BONEWORKS

BONEWORKS

BONEWORKS is one of the only fantastic games on vr right now, right next to Half Life: Alyx. if you dont own this and you have a vr headset… what are you even playing??????

honest question tho comment what you have been playing instead of boneworks id love to hear

a lot of vr games are plagued with the “only 3 - 5 hours long” syndrome and it makes wanting to spend 30 dollars non-existent.

BONEWORKS is literally NOT that. it took me about 12 - 15 hours to beat the story mode, and the rest is all sandbox baybeee

This game is a great concept that could be a totally awesome experience in VR. After all, who hasn’t wanted to just blow shit up and see the fireworks and destructive aftermath? Unfortunately, this is a promising physics puzzler that falls short of greatness. That isn’t to say this a bad game, but it could have been so much better with some more time in the oven.

So I got this thinking it was going to be a vr angry birds type game. It is. You have three different kinds of weapons to knock down or destroy what seems like a lot of building levels. I haven’t seen it all since later levels need to be unlocked by completing the levels before them. It’s a great pick up and play for a few minutes game. Not much else to say about it. I’d say it’s worth 20$ and a nice game to get especially for friends when they stop by. I’m going to be going back to this game instead of the lab whenever I feel like knocking down stuff.

Ant Force

Ant Force

Ant Force is a platformer/PvP brawler game made by the Russian group Trinity Project by filling out some game templates for GameMaker Studio, a game construction kit. No real serious development effort is involved in filling out game construction kit templates, and it results in very poor quality games, something Trinity Project have a solid reputation for.

It’s no surprise this was dumped into cheap, nasty DailyIndieGame bundles.

While a half-hearted attempt at making a playable video game was done here, as this is differentiated a little from most copy+paste template games, the quality is still deplorably low.

This would be a cute free game to play for a few minutes, but for a paid product ($20!!!) it would need a looot more polish.

Good things:

It is quite ok for a school project.

Bad things:

In 15 minutes you will see everything that this game has to offer. Every few levels you get an weapon upgrade but these upgrades stop at level 8. After that you only get more and more things to shoot at appear at the same time on the screen. I was able to get to level 16 and it was ridiculous. The game was throwing 8-10 objects at the same time and they do bonce off from one another so there are many object going straight down to make you lose instead of bouncing from left to right like in the first 12 levels.

This is a great little game, simple but challenging at the same time! It doesn’t take itself too seriously - it had me laughing a few times.

This is definitely worth the price of a coffee if you like playing around with physics in space… and lasers.

A really fun party game with friends. Lots of screaming and laughing. You can really see the passion put into this game. Plus the zombies are really hard!

Similar to Gang Beasts but with weapons. It’s a blast to play in its current state, definitely added to the game night roster with it’s local co-op play. Tons of hilarious moments have been had already. Can’t wait to play more and for more content!
