Costume Kingdom
I wanted to wait to post a review until I had completely beaten the game- (All of the achievements, that is. Though there is one side-quest I haven’t finished yet). Overall, I really enjoyed the game! I liked the stylized cartoony visuals and the fun Halloween aesthetic! The different Hallowmon were unique looking, and interesting. The open-world is large enough to make it interesting to explore, and the side-quests were also fun. The story being told is intriguing as well, and I of course won’t spoil anything in this review. The extra things you can get by collecting candy is nice too, such as unique trails, and a really cool retro-effect. I’ve had a ton of fun with this game, and I believe that I will continue to enjoy it! I also cannot wait to see what Stratton Studios creates next!

Neptunia Virtual Stars
Worse than Super Neptunia!
Do you like Neptunia games because…
They’re cute…
They’re funny…
and because they’re video games about video games, where the main characters are video game consoles in the form of anime girls…
and they have some light fan service here and there…
Well prepare to be disappointed on every front.
While the graphics are better in this one, the girls aren’t as cute. If you don’t believe me, just compare the images in the store page for this one and rebirth 1. I’m sure most will agree.

In short: easy, boring, not worth your time. Just play VII again.
Not worth the trouble of going through six cutscenes (no, that’s not an exaggeration) to shoot at things for two small areas before entering ANOTHER set of cutscenes.
The game is pathetically easy. Just cleared the fourth (I think?) story boss. My strategy: hold the lock-on button (which doesn’t actually lock-on), hold the fire button, and hold left to strafe. That’s literally it. No thought is required to defeat bosses. Abilities are pointless. The special moves (think EXE Drives of the previous games – I can’t even remember what they’re called in this game) don’t seem to do nearly as much damage as you’d think they should. And, despite the fact that you can quickly use EIGHT CHARACTERS, there’s never really a reason to switch off of Neptune. Her gun makes the most sense being an assault rifle. Anything else is just time wasted learning how that character plays when you can just strafe + fire with Nep.

Pretty fun game. Nice coop option. There are a few bugs like not being able to pick up items if you miss them, but overall a fun quick game.

HTD
This game offers a unique, almost puzzle-like aspect of combat that is simple yet effective. There is a very steep learning curve, but once you have crested that hill, the game becomes incredibly addictive and rewarding. While the combat itself is very simple, the bosses present new and unique challenges such that no two fights will play out the same; each one requires you to adapt. While the replay value may be limited, there are plenty of secrets and extras to be found. Overall, this game is incredibly difficult yet incredibly rewarding, so if those games are up your alley like myself, you will greatly enjoy this game.

Good game, replay value is a bit meh
The game offers some interesting gameplay: standard rpg team but in a fast paced boss fight format. I have played this game for 4 hours, and i enjoyed all of it. However the game doesn’t have much more to offer me i believe. As of writing this i have beaten 14 bosses, with 2 unlocked after the big bad guy. I don’t know where the presumably last boss is as i can’t reread the story. So now i have to replay the game again.
Is it a fun game? Yes. Is it worth the 10 Euro’s i spend on? maybe.

Guilty Guardians
Guilty Guardians is a modern dungeon crawler RPG in the pixel-art style of games of the 90s. You control a group of mercenaries who are ready for money to go in search of ancient artifacts in creepy dungeons, closed laboratories, ice stations and other dangerous places of the split worlds of the United Universe.
History
The world was plunged into chaos when the huge mechanical robot Guardian created to protect the United Universe and endowed with magical abilities was broken due to a mistake by a group of mechanics carrying out his regular repairs. Evil sensed the moment when the Guardian was disabled and rushed to attack each of the existing worlds. A huge group of demons attacked the Guardian’s repair base, exterminated all its personnel, dismantled the disabled Guardian and stole important parts of him. Now, to return the world to the United Universe, you need to find these parts, restore the Guardian and activate him again. For this the campaign to attract volunteers willing to risk their lives for the future of the entire United Universe was organized on the planet Promethium-VI.
Features
-
explore different worlds of the United Universe to find important artifacts which are necessary for the restoration of the Guardian
-
solve riddles and look for secret passages in the dungeons — pay attention even to the cracks on the walls
-
control, develop and take care of volunteers — if they die, you will have to look for new ones (well, almost)
-
improve your weapons and armor — the cooler they are, the longer you will live
-
move around grid-based locations — just like in the good old days!
-
create your own scenarios with your own worlds and share them with other players — all this is available in a very simple in-game editor
Right to Rule
Right to Rule is a game where you compete against other players by doing quests, killing monsters and gaining “Right to Rule” points, all with the goal of becoming the ruler of Drakenheim. The game is played in matches with a new victor each time, based on your progress in your game will determine your reward which will carry over via your profile. There will be many options for persistent profile progress for players to unlock, like cosmetics, emotes, even a fully customizable castle the player can decorate with things unlocked by playing.
You have many different options when it comes to taking over the vast kingdom. Pick one that fits your playstyle or try new approaches each time.
-
Fight your way to the throne using any or all combat styles including Melee, Magic, Ranged and Bard
-
Work your way up the political ladder by persuading, manipulating and bribing your way to the top
-
Gain an edge over other players by leveling up non-combat skills such as mining, enchanting, smithing, cooking amongst others.
-
Use these skills to complete a large variety of quests given by the people of Drakenheim.
-
Search all around the Island for hidden or secret areas where you can find special loot such as weapons, armor, spells, and quests.
-
Each game will be unique as quests and activities are randomly selected to be a part of each playthrough.
-
Pick a fight with tough bosses of many different types to win high amounts of Right to Rule and other unique rewards.
-
All players can attack each other at anytime, however that doesn’t mean you always should…
The city of Drakenheim has a handful of guards who will arrest you if you commit violence or, any crime for that matter, against anyone within the city walls. When you get arrested by the guards, you will be jailed and you’ll need to wait out your sentence, missing out on the experience and Right To Rule points you could’ve gotten in that time. When you die, you will need to wait to respawn. The higher your level – the longer the respawn time, so be careful.
You can embark on a quest, which will reward you with possibly special items, Right To Rule points, exclusive access to a previously unreachable area and any other advantage over your rivals. As previously mentioned, every match the available quests will be randomized, so you’ll always have a different playthrough each time.
Each match should last up to an hour, with you competing against multiple players, everyone on their own, each trying to become the ruler before you do. The player who becomes the ruler of The Kingdom of Drakenheim, wins the game.
When you win, you will get various unlocks for cosmetics and rewards according to what you have done in that match.
