Saints Row 2

Saints Row 2

This is still a great game even when put up current gen stuff. I love it because the voice acting is excellent and it captures the feel of classic GTA3 oh so well. Even though this port has a problem with periodic “random” crashes, it’s still worth playing. Also, you really, really should bother to install the Gentlemen of the Row mod; it is worth the trouble for the quality of life adjustments alone.

I wanted to play this because I loved Saints Row 3 & 4 and Gat out of Hell. I knew it would be different, and more like GTA than the others but I wanted to try it anyway. I’m glad I did. It’s now my second favorite in the series after #4. I am looking forward to playing it again when the “MEGA Patch” is eventually released.

Saints Row 2, man where do i start.. Its a really good game but id recommend something since this thing doesn’t have achievements: cheats, use them all the time and i recommend installing Gentlemen of the row to put modification of the game called ,,Ultor Rising'' where, you are the law and try to stop all the gangs, if your looking for something extra in the ultor rising mod, the nuclear power plant is the place of fun.

But yes Honest review of the base game without mods is a 9/10 for me.

Only issue was frame drops nothing else so yeah very good game.

So 320 hours of gameplay, met many super nice folks, visited all areas multiple times (Map is huge). Super stoked i gave this game a shot upon release!

Developers are really friendly and work really hard, updates have been frequent, sometimes daily depending on what theyre working on. Lots of exciting things to come in the future of Capsa, but need to give them time. Just 2 developers and the game hasn’t been out long at all. Lots has changed from the short amount of time it has been released.

So far I have spent like 32 hours in Capsa and not one minute was boring.

Even if the community is still small it is growing, but you can easily spend hours exploring by yourself.

I didn’t even visit all of the islands yet, but found a marvellous place for my home…just imagine a house directly on a beach with your own mooring to the right there is a romantic looking lighthouse and I can listen to my favorite music while dancing with a friend or simply gazing at the sunset!

When I feel like going somewhere else I can choose between a boat, a horse or a buggy to go wherever I please in this huge open world.

Dragon Age™ Inquisition

Dragon Age™ Inquisition

i played DA:origins as a teen and loved it, i was dissapointed when DA:2 came out so when inquisition was released i just avoided it and honestly forgot it existed until the recent sale where the GOFTY edition went on sale for $9.99 USD

I can say at that price it was an amazing bargin and if all this content was at release i would have said it was worth full price, but we know EA so that means it wasnt. So wait a few years and buy the complete game for cheap and you wont be upset.

the graphics are a little dated but not horrible, the dialog and movie style cutscenes are typical from Bioware and sometimes not great cough cough Dragon age 2, and some mass effects cough but they are pretty decent here and fully engaged me a couple times which doesnt happen often at my age.

I’ve played this for 178 hours. Obviously I love the game.

I definitely recommend being patient with the pacing of the game for the first chunk of it because the Hinterlands are just…a lot…but after that point the pace is a lot better and the story definitely held my attention. As always with Dragon Age games I love the humor and the characters (especially Varric who remains a permanent party member at all times.)

I do have to say that it’s definitely a good idea to grind out side quests in order to make sure you’re properly leveled up for each big story mission but the good thing about the side quests is that most of them are fairly fun and interesting and they aren’t all just the same fetch quest over and over again. And even when they are a “fetch quest” they’re at least not a complete copy of whatever other fetch quest you may have previously done.

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen

This game is one of the most memorable western fantasy games I’ve ever played. And that’s saying something because it’s from Japan. Of course the reason is because this game is a love letter to the late Kintaro Miura, one of the most epic western fantasy writers/illustrators if our modern day. If you are a fan of Berserk comic series (manga) you will see his aesthetic, style, atmosphere and tone in this game. It is stylistically beautiful and I love the authentic feel of how everyone in the world speaks. There is no break in immersion with an American accent lazily thrown in. And even it’s European accents have an older dialectical feel with the words they use like, “T’is, Aught, Meager, etc…” wich feels good.

So DDDA plays like a lot of other Capcom games in combat rolling etc, which in my book is a big plus. Feels gritty, meaningful, and downright satisfying.

The class system is fairly in depth with all 3 quintessential roles and hybrids of each, which each present rather unique challenges depending on the foe.

Whilst somewhat dated now, this game still holds it’s own and delivers a timeless and original story whilst promoting character progression, and the attaining of knowledge for the enemies you will face, because some of them hurt. A lot.

Yes. I would strongly recommend this game, even though there are things that could have been done better.

As I currently progressed into “mild” obsession with this game, if you like good story and RPG where you can actually see that each of your choices and action matters and are not deterred by my below listed issues I encountered, you should go for this one.

It will be quite long rant. But in overall this game left strong impression in me, and in overall, even though there are faults and space for improvement, it is positive impression. Therefore, I had to write proper review. Pity there is not CZ localisation for PS because I would already forced my brother to play this :D

I bought this game when it went on sale with the DLC included since a friend of mine recommended it. It did not disappoint and overall, I very much like the game. I’m still playing through it but there were a few things that threw me off while I was playing. WARNING: potential spoilers below.

[spoilers]

-Why your character hasn’t tried to learn the language: He/She is playing an important role for diplomatic relationships and yet she/he hasn’t done the most basic thing of learning the language of the tribes people.

Mini Racing World

Mini Racing World

_ Deutsche Version weiter unten _

It’s a fun little racing game.

Content

You have to play the 12 different Seasons in the open world chronologically. Each Season has 4 races/events, 3 of which must be successfully completed to unlock the next Season. There are different modes, like races, Minikhana events, duels and sprints. You can buy new cars, tune the cars and customize them. The open world has different areas and themes in which the Seasons take place.

Duration

In 4h I’ve played all 12 Seasons and Special Events as well as the Final Race (though I didn’t complete every Season and don’t own every car).

  • I really liked exploring the island and having random encounters where I have to make decisions.

  • The graphics are great, there are some things to be fixed yet, but this is an early access game!

  • The story is good and has you wanting to explore more and get to know the whole story.

What can be done better:

  • The walking feels a bit chunky, especially with the carts.

Right off the bat, the port is a bit of a mess, so here are a couple of tips:

  1. If the game outright doesn’t start, include the .exe (or the entire game folder) in your antivirus AND firewall exceptions.

  2. There is a “corrupted save” bug that has persisted since launch. Even if you’ve never played the game before, it will warn you of corrupted save data. Even if you deleted them, they will reappear on your next launch. Additionally, you can’t manually save or load, or the game will crash. The reason for this is that the game doesn’t play well with Steam Cloud. Disable Steam Cloud from the game’s Steam properties window, then go to “C:/Users/ username /AppData/Local/Sunset/Saves/ id " and delete “steam_autocloud.vdf”. This should fix the problem with both dummy corrupted save data and your own save data getting corrupted. It will also allow manual saving and loading. /id /username

I won’t recommend this game at all, I do admit it has a lot of potential, but in the state its in right now I won’t recommend it. \

  • You don’t get a tutorial on the controls and how they work.

  • The clothing are clipping

  • VERY limited character costumization options.

  • Alot of weird advertising about a “Special version” download which is nowhere to be found at all.

  • No character facial expressions, such as smile, shock, suprised or happy.

Real player with 0.8 hrs in game

I think there is a lot of potential for this game but how it stands right now, it is not very good. The character customization was bare bones and I had to back out of character customization and reenter just to get the menus to go away so i could hit continue. Once in the game, there was no prompt to let you know what button was used for interacting. I hit numerous buttons and clicked multiple times and still could not interact with anything. Until the game advances, worth the money.
