This game is FUN. The graphics are awesome, the engine/sound effects are very satisfying, and there is around 40 hours of engaging gameplay in conquering everything it has to offer. The career mode is a little on the thin side, but there is a good variety of tracks and the finals offer a number of fresh obstacles to take on.

The physics are excellent. They are not broken like some claim. There is just a bit of a catch 22 in the career mode: you need upgrades in order to even finish some of the tracks offered, but you cannot get the upgrades without making a decent time and coming in third. I was able to work around this by tackling what tracks I was able to, unlocking upgrades along the way, and retiring from events that I simply could not do. In this fashion I was able to eventually get some better vehicles and upgrades and make great times on all the tracks.

I do love this game. I never leave feedback but I felt I enjoy it enough I should. The other reason im leaving feedback on the game is. It is different than most games. I feel I have played every other style of game out there. This one is different and its a good different. I dont feel im playing the same game just renamed like i do most of the time. I often go riding in the mountains and its a true passion of mine. When I cant go riding this is the next best thing.

Do I feel its a true sim? Its very close without real broken bones. I do see a few minor issues. But overall it is a game and getting a game this close when it comes to slow technical riding is a chore im sure. I do get stuck on a random small rock every once in a while that irritates me.

Tony Stewart’s All-American Racing

Tony Stewart’s All-American Racing

I don’t know why these Tony Stewart games are better than the mainline HEAT series from Monster, but it is really quite special.

If you enjoy dirt circletrack racing, but don’t want to enter into competitive sim-racing like iRacing, these are the games for you. This game has updated physics, and a progessive dirt layer added to the cars. The two things, really, that the already great Sprint Car game was missing.

It would have been nice if Monster added the Sprint Car content to this title. It will also be nice to see additional classes like Late Models, Super Late Models, Pro Trucks, and maybe some more models in Street Stock.

It has been so long since Dirt Track Racing games were released. This game is a very nice upgrade from those versions. First impressions are very positive. Very simple, fun racing game. Game play is very similar to Dirt Track racing, with greatly improved graphics.

Pros: 3 classes of cars to chose from, custom paint schemes (limited), tuning (simple or advanced)

Cons: Limited custom paint schemes, no track conditions (wet/dry), zero advantage to running the cushion (high side) of track.

Offroad Mania

Offroad Mania

I can’t remember how I came across this game, but I am glad I did.

The Gameplay is straight forward, you spawn on a platform that is suspended in air and have to reach the finish line without falling off. The game also offers collectible trophies as an additional challenge.

You can choose if you want to play “easy” mode or “hard” mode, the latter requires you to collect all 3 trophies per level before continuing. The 60 individual levels provide a increasing difficulty level, the only aspect I didn’t like about the choice of level design is the inversion of all levels starting from level 61. You are playing through the game again but with reversed levels.

Addicting indie game where you have to traverse various obstacles to drive across the finish line

Pros

→ plenty of levels to choose from (although half of the maps in classic mode are the same maps but in reverse)

→ decent vehicle selection

→ fun physics

→ well-balanced achievements

→ regular updates

→ different modes

→ low price

→ front and rear vehicle modification

→ great sounds

→ trading card drops

Neither

→ gameplay gets slightly tedious after a while

→ limited customization (only colors can be changed both on the truck and player)

Pure Rock Crawling

Pure Rock Crawling

Let’s start with the countless hours of spin tires, mudrunner and beam NG i’ve played to get my rock crawling fix. IRL i own a 08' JK on one tons/40’s, but have to travel far to wheel. Having a game dedicated strictly to just the art of crawling is amazing because i may not get the full satisfaction i get from the real thing, but these sims are the closest thing. This game specifically will be much better than those counterparts because it’s strictly dedicated to crawling rather than a logging road or a crash dummy course. If crawling interest you, then i believe you should most certainly purchase this game and support the great work this dev have put into this games current state. Which it’s in great shape and hopefully continues with the same momentum with your support ;)

[EDIT: 11/1/21018 Originally I said that the physics made the cars feel as if light, miniature cars. I no longer feel that’s the case. Not sure which update is the cause, but it did a great job of crreating the feeling of full size, full weight vehicles. VERY NICE!

Pure Rock Crawling is one of those games on Steam that calls out for a three-tier rating system. There’s plenty of good (and some not so good), so I decided to enjoy the best, and rate based on the game concept and hopes that come with all Early Access games. Thus, a positive rating, and every hope for a brighter, larger future.

I felt that this game was lacking lots of material for the game. The game crashed a few times for me. Then once I did manage to play the camera would go wonkey half of the time. The gameplay wasn’t great and no instructions on what to do or how to play.

O3DX

O3DX

I’ve got mixed feelings about this game. On one hand I love the concept and simple controls. On the other hand it’s hard to play a game that crashes all the time, and doesn’t let you control the camera.

The first level pack is fine, but even on sale it’s not really worth $8.49… maybe $4.24.

If the second level pack worked like it’s suppose to, then it would be worth $8.49.

And if I could get to the third level pack, then it would be worth $12.50.

And if I could finish the game and feel satisfied, then it would be worth $14.99.

Offroad 3DX is a physics based point to point racer, not dissimilar to the Trials series, albeit with some interesting and innovative twists.

Gameplay:

First off, although very accessible, O3DX is hard….. Very hard, you won’t be flying through the levels like in other physics racers. After the first few tutorial levels are finished, you’ll have to work hard, just to get to the finish line on most maps.

The first thing that stands out in O3DX is the fact that although you can only move your vehicle on a 2D plain, all the levels are rendered in 3D. This gave the developer, the ability to add things like tricky, slow corners and dynamic camera views.

This game is quite strange but enjoyable, I would like to master it soon to explore the whole worlds. It runs better while holding right click so it becomes its own challenge trying to hold right click while steering. either way for a dollar I am satisfied with my purchase, hope from more from flex etnerainment

Pros:

+++ One of the best handling models i have experienced in a driving game. It is not necessarily realistic, it is one of a kind and it feels great to drive. It is also balanced well between keyboard, controller and a driving wheel.

++ Challenge mode, where you race against yourself in a time trial and acquire trophies. The difficulty is well balanced even for a skilled driver, unexperienced players may need some practice to acquire trophies.

Amazing game!

Challenging but very rewarding driving physics that take a while to learn but that just makes the satisfaction of nailing a corner even greater.

Game runs smoothly and looks great, I’ve been playing on DualShock4 and the game feels responsive and vibration feels pretty good. Haven’t encountered any glitches yet either! Only a few cars and tracks right now but hey that’s early access, there’s more on the way. Had a quick stab at multiplayer and had some fun races, the 3 minute qualifying format is really fun. Nice to see a functioning track vote system too.
