HELLDIVERS™ Dive Harder Edition
It’s as simple as the trailers. Virtually the better “Magicka” concept in execution. There was a lot of talk about… I really tried to make it short.
Now, if you’ve never played Magicka…
HELLDIVERS is a top down shooty bangbang game with emphasis on multiplayer cooperation, like Alien Swarm. But unlike Alien Swarm, it has much more depth and variation completely dependent on player preference, kinda like Magicka. What? My comparisons are awful? Fiiine.
In HELLDIVERS, you are a soldier fighting a grand war against three oppositions. In every mission, you and up to three others will be dropped in the middle of enemy territory. You are to complete as many objectives as you can or die trying. Upon completion and/or failure of every objectives, evacuation will be made available. After every three regular missions, you will have completed a planet, receive a greater reward, and also contributing to the overall war effort. zzz…

I don’t know if Arrowhead are geniuses or they got lucky with this one, I haven’t played their other games… but Helldivers is, in my opinion, a masterpiece.
It’s a game about situational awareness, quick thinking, and self control. It can be brutally unforgiving, but also allow you to pull a win out of the messiest of situations, which can be very satisfying. It’s fun when you’ve got a very tight squad flawlessly executing missions, and it’s fun when the shit hits the fan and everything starts going wrong. With full friendly fire, and tremendously powerful tools at their disposal, Helldivers can be their own worst enemies.

Much, much more to come!
A swarm of meteors has for millennia been chased through the galaxy by alien creatures, who have grown addicted to the consumption of energy dense crystals growing on every rock of the swarm. The consumption of energy from the crystals once gave the aliens wisdom and strength but have now corrupted and mutated the species and turned them into zombie-like creatures who will destroy anything in their path to obtain even a grain of the crystals.
The meteors are hurtling through space, and Earth is the next planet in its path. It’s destiny and that of all living things is seemingly decided.
What better to combat an invading alien species with than over-the-top weaponry? From Space has got plenty of it. Every weapon has been designed to be super-satisfying to play with, from the sounds they make to the visuals they show on the screen. Rocket launchers, miniguns, flamethrowers and many more …
Mowing down aliens is fun, but there’s more to it. Throughout the world you can discover perks that will change the behavior of your character and weapons. Turn yourself in the ultimate tank that takes the brunt of any attack while your buddies are set up to do maximum damage. You’ll need to find ways to combat increasingly more powerful aliens, and perks is the way to do this. No worries, no choice is permanent and all perks can be swapped between teammates.
While you’re under constant threat, there’s more you and your team needs to do to be successful. Prototype weaponry that harnesses the power of the energy crystals has been developed by the military using the shells of autonomous thermonuclear drones. The weapons aren’t fully developed however, and need to be charged and guided to their destination by the squad in order to inflict the most damage.
Help us out. Wishlist us now! From Space is a spiritual successor of our 2015 Action / Arcade game “It came from space and ate our brains ”.

ROGUE SHIFT
I’m having fun with this game, the why is a bit harder to describe.
But I think it boils down to having a good mixture of intense moment, fast gameplay (that’s sometimes a bit chaotic but still fair), a highscore board I’m trying to beat and enough variation in term’s of enemies, weapon’s, weapon upgrade’s, perk’s and psionics (special abilities) that the game remains interesting.
And when playing together (upto 4 player together) this get cranked to 11 (maybe even 12-13).
Having said all that, the game is still rough and in development, it could really do well with more content, even more perks, weapon upgrade’s some more weapons and a bit more map variety. But the developer is actively working on this and is listening to feedback and acting on idea’s, so I only imagine it will become even better with time, so I got high hopes for it.

Disclaimer: Im the artist for the game so possibly biased :P
However saying that this is loads of fun and only going to improve to version 1.
With hints of Crimsonland and Risk of rain and with multiple game modes and maps and more upcoming it can only get better. Its already a very fun polished experienced, and with now being in EA i honestly feel the user feedback will push the game even further with ideas that even we haven’t thought of. There is a very solid base of a game with lots of potential.

Renegade Ops
Top down game Like no other.
I would say that renegades ops is one of those games that come once in a very long while and go unoticed, I remember purchasing it with a bundle with other games and never played it, until one day I was really bored and starting checking the games that I havn’t played, and so I clicked on it and was ………. pretty impressed!.
with it’s cartoonish simple catchy story line to the amount of details and physics in the cars and combat, everything is well done and goes along together well.

Renegade Ops is a classic styled vehicle-based top-down twin-stick shooter, where we have to defeat enemies coming at us in overwhelming numbers through mission by mission, while successfully completing objectives, such as rescuing civilians or collecting certain items. Unlike its predecessors the game does a good job simulating 3D by using slopes and elevation differences. The game is a successor to the Jungle Strike games from 1993 to an extent that at some points we can even switch our vehicle to an attack helicopter. The game is enjoyable, but comes with some very annyoying bugs. It was part of a free SEGA bundle at some point (with both DLCs included, so I’m going to mention those as well).

Dual Core
First impressions, this a good fun game. It’s fairly simple to play, no complicated controls (I use mouse and keyboard, but I understand it’s designed for controllers). I’ve only played single player so far, but I’ll let the kids loose on this tommorow for some local coop and update review then. So far so good.

