This game has promise, while short it does have replayability. gameplay is simple and thats a good thing. run though stages fighting on coming enemys, kill them and they drop health and sometimes weapon mods/attachments. this is always fun as you can create some crazy creations if you get lucky enough in your run. a Mac-10 SMG that has the barrel of an Springfield chambered in .22 with a 50 round magazine is impractical in real life BUT…useful here. it has it’s fair share of bugs as expected, such as enemys clipping though walls and the odd Frame rate spike here and there but nothing game breaking (as far as im aware). worth the buy just for the price alone, but this will be a game i’ll play a round of every day just to see how fast i can finish it. speedrunners will have a blast with this i think :)

Airlock Arena

Airlock Arena

Become the ultimate cargo smuggler

Welcome to the thrilling and dangerous occupation of galactic cargo smuggling. In Airlock Arena, you are responsible for procuring, protecting, transporting, and ultimately delivering precious cargo to the far reaches of space. Avoid the Authorities, look for opportunities, and ultimately make a profit while bringing much needed supplies to colonies cut off by the ravages of galactic civil war. The chance to make a fortune is real, but the odds of dying are even higher. This is no game for the weak.

Game Features

  • Highly strategic 2-D action “rogue-like-like” gameplay on spaceships and planets for endless hours of replayability.

  • Simulated vacuum physics! Smugglers quickly learn that air can be their best friend or their worst enemy.

  • Randomly generated destructible/repairable ships. Each playthrough requires different strategies to accommodate different ship layouts.

  • Tons of random event combinations to challenge your skills and decision-making abilities while under pressure.

  • Work together to restart broken ship systems such as engines, blast doors, and artificial gravity generators, when they inevitably fail.

  • Single player and Cooperative contracts both locally and online, so you can play together on the couch, or across the net. Die alone, or die alongside your friends in a universe full of unknown terrors.

  • Unique items, including the blaster, repair gun, grapple beam, and jet pack to help deal with the dangers of space in whatever way you see fit.

  • Financial decision making. Do you use those credits to help make the mission more forgiving, or hold on to them to go for a high score?

  • Unexpected cargo. Space is full of all kinds of trash and treasures. Sometimes the best cargo is what you find along the way! Take a perilous spacewalk and see if you can’t reel some of it in!

  • Biomatter absorbing respawn platforms. Get the lifeless corpse of one of your friends back to a respawn platform, and see them spring back to life, ready to die once more!

  • Increasingly difficult contracts to keep even skilled players on their toes. You’ll be yelling at Airlock Arena for hours to come.

  • Competitive deathmatch and capture the cargo modes to test your mastery of the game mechanics against your friends.

  • A super-secret ending that only the most observant players will find! Don’t tell anyone… it’s a secret!

The game as a good base and could be amazing but I come out of each playing session with disappointment for what it could be and what it’s actually not.

The game is very easy and the random part feel random for the sake of it and sometime feel redundant and where some progression could be done and or seen it’s actually unlocked from the start making the rare possible goal to play the game nonexistent. I can tell the dev behind the game have some talent but I’m not sure he know how to direct his creative energy correctly

Fallback

Fallback

It’s got a lot of spirit, but has some issues in places. With the right approach, it’s a pretty fun rogue-like, but at the moment, it’s also easy to run into some annoying experiences. This review is probably overly thorough, so just read the last paragraph if you’re not really stuck on whether to buy it or not.

Moving through the 3 dimensional environment through connected 2 dimensional planes takes a bit of getting used to, can result in some unintuitive movement (usually involving jumping off ladders or ledges that transition between 2 perpendicular planes), and has painfully tight tolerances in some places. However, thorough exploration of the levels is often well rewarded. Also, a good understanding of how the movement works lets you traverse the levels faster and can even provide an advantage in combat situations from time to time.

```Fallback is a new roguelike set in a post-apocalyptic era, where the surface of the earth has been affected by a giant ecological disaster that forced mankind underground. In this subterranean world, humanity succeeded in inventing machines that could do most of the dirty work, such as mining and establishing living conditions. But over time, the machines gained the intelligence to turn against humanity, quickly overpowering their creators, imprisoning and forcing many to do labor themselves.
Gravity has vanished. Planets keep shrinking, leading to their certain destruction. In hopes of survival, humans across the universe create colonies on floating land or simply live in their spaceships. Fortunately, Rio Grande Corp. anticipated this disaster and created the Gravity Boots, empowering people to walk on any surface and almost live a normal life.
Rio Grande Corp's main mission is to make the universe a better space but for unknown reasons, they kidnap your roommate Gary. It could not have been worse for you because you can't afford the rent by yourself!
Embark on a journey to scout the galaxy alongside Newton, a cute furry friend, and get your roommate back!
This is a very fun little roguelite with a ton of replayability. It is similar to games such as risk of rain and synthetik in style.
Shrines, pets, and tons of fun items to collect each run make a return here.
There are so very few roguelites with online multiplayer support and this game although simple, is very fun. This game should have more players. For a game with a single dev it is very well executed.
The dev is very responsive to feedback. There are still some bugs mostly in multiplayer that can cause a crash atm. I recommend joining the discord and posting and issues or feedback there. Several times when we posted issues the dev responded immediately and within minutes had found the bug and fixed it and then uploaded an update to the game.
this was a whim buy. not really optimal for keyboard and mouse. game starts of with arrow keys to move and not working with aswd like most games. the cool downs for attacks feel too long i feel like im just using my basic attack most of the time. you do need to doge and block or you will get killed.
its alright for the price recommend getting on sale
## Cyber City Escape
Been looking for a shooter/action rogue-type game recently & this one had a cool promo video, so I decided to give it a shot. So far, there are some kinks to work out but it's a pretty fun game. I'm not sure how many levels there will be when all's said and done, but the difficulty definitely increases with each level…just ran into the turrets I saw from the promo video on my latest run & they got me good. You can shoot em & shut them down for a bit though. There is also AI respawning which can make things more challenging but also good for the credits.
Good game but you need to improve the UI and fix the game for different aspect ratios, mine is 16:10 and I have to play in windowed mode
