I mean its an alright game when it’s on sale anyway but the main reason I got it is because I wanted to collect the trading cards to make the badges that this game had. The game itself does in fact keep me entertained though I really wish it still had its badges…

Sorry although the game itself is alright I’m really upset that it doesn’t have its badges anymore…

-Maybe bring the badges back for this game??

You occasionally get lots of drops on the first few stages which really helps and got me to the end. This is a pretty basic game but it has a bad b movie charm about it, enough to keep me entertained.

A very fun and replayable roguelite. This is one of the only games I’ve played in the past year that I actually wanted to get back into and play again!

The randomly generated levels give a new experience each time, and all the different enemies have their own interesting way of dealing with them.

I do think the gameplay has a few flaws in the balancing, particularly with the powerups, but overall it doesn’t impede the fun too much.

A perfect blend of action combat, exploration and strategy in an incredibly simple package. This is one of the best examples of how a few basic ingredients can be combined to create a brilliant dish. Overall outstanding design and solid execution. GG!

Infinite Dronin

Infinite Dronin

Let me start by saying this is not a game I usually play or would enjoy. It is just not my type of game. But.. that being said I put in about 28 hours just last week. At the moment of writing I am top 2 of the world for both maps. And I have played on twitch with support from the number one and getting sabotaged by the number 3 of the world.

No about the game. It is an infinite shooter, where you level up your support drone and fight enemies. Your main character starts at level 1 each run. A run lasts until you die. And as the title states the levels are infinite. Enemies keep getting stronger to a point that getting hit by a tiny monster on a very high level can take you out in one shot (though I haven’t gotten that far yet). So typically you will be doing longer and longer runs. After every run your drone gets xp and levels up, giving you more health and damage (allowing you to reach higher levels). It can be very grindy when playing alone. But it also has awesome Twitch integration, so other can send their (high level) drones to help you out and give you enormous health/attack boosts. Even people without the game can send drone to help and they will also level up. If that person later buys the game. They will start with their already leveled up drone. So sending a drone to assist a friend has two benefits: it makes the run easier for the player and you level up your drone without doing a single thing (other then sending it).

As written in the description Infinite Dronin is a roguelike hack-and-slash game. You fight your way through waves of enemies in consecutive arenas - always at your side your little steel buddy.

First of all the game does something right, it’s addicting: after every run you want to start a new one just to reach the next arena (and you were so close…). You get used to the enemy movements quite fast and with every level up of your drone you are able to get further. During a run there are plenty of different skills to choose from so every run is unique. As I don’t have a Twitch account I can’t really test and review the Twitch integration, but based on other reviews/gameplay videos it seems well implemented and a lot of fun.

Great game and an impressive bullet hell. A small note though is that a single enemy will spawn off screeen at the bottom, so just as a warning for if you can’t find that last enemy. This doesn’t change may rating though because for me that just shows that they can make the game even better. Honestly hoping for a multiplayer game mode though, because then things would get real interesting.

Finally a simple VR shooter. Yes you can choose to have complicated reloading, but this is the only game I’ve seen where you can choose how you reload. Throwing stuff feels fluid and powerful, and is easily my favorite part of the game. The 7 different arenas give me different euphoric feelings.

I highly recommend this game for anyone looking for a VR game they can play easily without frustration, that is also polished.

I mainly play Beat Saber in VR but I heard about this game because the devs are popular Beat Saber mappers who are now getting into VR game development. I fully support Indie developers so I thought I’d give this one a shot.

I’m definitely not a hardcore gamer or can call myself very good at VR shooters. So I definitely fit into the casual gamer category this game is geared towards. The first thing I noticed when I loaded the game is how intuitive everything is. I see some guns in front of me and targets and I can immediately try it out and learn what to do. I didn’t have to wait for any tutorials, cut scenes or anything. I could just start doing some shooting and have some fun right away!

Orbital Bullet – The 360° Rogue-lite

Orbital Bullet – The 360° Rogue-lite

Before OBs latest update the game may have been small with regular updates to areas, weapons, and perks, but it was also pretty much bug free, promising for an early access game, and worth the small price. Since the For Eternity update I can’t recommend the game anymore. Every perk and ability had their points removed, not refunded, and previous games were erased. This game is not connected to a cloud so recovering those saves is out of the question. Replaying and unlocking everything was not fun a second time since the update brought an overload of bugs. Mobs still getting stuck in terrain preventing you from advancing even though the devs state they fixed it, perks showing they’re unlocked but not taking effect, getting some perks although I haven’t unlocked them, picking up ammo but weapons showing as empty and unable to fire your weapon, among many others, as well as horrible optimization that eats your PC’s memory.

honestly it’s delightful. I was sceptical of the concept when I downloaded the demo when steam had the big showcase a few months back, Foregone and orbital bullet(even as demos) became my go to games for short burst of entertainment when I only have 20-45 minutes to kill. I’ve logged about 35 hours since purchase and I haven’t ever felt like the gameplay became repetitive or grindy, the versatility of randomized skill tree builds, gun drops, maps, and merchant pickups makes it feel like a new challenge and keeps things interesting. Gun play is unique, the soundtrack is decent and the in-game sounds and various creature/enemies, the development investment is incredibly apparent and appreciated, it doesn’t feel like a clone of this or that, it’s pretty unique, to me at least, albiet that’s said with my semi limited scope of current and recent releases. End of the day Im more than happy with the purchase, obviously at some point the allure and interest is gonna fade, but for a game I could easily see myself dumping 100 hours into in the next year or so, at 11-12$ that’s a steal. it’s just fun the machanics are solid, a few small bugs but nothing game breaking, and in early access I am definitely more than a little excited to see what a polished fully developed iteration of this game will be. good stuff.
