Floating Point

Floating Point

This game is just STUPID amounts of addicting; after you get the hang of it (take about ten minutes or less), you just can’t stop playing it. The controls are simple and mostly intuitive, and it isn’t long before you’re having a blast.

It’s oddly relaxing, yet exciting; you’re swinging over–and occasionally under–what I can only assume is some sort of ocean, looking like the unholy spawn of Spider-Man and a laser pointer, and at times it’s difficult not to shout, “Wheeeee!” as you swing around hitting the targets that get you points.

What a beautiful yet simple game, absolute masterpeice.

Are you tired after several CS:GO or DotA 2 games?

Are you looking for an antidepressant?

Well, this game is for you, and would you look at it, it’s free!

On a technical level this game is very simple, you are a red dot, bouncing and swinging across platforms gathering bars, now, there’s a twist ofcourse!

The faster you go, the longer the bars are! So a huge part of the game is mommentum, swinging from platform to platform like Tarzan will be inevitable if you want to do well.

I played this game on an Oculus Rift S. It is VERY early access but I see huge potential. The game reminds me of Gmod a lot but in VR.

Can’t wait to see where this game goes in the future!

This is a very very VERY early work in progress. It should honestly be advertised as such, just to let people know!

This is an absolutely promising game, as is quite obvious, they’re going for VR GMOD, which would be pretty fun, but they’re a long ways off.

I played it around the end of February, 2020, so I can’t say much about the state of the application at the moment, but here’s just about what you could do

-Spawn 1 of… 30 or so (rather uninteresting) props. Basic tables, a ball, multiple chairs and benches… Things you can’t really do much with. I very much so assume all of these props are royalty free assets but I could be wrong, they could all be hand-made.

Rag Doll Joe

Rag Doll Joe

This definitely plays to the average person’s enjoyment of watching other people suffer. It’s like ten pin bowling with a person named Joe as the bowling ball. Or, more accurately, those rigged carnival games where you have to knock down a stack of bottles. The hard part of this game is that you don’t know how hard Joe will hit the items when you throw him, so some levels take longer than others, depending on the weight of the object. But it’s so much fun. I really hope the developer adds more levels, because this is a GREAT game, and I highly recommend that everyone give it a go.

This game raised the bar for so many. Video games are a monument to man’s yearning for entertainment, but Rag Doll Joe sets a new standard for the age of video games and modern entertainment. The flawlessly smooth and realistic physics are something to marvel at, and the art style is a testament to the simplistic, yet complex art style of the twenty-first century. This is the sort of game that will be remembered for generations to come, referenced by many upcoming developers thankful for the trend-setting mechanics. This is a game that I will hold near and dear to my heart for years to come. Not a day will pass that I do not fondly recall memories of this game.

Toribash

Toribash

To be honest this game is definitely not for everyone. If you would like to get into this game you have to spend a lot of time raising your understanding. The reason why I recommend it though is because it is actually a decent game. Probably 80% of beginners will stop playing before they get past black belt just because they feel very restrained by what they can do. In some ways this is true, but the limit to what you can do is many, many times greater than what people (beginners) think. Watching the Tori Legends as you first open the game can make you feel discouraged as you can’t even do a flip properly. It can takes YEARS in some cases to polish your skills to that level, and even then you may still not be able to do as good as you hoped because this game really depends on the mindset of the player. The physics of this game are difficult to understand and get use to. At moments you feel that you’re flying way to high to do your tricking/sparring or that your body just got 20x heavier and stopped half way through a flip. You need to understand every little effect that each joint does. People (beginners) really underestimate most of the joints just because they are not skilled/experienced enough to use them properly. This is what changes the effect of your physics and understanding of situations. Suddenly your flips and and hand spring landings are getting smoother, faster, and lower to the ground. Your vision of how you see your joints and shadow are completely overhauled. Your arsenal of moves are multiplied to an unimaginable number. You see improved and more efficient ways of overcoming a landing or counter that didn’t seem possible when you first started. Eventually you steadily become a pro at visualizing foreshadows, predictions, and problem solving. You never really realize how much you improve because it almost always felt with you.

Let me get right to the point and say I love this game. When I first started out about a year ago I felt like a toddler learning to walk, and I admit, it was a bit frustrating. Then I turned to Youtube. I learned a few basic aikido and judo (two different mods/game modes in the game) opening moves and from there my results sky-rocketted. I was flooring noobs left and right until I got to the intermediate level where (most) every player had a rudimentary understanding of how to move in the game then it was fairly evenly matched and I quickly got over myself.

I’ve been playing since closed alpha, and can say that this game just get better and better. Right now I can no longer experiance any bugs, and I am very impressed for it just being an early access game with so smooth and nice bug-free gameplay at solid FPS. The game is free, so why not give it a try?

It is a very fun game ;)

The controls are sometimes feel clunky, but in most of the cases it works fine xD

The sword is probably the weapon to start with this game, the bow is really hard to actually hit someone.

Here is some online gameplay footage just to give you some impression:

Deadly Daycare VR

A very fun and unique VR experience! It gets a little spooky if you don’t tend to the creatures' needs fast enough but that only incentivizes you to finish your tasks quicker. Also, the devs are very receptive to user feedback as they fix issues very soon after they’re brought to light. 10/10 game.

Pretty fun game that is quality over quantity and I really like that, the game is only 3 levels long but it’s pretty fun. I liked the first level the most because I love the goat, but the twins were also pretty cool. Good game I will come back to if there’s more updates to it. Only bug I found is that I beat level 3 but got no achievement for it, nothing big or game breaking just something I noticed 10/10 Good game, and it’s free.

I’ll save a full review for the full release, but so far I have really been enjoying this early version! I have 51 hours in the first kickstarter demo, that’s more than I put into some finished games, so I think it’s definitely worth your time to try it out if you like building vehicles.

So far it’s very much like an improved version of Terratech or Crossout, you build vehicles in a late-1800s/early-1900s military style and use them to complete missions and kill other vehicles. The editor is easy to use, combat feels nice with both small and big guns, pretty much every design you can think of will work in combat, and I can’t think of any other games that will let you build half-tracked amphibious battleships. The physics are very well optimized too, you won’t have to worry about building something so big it crashes the game.

Super weird but strangely a ton of fun. Would be more fun if the car was a bit easier to handle, there was an option to continue previous games and a restart option. Would definitely pay a few bucks if it meant getting these or other options. Would definitely pay a few bucks for the game if it meant improvements like those

It’s free, it’s floaty and broken and yet I played it way longer than I thought I would, or should. Update this and it could become a proper thing, nice visuals, simplistic yet working update system, 80s-inspired mayhem, great start. 7,5/10
