TL;DR:
Better in almost every way compared to the first DreadOut, massive improvement overall (graphics, character design, story, gameplay fluidity, etc). We’re seeing a side of Linda that’s never shown before in addition to a new melee gameplay mechanic, which makes the game feel fresh. Overall a huge step up from the first game. One thing I’d like to see improved is the storytelling, it’s still quite confusing especially towards the end. The major bugs are mostly patched as of version 1.1.0.

Saya agak malas bikin review game ini dikarenakan kekecewaan saya terhadap game “DreadOut” yang pertama. Itu adalah game yang pertama kali membuka mata saya terhadap lingkungan game developer asal Indonesia, dan juga demo game tersebut yang membuat sensasi internet di YouTube sangat mencuri perhatian hampir semua gamer horror di dunia pada zaman tersebut, termasuk saya.
Jujur saja, dengan demo yang bagus banget beserta popularitas yang banyak ketika DreadOut sedang dalam tahap development, saya sampai berkekspektasi besar terhadap game itu. Saya waktu itu membayangkan sebuah game horror dengan mekanisme game Jepang “Fatal Frame” yang saya mainkan di PlayStation 2, yang bahkan memiliki kualitas sekelas game triple-A tersebut. Saya membayangkan backstory desa misterius yang tersusun rapi dan bisa bikin penasaran. Saya membayangkan senjata kamera yang bisa di-upgrade. Saya membayangkan kita bisa melakukan eksplorasi dan menjelajahi desa yang angker tersebut sehingga ada elemen open-world. Saya membayangkan…. Pokoknya saya membayangkan yang bagus-bagus.

The environments are quite pretty at times and I often find myself stopping to take in the scenery.

The day/night cycle is good. Seeing sunrays filter through the trees after a tense night of sneaking around in the dark feels good man.

A reasonably enjoyable main questline.

A good assortment of weapons and melee weapon modifications.

The ambient audio seems well done, e.g. floorboards creaking/hearing your character panting during a stressful encounter all helps to build tension.

So many bad reviews for a day 1 alpha release. Give them at least 24 hours to work out the first wave of kinks before bringing the hammer down.

The game so far is creepy, fun with friends, challenging, has an interesting and fresh story, and is inviting to explore. The world that I have seen so far is detailed and full of points of interest. This game already runs better than some ea titles that have been out for ages, the combat is basic but works, and the multiplayer worked without a hitch.

Alright, I finished the game the other day, and my overall impression just kept getting better as the game progressed. I think it was of the more interesting and fun games I’ve played in a while. It’s also one of the few early access titles I’ve bought where you can see a clear line of game improvement progression as far as the development goes. From the early alpha to now, the improvements were consistent and did take into consideration the playing experiences of the early adopters..

This game is a really good example of why the early acess program on steam is a good idea.
When you start to play the game you are given no guidance and just wake up on a beach (thank’s to a shipwreck) and set of forward not knowing what you will face around the next corner,then all of a sudden “WHOOSH” an arrow fly’s past your head and then the intrigue and mystery start’s to kick in.
Keep on going and you come to the fort (now to say any more will spoil not only A-your enjoyment but B-all the mystery that await’s you)

Resource Management - You’ll manage your core resources and will decide what to take with you or what to leave behind. Every decision in that regard will open another option for you but close the other one.

Develop Your Play Style - There’s more than one way to play the game. You can go fast and quick, or slow and steady. You can mix aggressiveness with stealth or trap your enemies with intricate tactics. As you progress in the game, you’ll develop your style and that will be unique to you.
Waifu vs Evil
So I played it for over an hour and a half, and beat it. Let me detail that experience:
Upon launching, the game menu messed up and I had to reboot it twice.
Once in the game, I was greeted by the game world. The game is an asset flip, the zombie SFX are ripped from Call of Duty. But there was a unique part that intrigued me. (Mind you, I didn’t read the description I just jumped into the game. But I saw something unique. UFO’s flying overhead. I thought it was really cool. They’re all the same UFO model copy pasted though :/ But it was a nice aesthetic. The gameplay is a bogged down survival horror. The weapons are a pistol, and an axe. You have to heal, but medpacks and food sources are plenty abundant.

COUPLE THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND WHEN PLAYING THIS GAME!
the game feels like slender man the 8 pages, but with 10 pics of hentai.
you’re dropped into an open area and given a lot of time to explore with no time-limit.Make sure you don’t click escape to pause the game, it will crash and close the game entirely. Be careful of the zombies since they tend to hit you unexpectedly and there is no damage taken noise. if there is a noise, its muffled under the lovely black ops 2 zombie screaming noises.
if you want to scroll through your inventory then you need to click tab and use the arrow keys to navigate to where you want. Click enter while in that menu to select what you wanna do. i think the game is rough around the edges but is fun for 30+ minutes. i do recommend making the game harder on yourself by attempting these challenges.
