***Before beginning, I would like to give a special thanks to my brother, Cold Dingo [33rd], for proofing this lengthy review so early in the morning when I am certain he would have preferred sleep. Your selflessness was not overlooked.
Creatio Ex Nihilo: Aition-literally translated from Latin as, “creation from nothing: cause”-is a turn-based strategy roleplaying title depicting the inception of the universe from a being known as Uros. As an avid fanatic of Dungeons & Dragons, this title struck my interest considering much of the former lore from the tabletop game stemmed from Greek mythology as does CEN:A. Even though the concept of this project is intriguing, the execution does appear to lack polish.

Cardnarok: Raid with Gods
Been looking around for some indie games and found this little gem. I love the theme and ideas behind this game especially with the choices of heroes from mythologies of all backgrounds.
The combat definitely requires strategical thinking, planning and careful calculation in order to level up fast and build decks that work with your team. At current state it’s quite playable and no bug that bricks the game experience.
The developers have been patching updates aggressively and that is a good sign.

Interesting take on the genre
The core loop is:
-
a string of StS-like maps
-
connected by a monopoly/Game of the Goose-inspired overworld
-
coupled with Rogue-lite Metaprogression
The combat is pretty standard with the caveat of 3 characters (with somewhat varying abilities) in “tag-team”
The Deckbuilding part follow the newer trend and allow the player a high degree of control over the resulting deck
Overall the game could use more polish and some extra content, but it’s a solid buy if you’re a bored deckbuilder.

Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins
«Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins» — is a party based RPG-platformer with hand-drawn 2D graphics. The game takes place in the ancient world, based on the Sumer-Akkadian, Egyptian and ancient Slavic mythology. This world is filled with rival city-states, ancient pagan deities, gloomy dungeons and bizarre monsters. There are no humans in the game. Instead of them characters are represented by various types of anthropomorphic animals (furry).
PLAY FOR THE LIONESSY - THE DEFENDER OF URUK
The main lionessy-character, a citizen of a captured ancient city Uruk, will have to free people of Uruk from slavery. She also will have to save her lover from the tenacious clutches of the underworld goddess Ereshkigal, who is at eternal enmity with her sister, the goddess of fertility Ishtar. Along the way, lionessy will visit neighboring cities, explore the adjacent territories and complete (or not) many smaller quests.
«Paws on the Sand: Lionessy Sins» complements the mechanics of the 2D-slasher with a unique combat system for a game party of four characters. The game combines 2D-platformer gameplay with the rich features of a party RPG, such as enchanting items, improving skills / classes, distributing roles in a game party, and of course dark magic.
-
A unique combat system for a party of four characters, managed simultaneously as a whole.
-

TITANKIN: Prologue
Great game with a fantastic story. Loved the combat and animations.
The game was a bit harder than I expected at the beginning, but once I understood the mechanics and planned things a bit more strategically it became a fun challenge.
Can’t wait to see what FerfWorks comes up with in the future!!

Titankin: Prologue is extremely charming. The characters are all really fun and pleasant to spend time with. If you love classic JRPGs, awesome pixel art, and loveable characters you will love this game.
Something most JRPG fans will also appreciate is the level of challenge. It manages to be tough without being frustratingly difficult. You’re going to need to make use of your items and manage your resources well, but the feeling of accomplishment is in line with classic JRPGs of the past, games which clearly inspire Titankin in its execution.

It’s an old game but still a great game, never gets bored of the gameplay and stories, bought the deluxe during the autumn sale 50% discount. The new HD graphic looks good, main characters and some mobs now have voice acting, also now we can choose skills we need when fusing demons which is convenient. It was a pain and time-consuming before on PS2 that we had to keep shuffling until we get at least some okay skills. Hey Atlus, I wish you guys add Persona 5 Royal on PC too, yearning for that game so badly since a lot of us are unable to get a console.

Operencia: The Stolen Sun
Operencia: The Stolen Sun
A beautiful dungeon crawler which requires regular inventory and character attribute changes to succeed.
First Impressions🤔
The game looks and sounds wonderful with colourful backgrounds and a haunting melody playing throughout. Voice acting ranges from okay to excellent and special effect noises are loud, brash and attention seeking. It all culminates into quite an exciting experience.
Perseverance is needed as some battles almost appear impossible at first but you’ll need to think about your enemy’s strengths and weaknesses and tailor your team to win. Your party is customizable throughout the game and the line up can be changed also. You’ll be able to equip different items, potions, special skills and reassign your skill tree and attribute points. I spent quite a lot of time configuring characters to try and beat bosses. Some boss battles took me numerous attempts to win. It feels very rewarding to finally beat an opponent.

