VIP Rebels

VIP Rebels

" The horn sounds…, the gate opens,… YOUR RUN STARTS NOW! …"

How to play

You will start each game selecting three VIPs, each with their own unique special skill. After you select your VIP, you start your run. Whenever you start a run, you’ll choose how many villagers you use to collect resources like wood, food, and gold. The villagers drop resources at your treasure wagon and look for new sources automatically throughout the run.

When the gate opens, you will enter the procedurally generated lands of the Red, where you’ll need to get as far as you can in order to claim the best rewards. Venture further and further and more secret rewards and treasure will be granted.

You’ll have VIPs such as King Midas who has the ability to turn enemies into gold, the Viking, a dragon-summoning Nordic god, Blackbeard the pirate, ordering deadly cannonballs to obliterate enemies, or the Rocket Man with the power to land two rockets simultaneously on top of your enemies. These are just a few of the 25 VIPs that you’ll encounter along the way. More are planned and I’m looking to bring this number closer to 100.

There are big pirate armies that lie ahead of you, with bands of rebels hidden away in bushes and villages to slow your progress. Whether castles stand in the way or not, you will need to overcome the odds and create an army with the right mixture of units to counter the enemies ahead of you. Will you pick archers to mow down the slow infantry and risk them being charged down by cavalry? The choice is yours.

Once you finally get stopped, you’ll collect treasure and rewards, unlock, and upgrade more VIPs and return to the open gate once more.

So in short:

  • Select unique VIPs giving you strategic advantages.

  • Collect resources and build your army.

  • Take control of dragons and transform sheep into bloodthirsty warmachines

  • Win & lose big battles in your fight for loot.

  • Claim big rewards, unlock and upgrade new VIPs as you progress.

Quick note of the developer

_Hi there,

I just wanted to say thanks for showing an interest in the thing I’ve been passionate about for the last 3 years. We’ve made this journey together and I hope that you’re as hyped about this project as I am. :)

I started out wanting to create an RTS game for the Age of Empires fan inside me that doesn’t have the ability to sink hours into playing a game. The game is a bunch of quick fun runs, intertwined with big battles and resource gathering. On average, each run should take between 10 and 15 minutes.

If you like what I’m doing here and want to keep updated, please add the game to your Steam Wishlist to support me.

I will always love you for it!

¯_(ツ)_/¯

R._

Game’s Story:

An Ancient Tale Told by the Elders of Trem

While defending his sovereign realm and in defense of his people’s land, the brave and mighty golden-haired King of Trem slay Tazven—the strongest of all iron-clad opponent soldiers. What the King of Trem did not know is that Tazven was the sinister Sorcerer Leartnom’s only son. The Sorcerer, of the opposing mountain kingdom village of Yekrut, hidden between the Serpent Sea and the dark pine trees of Adanac, vowed to take revenge on the King for his grave mistake of slaying his son—which could not be forgiven—even in battle.

In vengeance, Sorcerer Leartnom cursed King Trem’s only child—a raven-haired daughter, Princess Julia. The curse imprisoned her in the castle dungeon with a power so great that her lungs would be pierced with shards of metal should she dare step outside of her cell. Once the king came to visit his daughter and deceptively attempted to remove his daughter from the dungeon by means of a hidden spiral staircase that was only known to the servants. But soon he found that his daughter’s breath was sucked from her lips with such sharp pain that her screams echoed in the guard’s armored helmets. Condemned to the cavernous halls of the castle’s bowls, Princess Julia was never to see daylight again until the curse was broken.

The King promised to give his throne to any man who could save his daughter from this dreadful fate of imprisonment just beneath his own feet in the castle dungeon on the Isle of Trem. Many soldiers and adventurers failed trying to save Princess Julia.

Until one day, after a terrible storm in the Serpent Sea, the Pirate Magician Yapla found himself washed up on the island Kingdom of Trem. He was the sole survivor of his shipwreck. The Pirate Magician Yapla realized that the only way out off of the island was to open the massive castle drawbridge with the wizard wand which was hidden by Sorcerer Leartnom in Princess Julia’s cell. Further intrigued by the prospect of being king, the Pirate Yapla embarked on an adventure through the castle’s dungeons to save himself and the cursed Princess Julia.

ArcheAge

After a long, long time playing this game, as you can see by my hours played. I have one thing to say about this game.

Trion ruined a completely awesome game. This game had everything that you could want from an MMO. Pretty good graphics made on Cryengine, an entire world including the ocean built from the ground up. Deep Sea diving for treasure hunting, massive ship battles, player built housing and even vehicles like tractors and boats ranging from rowboats, to fishing boats and trade boats, to outright galleons entire parties could crew.

Oh Archeage…Where do I begin…

Edit: this review was based off of the Kraken server (Used to be Enla) which was a merge of two different servers, from the start of Kraken everything went wrong and that is where most of my cons come from. If someone comments just be aware that their experience may not be the same due to being on a server with more stability. This was not just my view on the game but an overall assessment made by a guild of over 40 people. and a close estimate of population would be a 1:1:3 Haranyan (us) : Pirate (Purple and same faction reds) : Nuian (Red), so we were completely out numbered when it came to world PvP and trade runs.