This is a really good, yet strangely unkown, twin stick shooter. And I honestly can’t see the reason why there is not much hype for this game. The graphics are well done handdrawn style with appealing effects layed all over it, the music is good and pumping and apart from very few ones missing here and there even the sound effects are quite good. The controls are perfectly responsible. There are only very few times when you get stuck on a corner and that’s nothing that can’t be flattened out by upgrading your robots speed so it can run and turn faster.

Nation Red
Nation Red is a top down Zombie Shooter. And a good one!
In several different Game Modes like Barricade (you need to hold a point, have some support from Sentry Guns or Soldiers) Survival (show them how long you can keep going) or the Classic endless mode. Every Game Mode offers you a different Challenge.
On top of that, there are tons of different power ups you can pick up, that will drop randomly from your enemies. While you’re playing you gain Experience and Level up, with every Level up, you get access to a wide Range of skills you can choose from, to optimize your Character in a way you want to play the level/game. Through that, the game offers a wide range of variations to try out and experiment with. The game also offers a variety of boss monsters you encounter randomly throughout your current play trough. Which all have their own strength and weaknesses. You can change the difficulty at any given time. As stronger as you make your enemies, the more experience you will get from them.

Definitely very good game, Top-Down it’s not maybe my prefered genre, but I really enjoyed this game. I have just done 100% achievements! It was fun :)
As achievement hunter I can recommend this game too, ‘cheevos were challenging and innovative (achievements in this game = ideas of people who play it - you can suggest in steam discussion), but nothing what you wouldn’t be able to do, especially when you have some hours behind you. I have finished all achievements in around ~50 hours, all without 3 cows, which means killing 500k, 750k & 1kk zombies and generally it was the most boring part of this game when I have finished everything else (killed ~330 000 when I was done with rest achievs.). Unfortunately Multiplayer will be dead till the end of this year, I had problems now with finding players, sometimes was lucky, mostly weekends evenings.

NoReload Heroes
Update 12/25/19: So, uh, I guess the multiplayer works now. Flamethrower minion freeze floor sound bug is still present though, so that sucks.
I bought this on sale for $0.99 on the Nintendo Switch. It is a great game, but you guys should have done a lot more polishing to make sure the Switch version was actually stable. The frame rate drops tremendously quite frequently and there are even game breaking bugs. There was one issue I had where I actually managed to dodge out of the map, and I had to restart the game all over again. There are also several bugs with the sound in the Switch version, such as the sound for the flamethrower minions (Freezing! floor) getting stuck on loop forever. This bug is also present in the PC version. Please fix the Switch version and make sure it is actually stable.

I love this game! Honestly one of the best top down shooters/ dungeon crawlers out there, I would 100% reccomend this game… If they fixed a few things, the game is a bit laggy for weak computers, so when I want to play on the go, I use my laptop, but i get 30 fps max on lowest settings, not the worst thing just one of the problems I’ve had, another problem is multiplayer, It just doesnt work? Whenever I click find game it pops up a window saying its searching for a game, then just puts me in an offline game, Doesn’t really bother me, Just i feel this game would be alot easier with 4 players (Which you could do with an offline game if you had enough people and controllers.) than with 1 player, Other than that its a fun game, puts you up to a ever-increasingly difficult challenge, Except the flamethrower ballbot, He is just OVERPOWERED and will kill your winning streak in less than a second if you get trapped. But all that aside, I will keep playing this game, and I support the endevour in this game.

Trident’s Wake
Wonderful cooperative action game, I have had many hours of fun frying aliens with friends, customizing my sentinels, unlocking special abilities and improving my weapons.
The game is in early access and I assumed that it could have many bugs, but after play it on a friend’s PC, I saw that it is perfectly playable and I loved it. I bought it last week and I have played around 30 hours (be careful guys, it’s really powerful).
The sounds of the shots are wonderfully well done and the lighting is well enough adapted to generate some suspense and mystery but allowing fluid combats.

I’m recommending this game because on the base level, the game is playable and easy to pick up and play, however the game has been left in a bit of a broken state and is no longer supported by the dev team according to their discord , so any glitches, bugs or texture issues you may come across while playing the game may not be fixed or patched in the future.
That said, the game is a simple twin-stick shooter where you play as a Robotic soldier called a “Sentinel” tasked with clearing out the “Trident”, a type of “ark” that holds human embryos and Humanity’s last hope for survival amidst an alien invasion. you can play solo or with a group of 4 to fight through and take back control of 4 different sectors on the ship before moving on to the final “Strike Back” phase where you activate the Trident’s defense turrets and fight off the alien attackers.

Undercrewed
J+M+J
It’s fun, though the bots are well… still bots, but that’s to be expected, at least they aren’t bad, they just aren’t to terribly great either. (They’ll do stuff like get stuck in a room, or pilot your about-dead-ship into mines that could have very easily been avoided or destroyed… but they’re pretty good in general with the rest of their duties)
I’d really like to see more missions go into this game, but as to the ones that are up they are fun (though, they could do with a bit more variation… especially exploritory-wise, as traveling through space doesn’t seem to terribly interesting, but I’m not sure how you’d add more variety to that, besides maybe having a map where you have to carefully pilot around obstacles, or maybe pilot your way into a hanger/base of some sort).

I’ve had a blast playing this with my friends. I backed the kickstarter so I’m excited this is out. Currently there’s a good amount of released missions for a few hours of gameplay, but since it’s possible to highly customize your ship it’s still very fun replaying those same missions, usually with a different crowd. Since you can play the multiplayer locally and the game is very easy to get in to it works well as a party game.
In early access there are still a few bugs, but for the most part the game is bug free.
