Guinea Pig Parkour

Guinea Pig Parkour

Guinea Pig Parkour is a completely hand-drawn 2D platformer with adventure elements, drawing heavy inspiration from ’90s animated cartoons and games. It is animated and developed completely by one artist, Jeff Mumm, and features music and SFX by Fat Bard.

Run, jump, swing, flip, vault, climb, crawl, and parkour through classic platformer inspired levels. Talk to, interact with, help, and annoy a host of funny characters as you progress through a “lost ’90s cartoon episode.”

Each animation in Guinea Pig Parkour is completely hand-drawn, frame-by-frame at 24 frames per second - every single frame a different drawing - to capture the full, fluid quality of traditional animation.

City of Rampage

City of Rampage

City of Rampage is a side-scrolling beat’em up game inspired by such SEGA Classics as “Streets of Rage” and “Comix Zone”, with advanced fighting mechanics, with challenging tough enemies and even tougher bosses.

This journey won’t be easy, but beautiful hand drawn visuals and dope soundtracks will make sure you will be coming back for more.

See you in City of Rampage!

DNA Farm

DNA Farm

Very interesting game, the description says it all, clearly…but it runs well and feels fun! I keep saying it in these reviews, but I mean it…the price is a little too steep..this could be fun for a lot of people but…if they won’t spend 11 bucks, maybe the won’t see how good it is, anyways..just my thoughts. Not a bad game at all!

They Always Run

They Always Run

They Always run is quite the fun action side scroller game. Both the visuals and music are quite stunning. Controls are tight and it is easy to move and fight throughout the levels. Combat can and does keep you on your toes, but it is not what I’d call overly challenging. The only criticism that I can come up with at the moment is the lack of voice overs. In my opinion this game needs voice overs to help with the immersion. I don’t know why but I can imagine Simon Templeman (voice of Kain from Blood Omen) being a fitting voice for the protagonist Aidan. But who knows, maybe they’ll add voice overs in future patch/ updates.

They Always… Hmmm?

Legend:

+++ Bullseye!

++- Neat!

+– Mmmm … okay!

— Yikes!

+-+ Mix Bag (Sometimes is ok Sometimes is not)

+- Not a Big Deal. (Neutral)

HIT & MISSES:

+++ Art style is spectacular! One of the main reasons I bought the game!

++- Characters and World Building stories are pretty good. Although some of the dialogues can be cheesy.

++- Presentation of story ideas can be better. Currently some of the story elements can be a little sloppy but nothing narration breaking.

CUBE-e

CUBE-e

Lucky me gets to write the first review for CUBE-e, which is a 2D retro pixel puzzle “platformer” from known asset flippers, Piece of Voxel. This is a basic retro pixel puzzle game with a gravity inversion gimmick as you guide a robot through a space station factory thing and solve puzzles like how to put a crate on a switch, ho hum, it’s been done to death.

They chose to use obsolete retro pixel “art” as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It’s unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result. Resolution and controls are locked. These flaws push this game far below minimum acceptable standards for PC. There’s also an insulting $10 USD price tag for this garbage. Yeah, $10, the same money that would get you one of hundreds of AAA games on sale. Or this trash.

Super Fancy Pants Adventure

Super Fancy Pants Adventure

If you’re a long-time veteran fan of the Fancy Pants series, I give to you one single piece of advice:

Go play World 3.

Super Fancy Pants Adventure, while still a fun time, is very much lacking when compared to the game’s predecessor. The game is extremely short, and can be finished in under two hours, so, yes, you can refund this game as soon as you finish it unless you’re incredibly slow. The only reason I didn’t is because the developer, Brad Borne, is a nice dude, and I respect his work greatly.

EDIT: this game is pretty good i was too harsh on it. anyway here’s the old review i made

I loved the original Fancy Pants titles… but this one was kind of disappointing.

I’m about a year late reviewing this. Anyway, everyone’s played Fancy Pants. It was a great time killer when I was a little kid.

But I’m not a little kid anymore so I’m gonna tell you why I thought this game was lackluster instead of blindly praising it.

In case you don’t know, this is Fancy Pants world 4, while the previous game was Fancy Pants world 3. I’m gonna explain what made world 3 great.

HUMBLE ZOMBIE

HUMBLE ZOMBIE

Game crashes a lot, but still fun for $2 especially with friends.. Basically a low budget version Ben and Ed, but still enjoyable.

Decent, when it does not crash. Not worth 2.30 $ in that state.

Good potential thought.

Ninja: Rise of a Hero

Ninja: Rise of a Hero

My love! I miss you so much! The sneaky Dracula kidnapped you on the eve of our wedding… All my life I’ve trained for this moment! And was not ready for it…

I can endure any pain and take any blows without moaning!

I can imitate the sounds of any animals and birds!

I cleverly climb trees and swim in the water like a fish!

I am impeccable in Ninjato and the art of throwing shuriken!

I can see perfectly in the dark!

And I could not see the enemy in the daylight…
