In each of the far corners of this dreamlike galaxy are the spirits of guardian animals, whimsical creatures that seem close and sentimental to a wandering soul of a young girl who explores ceaselessly through the cosmos. Floating between planets with the most graceful elegance and encountering this realm’s many colorful entities, each with their own history and past of mysteries for the playful space girl to discover.

Each node on our galactic map presents the player with a single stage of different planetary arrangements, some solid, some bouncy, some composed of water for you to splash through to the other side. Each maze of differently sized planet obstacles hides one shining yellow star to obtain and bring to the exit through skillful navigation and manipulation of gravity. Different plots on the sprawling and sparkling map hold the key to important elemental powers allowing you to become light as a feather and floating at a consistent level or heavy as a rock and plummeting towards the surface of a nearby planet. Successfully harnessing the power of these natural elements guides you easily through the galaxy.

Tiny and Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers

Tiny and Big: Grandpa’s Leftovers

Well, Tiny & Big is a fun and pretty unique newer-age 3D platformer really.

I first completed this game in 2012, so I have come back to this game having not played it in 8 years. I wasn’t as accustomed to 3D platformers back then as I am now, and I remember getting through the game, kind of being a little glad that it was over and moving on. I didn’t finish this game with a very high opinion of it, and I’m not sure why I chose to come back to the game when I had that opinion. With that said though I’m not sure what kind of grumpy b*tch juice I was on back then because I really enjoyed it this time around. I couldn’t remember the game at all so it isn’t even as if it was any easier this time around.

So let me start off by saying this game is excellent, except for one incredibly major flaw. I love the level design, I think the concepts are fun, the physics engine is great, the story line is interesting, the cut scenes are wacky and neat, the dialog from the painter is well written, the sound effects are tremendous and don’t get old, the art is a lovely stylized, it’s funny and I love this game.

Now for the one incredible unabashedly enormous flaw: I want to create the world’s largest Tower and the game caps the free mode or “Memorial tower” at 300 units. Of course, I understand why: The game designers don’t want cheating in online scoreboards, they don’t want to stress out your hardware, and it’s a smart decision from their perspective.

The Floor is Jelly

The Floor is Jelly

The Floor is Jelly. No title describes what this game developed by Ian Snyder is really about more. This is a platformer game where you control a little tiny human guy and guide him through each level, with each level split up into several rooms connected by windows.

Your little guy can jump around, and can climb up walls by jumping up them like in the Mega Man X games. It doesn’t sound that simple, though. Whereas other platform games took place on solid ground, in The Floor is Jelly, well, the ground acts exactly like that. As you move around, the ground beneath your feet violently wobbles and jiggles around like a gigantic waterbed. It’s not just the ground that flings around, too. Even the walls and ceilings ripples and bounces as you wall jump and hit the ceilings retrospectively. It’s not all bad, however. You can take advantage of the wobbly ground by using it as a trampoline, but you’ll need to time your jumps right or your bounce may fall flat. It may take you a while to get used to these bouncy castle physics, but soon enough, you’ll be bounding around like a pro.

I don’t recommend it, but you may still like it. My reasoning is below.

Here’s what you do:

You play as a tiny little two-legged thing which is capable of jumping off floors and walls. The floors and walls, as the title suggests, are jelly-like and react as such when you touch them. The more force you put against these surfaces, the more they move. Fluctuating the walls and floors can add height and distance to your jumps, allowing you to reach some areas that you couldn’t reach otherwise.

Simple Dot

Simple Dot

Great game. I like the puzzles and the replay value of the game. Trying to get the highest score in each puzzle is fun. Also others physics games with drawing elements usually have immense slowdowns, this one works perfectly.

Gran juego.

I really like Simple Dot! After 30 hours I have been able to get 711,091 points and am listed as #1 at this time. It takes a lot of imagination and understanding to get above 4900 points on a level, but that is where I get the most satisfaction. I haven’t been able to do that on all of them but on many of them. More please!

Key Features

Welcome to our Company!

You have just been hired to fix the mess that is Toy Robot Emporium’s production line.

The men and women down in engineering have whipped up various tools they believe will help you make a complete production line. You just need to drag and drop these springs and other such tools onto the line, and TA-DA, they are built before your eyes.

