Detached: Non-VR Edition

Detached: Non-VR Edition

Beautiful game placed in space, originally created for VR and now available in nonVR version. It’s FPX game where we want to survive and find a way to get back home safely from malfunctioned space station. This will require a skill to control your spacesuit powered with fuel. We also need a oxygen and both of these can by found around by exploring an open world of the damaged space station. Some puzzle needs to be solved in the game to complete some of the tasks like opening the doors or activate various systems. Great looking and well optimized graphics and nice sounds well making a feeling of loneliness in empty space. Game has cross-platform PvP mode. Detached is a fantastic game that I’m hoping to play in VR mode some day.

I would love to recommend this game, it’s quite a nice, short FPS story. Flying around in an authentic zero-g experience on Realistic mode was amazing, it’s the kind of game I like most. There’s not much shooting, just floating through space finding the path out, with enough light puzzles to not be boring.

Unfortunately, finding the small progression MacGuffins in level 2 was awful. They were hidden away and difficult to find when trying to progress the story. It took me a few hours flying around looking for them. I found a few, but they were placed near another progression point later down the line, so taking them earlier than I’m supposed to means I have to look for others in the more difficult places anyway.

This is a nice, cozy experience. And i recommend it if you are looking for a chill open-world puzzle game.

This game will strain even supercomputers on highest settings, but you can get it to run just fine with a strong computer. The optimization for potato setups is very poor, so if you are gaming on a potato, like yours trully, check out the discord server for help

This is not for everyone. It is for people who will brew literally everything they forage and then try how it tastes (In this game) - then pour that potion on your stool - then pour another serving on a plant, a la scientific method. This is for the people who enjoy exploration and foraging. The puzzling part is in how collecting some of the plants is a challenge. You have to figure out the right pieces to rub together. Minimalistic style helps by not distracting you from the core gameplay, which is VERY appreciable when you have a lot of potential interactions

Was a novel idea when it first became available on steam. Unfortunately i have never seen any changes made to game play by the creator and the music doesn’t fit the theme of the game. Unable to make any real changes to the home is sad. The well is too far from the house which is OK at first i get what the developer is going for but it is annoying when you have hours 7 hrs into the game. The game has two phases of the day very bright and dark no real twilight. I really wanted to see some progress made anywhere but the game just needs more of everything. No updates come out for the game as far as i can tell. The different climate zones feel unpolished not much in them. The forest don’t feel magical if you are on and island that is for the most part undisturbed the place would have should feel wild and enchanted. It has about every climate zone available all smashed on top of each other a little odd but fine but no caves, and no swamps. The game could use something to simulate weather even a little snow or rain would go a long way not much immersion there is snow on the ground but it is not snowing in the game.

Determinant

It is the year 2140. One hundred years after a massive meteor struck the earth, almost wiping out the entire planet. The survivors retreated into the ruined cities and began rebuilding them into massive fortresses walled off from the rest of the desolate earth.

Those who did not make it to the cities were permanently shut out. Determined to survive, they are constantly trying to find a way in.

You wake up abandoned outside in the wasteland with no memory of what happened. Survive and ultimately make your way into the cities.

INTRODUCTION

This is a physics-based open-world survival adventure game. It is planned to include survival, base building, crafting, puzzles, combat and a compelling story to drive it. Building will be a core gameplay mechanic where you build structures to overcome challenges and solve puzzles in the world. For example building a bridge to cross a river, stairs to reach high places, or defending against enemies.

It is still currently very early in development, but some basic survival and building is already in place.

IMMERSIVE PHYSICAL INTERACTIONS

Every object you grab has collisions and interacts with the environment. Push things with a stick, hit objects or move things out of the way. Your hands will dynamically touch and rest nearby walls or surfaces.

Characters are full physics-based active ragdolls and will react to and collide with physics objects. They can walk, run, climb and lose balance and fall down realistically. Grab and pull them and they will move along. Pull too hard and they will fall down.

UNIQUE 3D PHYSICAL INVENTORY SYSTEM

Unlike other games with a standard 2D grid inventory, this inventory system stores items as physical 3D objects and can be moved and arranged and grabbed seamlessly during gameplay. A custom physics solution allows for controllable collisions, arranging and prevents objects flying away.

REALISTIC FOOD

Highly detailed food models based on actual photographs makes eating an enjoyable experience. Like in real life, you need time to chew and swallow and not just instantly have it disappear.

BUILDING

Build your own base and defend against enemies. Solve puzzles in the world, for example building a bridge to cross a river, stairs to reach high places, or just plain out creatively building things for fun. Crafting and survival still a work in progress.

How does it work!?

How does it work!?

Though it may be inspired by “The Incredible Machine,” this physics-based puzzler is nothing but incredibly lazy. Besides unpredictable behavior, inability to move placed parts, and the lack of any sort of written explanations, the developer clearly didn’t even bother to test his own game: Stages 15 & 17 have offscreen areas that are mandatory for completion, yet there’s no way to reach them. The game cannot be completed in its current state.

From the beginning, you have access to all of the game’s twenty-something stages, each with a certain task to perform. It might be getting a ball to a checkered zone, popping a balloon, or breaking a box. The tools you’re given have a significant variety, like planks, fans, batteries, power strips, motors, and spinners. It’s all pretty simple, and even without explanation it’s possible to work out what needs to be done.

Real player with 2.1 hrs in game

This is one of those games where the title is entirely appropriate-just not in the way the developers intended. You will find yourself yelling at the screen, “OKAY! HOW THE F__K DOES IT WORK???” Not because the puzzle is hard per se, but because there is ZERO explanation of how the various components work, leaving you to figure that out through trial and error. Here’s a hint: holding down the ‘ctrl’ key is usually what you’re looking for. The next HUGELY ANNOYING feature is that once a component is placed IT IS FORBIDDEN TO MOVE IT! Violators will be shipped off to a Gulag in Siberia where they are unaware that the USSR no longer exists. I’m kidding (I hope). It isn’t forbidden, it’s just impossible. Which means that, having spent ten minutes setting up an elaborate device and placing all the components you place the very last of 37 different parts-and discover it’s just a bit shy of where it needs to be. Which means that, since it can’t be moved, you have to START ALL THE F__K OVER AGAIN! AND AGAIN AND AGAIN, ad infinitum.