“Alas, some buried treasure!”
This game starts off in promising fashion with a well put together tutorial that has you playing a party of highly experienced characters through a short adventure so you can get a bit of background to the game and familiarise yourself with the controls and gameplay. You then roll up your own character, choosing from either warrior, hunter or mage classes, and after a short intro, find yourself exploring a mythical sunken castle. You find your first companion quite early in the game and at this point, the game is quite enjoyable. The Hungarian lore of the game is interesting and refreshingly different, combat is well balanced, the level design and hand drawn cut scenes are nice and colourful and wonderful to look at, and the game looks like a well polished product. However, by the time you reach the third main area in the game (the Deva Fortress), the difficulty seems to take a tremendous spike with some ridiculously tough opponents, and you then start really noticing how bad this game’s combat mechanics are. I tried two playthroughs, firstly as a warrior and then as a mage. The mage I found could do better AOE damage but was flimsier than a wet paper bag. Regardless, I gave up with both at the Deva Fortress as the combat was just getting too frustrating.

The Deed of Deception
The Deed of Deception starts as a 4-player cooperative puzzle game. Working together to find the deed and inherit your fortune. Once the deed is discovered the players realize that there is no inheritance to be had. There is something in this manor. Something ancient, something…evil. The player who finds the deed becomes possessed. Given special abilities and powers with the singular mission of trapping their friends and stealing their souls to fuel the evil in this place. The gameplay changes based on the type of possession the manor decides to use. Each variation offers different abilities. Sometimes using the element of deception to trick or brute strength to overpower. The souls of those who have been trapped try to help any way they can. Maybe giving items, or hints. Anything they can to help those escape where they failed.
Fire and Brimstone
The possessed is given the power to wield ethereal flame. The flames consume the manor slowly creeping from room to room as he lays traps for the panicked players to step in and succumb to the flame while they search for the ingredients to the potion to extinguish the flame with the help of the spirits in the manor.
The Grog
An ancient pet of Beelzebub himself inhabits the body of the possessed. The grog can freeze the players in fear. Unable to move. The only thing that can stop the grog is holy light and the players must find all of the broken pieces of the holy lantern before the grog freezes everyone.
_The Manor is calling for you, will you answer? Uncle Barnabas sadly met his maker. Before he left this plane, he designed several puzzles and challenges to test his relatives and find a fit heir to take possession of his fortune. Finding the deed within the house will be the answer to your players. Strangely you don’t remember your uncle. At least not until this strange butler came to tell you of his last will and testament. But you go because, why not? The promise of riches is far too tempting to let go…
The deed is more than paper and ink. It is something ancient. Something …. Evil. Promising possession of unimaginable riches but the possession is not of things. IT, this place, possesses you. Manifesting the evil within these walls into the poor soul who stumbles upon and awakens it. This manor means to unleash the evils from other dimensions into our world. They need the life force of you and your friends to open their gate. They have almost completed their work and you are all that stand in the way of this unimaginable plan. Can you stop them?_
-15+ variations of possessions for an endless playthrough
-
Randomized room generation. The manor will be a new layout each time you play
-
Character specific stats making your character selection an important strategic aspect
-

The Dragons' Twilight II
I can’t tell you how much I enjoyed Dragons' Twilight II [DT2], but you know…here goes:
Be sure to play DT1 before starting DT2. The story is wonderful and very important to know so you’ll better understand the DT2 continuation. I was a bit disappointed with the DT2 storyline at first. It is not as dragon-involved and doesn’t have quite the heart that DT1 had. But after getting into the game further a bit, I became enthralled with how the weapons, armor, and magic tomes could be enhanced or rearranged.

I can highly recommend this game. The developer has used clever changes in plot to make the story continually interesting. Just when you think things are getting predictable you are thrown a curve. The variety of music is excellent and the background scenes in battle and in travel mode are carefully done. Gameplay is interesting and fun. If you get stuck the developer is right there to help with advice. A great addition to the library of any old school rpg fan.
