Black Sun

Black Sun

In this game, you fly a space ship through an open world. Your sidekick is an AI assistant who understands your text-written commands and helps you to steer the ship, survive heavy space combat or to find the next gas station.

"Space is a terrible place. The kidnapping of my brother and the Captain’s death didn’t make it easier. Thank god, there is Hopper."

You play Eli, a young man stranded on the antique star freighter Lucky Beggar. You don’t like space yet here you are.

Features

  • Text freely in natural language with your AI assistant Hopper: let her fly the ship, get her help during combat or ask for a market analysis to maximise your trading profit. She knows a lot - including terrible space jokes.

  • A large 2D open-world universe containing numerous solar systems, space stations and ships to discover. Large means astronomical and impossible-to-fly-through. Be grateful if the jump engine works properly.

  • Find your kidnapped brother while making interstellar friends and enemies. An over 5-hours long cinematic storyline is waiting for you!

  • Enjoy epic space battles with hundreds of ships.

  • You decide how you pay the bills for fuel and supplies: be a smart trader, solve rewarding quests or take missions from shady people in the space pub.

  • Your ship is a temple. Repair it, get upgrades and don’t fly it into asteroid fields. Those dents stay.

  • Put on the headphones, fasten your seat belt and relax: one hour of orchestral soundtrack - originally composed just for this game!

  • Modding encouraged! Most of the game’s content is freely changeable by using a beginner-friendly script language and images. Add your own quests, ships or places. Teach new commands to the AI assistant.

American Fugitive

American Fugitive

I remember before picking up American Fugitive that all it took was a mention of the development team being “ex-Timesplitters” to sell me on a first week buy. As a huge fan of that series, even if the the new game’s genre was a Casino simulator, I’d probably give it a chance. A few small touches of TS' supremely fun aesthetics might be lurking somewhere in the graphics or writing of this game but mostly none of Splitters' infectious humor or silly rebel spirit are found in any one location that I can accurately point out. What we are left with is an updated take on the early GTA games that unleashes its loaded magazine on farm country Americana. Is it any good? Eh, I had a lot of fun but don’t expect a perfect experience. It’s all about what you’re looking for when it comes to your enjoyment or hatred of American Fugitive.

Man this game, It’s the weirdest game. Addictive yet mediocre. Enough to be entertained, but mundane and repetitive. Good enough to hook you but story is disappointing overall. This game is like the movie “The Room” constantly dancing the line between funny and just sad. TL;DR: 5.5/10

Some SPOILERS!!!

Pros:

-Douche characters that are never redeemed. Refreshing in that GTA or Game of Thrones way that almost no character is secretly trying to do the right thing, or has a change of heart.

  • Choices. The choices in this game are pretty cool cause they can be so hilariously dry (and realistic to a degree). At one point one character asks you to go buy them donuts. You can just say “Hell no!” and they respond “ok” and then they wont give you missions for like an hour of gameplay. Or your wife shows up 2 thirds in the game (after leaving you) and she begs you to give up. You can answer with something like “F U!” and she disappears forever, never to be heard of again. These moments are utterly hilarious. But the choices are pretty intuitive and that’s cool.

The Doors of Trithius

The Doors of Trithius

the game is in early access. the first world with ~10 dungeons is available. i played threw the game 3 times with different builds and there is a lot to do, to learn and to manage. the first dungeons are already a challenge for new players but its managable. the dev added a save option for now so we can save at any time we want. later the save feature will be reworked to make it bit more challenging. the learning curve in the game feeels very good. the last dungeons are very hard but also managable. for the last dungeons you kinda have to know all mechanics. in the first dungeons you just can hit them with the normal attack and you will be fine. medium dungeons you need to be familiar with the skills and good position. end dungeons you also need to know how medicine and food works. none of these mechanics are to hard to learn. its very intuditive.

Real player with 203.0 hrs in game

The Doors of Trithius is a procedurally-generated roguelike that never plays out the same twice. There are no bonuses maintained across lives; the only benefit you keep with you is your knowledge of the world, its skills, traps, enemies, and items. It’s designed to be challenging, and in my view it does that very well. Plan and prepare well, and you might just survive long enough to find out what secrets are hidden within Moreld’s Tower!

I’ve been lucky enough to have been a beta tester for DoT for the past few months. Over the course of this time, I’ve watched the game grow continuously, from new enemies to entire enemy factions, new weapons and skills to towns and biomes. I know a little of some of the changes that are still coming, but I’m even more excited about the larger systems and world-building that are being kept secret until we’re able to discover them in-game!

No Walking During a Zombie Apocalypse!

Absolutely not a carmageddon game or any of vanilla gta series games, but feels and looks like it. Might have been inspired by those games, but completely different.

So if you’re fond of driving and not fond of zombies - you’re welcome. Here’s how it feels: you drive all around a big city full of zambies, destructibles and turns. Zambies want to eat your brains,

Mr. Torgue Mode on.

but don’t worry, they won’t get any. (BWA-HA-HA!) Be fast and furious! Feel the need for speed! Have fun all over your wheels and hood. EXPLOOOOOOSIONS! and gunfire! This will be brutal! As brutal as if having a handful of French fries, putting it into a hige bowl of ketchup and smash it all over your own face. BRUTAL AF! So fasten your sealbelts and put the pedal to the metal!
