Tin Can

Tin Can

I came across this game whilst browsing for titles under £12 & Im sooooo glad I did cus I might not of ever discovered it under its own name & what it represents: “Tin Can.”

The game puts you in an escape pod being launched from a large exploding Spacecraft.(cutscene) It is then upto you to survive has long has you can by managing the different systems via there components aboard the “Pod” from steller “events” occuring in space - which are (ATM) Ice Nebulas, Electrical Nebulas, Asteriod Collisions & Star Proximities. Each of which event requires different ways of handling your Pods systems & there components to survive them. In saying that there is a learning curve.

One of the best system simulations in an indie game. It focuses heavily on this aspect, and the production quality is very high probably partially thanks to the narrow focus. But even after you have seen all of the basics of the gameplay loop, you still haven’t seen everything.

There is more than meets the eye

Tin Can reveals surprising depth and attention to detail in the systems simulation, as well as how external events in space affect them. There are multiple ways to deal with problems with varying effectiveness and amount of work, time and danger involved in solving them. There are strategies to deal with individual problems, as well as overall strategy with how you approach your entire run. Experimenting with different approaches extend the hours of fun you’ll get out of this. Although I have to mention that I have found “the best” solution to each of the encounters that I would be tempted to use every time if the idea of experimentation wasn’t more interesting.

Homo Flimsy - The Ragdoll Goalkeeping Simulator

I’d be lying if I said I hadn’t had this game wishlisted for a long time. I honestly thought it would cost a bit more too. The original trailer was vague, but now that I’ve played, the trailer explained everything in serious depth and detail. Fun game, can’t wait to see what else comes out of it. Workshop would be cool to see too.

Controls feel a bit wonky at first, but they end up making sense. I hell of a lot of fun, especially for the price. I think there is a ton of potential here and excited to see it.

So uh…yeah, this sure is a game that I spent two dollars on.

It’s a game about taking a shit on quite likely the most despised year of all time. (Also peeing on it…and throwing multiple Trumps at it) But wait, you can do other things like shit, piss, or throw Trumps at the likes of COVID-19, the toilet…toilet paper…the…walls…

Okay look this isn’t a game you’re made to take too seriously. It is only $2 after all. It’s a nice game to get a nice chuckle out of after the horrid year.

But screw that tank lid achievement. I can’t for the life of me get that one. (That’s also why I have more hours on this game than you might expect. I eventually gave up)

I mean, what can you say? It pretty much says it in the title, it is a game where you fling the squishiest of projectiles at 2020!

Let out your frustrations on the year 2020 (and 2021 if you unlock the super secret mode!) by defecating and weeing on it! It is cathartic, satisfying and very silly and immature but does fulfil a certain need.

This game is the first games from GAME Games (try saying that ten times fast) and is pretty solid (or should that be squishy game). The sound are effects are are delightfully, and disgustingly, satisfying.

Drift Long Racing

Drift Long Racing

This is the 15th review of the Steam Redlight series, a series where I purposely seek out negatively or controversially rated games on Steam to see if they’re as bad as the Internet says they are. It’s accompanied by a video review that can be found here .

In summary, I can’t recommend this game, it’s just not very fun. I was able to essentially master the core gameplay mechanic of racking up the combo counter for drifts after 33 minutes of gameplay, and I just couldn’t lose after that. It’s also accompanied by discrepancies between the About This Game, the Early Access Description, and the game itself as well as the every single soundtrack prematurely cutting out halfway through to start the next. This game is also just a more barebones branch of the developer’s previous game Retrowave Need for Speed Drift… so, I’d say just get that, but that’s not even really a recommendation.

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator

I have been a virtual Pilot way back since FS2002 Professional.

I currently fly FSX SE, Prepar3D, X-Plane 11, Aerofly FS2, Helicopter Simulator from Lines Studio, Combat Air Patrol 2, etc.

Lets just say that I am not new on customizing my loyal Thrustmaster T-Flite Hotas X.

Some platforms are more intuitive than others.

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator is sadly one of the most head scratching interface mapping so far, at least for this Pilot.

Here are the problems: If you select the profile “simple joystick” for my device, it is a constant hit and miss that your binding will register.

Horror Bar VR

Horror Bar VR

I wanted to love this game soooo bad, and I did, until several bugs made it impossible to progress.

I’ve made it to level 19, struggeling with disappearing fish and fries, plus mustard working randomly, and as other people mention- too little time for given tasks, especially orders with several dishes. Things like trays, cups and plates falls easily over, and often far, so you have to start over. So far, so good, with a little luck I could finish the levels despite of theese annoying bugs, still with a little love for the game.

Real player with 10.7 hrs in game

If you like games like overcooked then this will be an instant hit for you.

I got this on sale for $16 and I think that was a good price, $20 seems a little high because of some lacking features like a freeplay mode and some difficulty options.

I’m really hoping for dlc down the road with a different settings like a carnival or bakery that expand the way you play, it could be really fun.

Pros :

Fun setting and neat characters with good graphics

many different recipes and combinations, I’m only about halfway through the campaign and there are still ingredients that I haven’t even used yet. Everything recipe and combination feels unique and cool.