Those beautiful brilliant people made you some springs for bouncing the robots, fans for blowing the robots, and these magnet things for…I’m not really sure what they are for, they just sorta spin the robots in circles. You’re the expert so I’m sure you’ll figure it out, I mean that is why we hired you!

You can always send a test robot down the line to make sure it works. But some of the production lines have more problems than may first appears. We have 50+ lines in need of your expertise.

We are also cutting costs and only making limited tools for you to use. But you’ll be fine. If you need me, I’ll be in my office overseeing the rest of Human Resources.

BONEWORKS

BONEWORKS

BONEWORKS is one of the only fantastic games on vr right now, right next to Half Life: Alyx. if you dont own this and you have a vr headset… what are you even playing??????

honest question tho comment what you have been playing instead of boneworks id love to hear

a lot of vr games are plagued with the “only 3 - 5 hours long” syndrome and it makes wanting to spend 30 dollars non-existent.

BONEWORKS is literally NOT that. it took me about 12 - 15 hours to beat the story mode, and the rest is all sandbox baybeee

Few words about the game

Collider is a great, colorful arcade game with non-stop energetic gameplay, from the very beginning of it. You get to choose from one of 5 different game types, each with its own unique rules and variety of amazing music in background. Singleplayer is good and challenging as it’s quite hard to achieve good scores alone. Multiplayer however is epic and terribly addictive, I can’t wait for another opportunity to play with someone else, it’s just too good!

Puzzle Island VR

Puzzle Island VR

Great on Rift CV1, OK on Odyssey+, Had to Change Controller Bindings on Rift S

The thing that draws me most to VR is the ability to “visit” stunning environments. The environment in this game is sparse (a few sandbar islands with some trees, surrounded by ocean), but still manages to be one of the most attractive and immersive I have seen. The ocean wave effects, both the visuals and the buoyancy physics, are extremely well done. The puzzle props are realistic and fit nicely with the theme. The textures were detailed, even up close. I’ve taken numerous breaks from the puzzles, just to stare out at the waves. The Puzzle Island world looked beautiful on all three headsets. The clarity of the Rift S was particularly well-suited to showcasing the excellent graphics and water animation. I wouldn’t mind an option to turn off the music, to enjoy the nature sounds.

Gameplay (Level 1 - 18 solutions): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJlK22lbXIs

I didn’t expect to play it for two hours straight but that’s exactly what happened. It’s set on an island which to date has the most realistic graphics I’ve experienced in VR. I’ve played 19 of 20 levels and so far it has been mostly hard puzzles. This was one of the first puzzle games I’ve tried on the Vive and it’s now one of my favorite games. As a whole I truly recommend it!

PROS

  • Graphics are very realistic and to me it’s the most realistic environment I have experienced in VR.

Ballistic

Ballistic

Ballistic.

Holy shit.

Let me start by saying that this game is no joke. The devs weren’t kidding in the trailer when they said the game has a “vicious skill curve.” This game is HARD.

If you’re the kind of gamer that loves a challenge, pick this game up, you wont regret it.

This is the kind of platformer that takes both skill and precision to play, and the game isn’t going to hold your hand AT ALL.

Besides a bare-bones keybind guide, you’re given little to no instruction on how to actually play. You just have to start playing and learn the hard way; Through trial-and-error. You have to learn how to wall-jump with megadrive. How to abuse slo-mo to bash drones and to aim jumps. How to get a giant speed boost by ramming yourself into the floor several times in quick succession.

Real player with 19.6 hrs in game

The core gameplay loop is very addictive. I love going fast, smashing into things, and using bullet time to either correct my trajectory or to make for cool impact visuals as I travel at breakneck speeds.

Once you get a feel for how strong the launch kick is you start to not need the bullet time feature for normal jumps anymore, making you able to clear some levels with a target time of 1 minute in about 15 seconds in a glorious sequence of well angled jumps. You may find that after only a couple of hours of playtime you begin to perfect your movement, being able to move faster and with more power than before, and without making an accidental and fatal plunge off the edge. The feeling you get from it is true enjoyment and pride in your skill and results.
