Cellyon: Boss Confrontation

Cellyon: Boss Confrontation

This game has a really cool concept and is very promising for the future, the skill cap seems to be very high and even though it is still the beginning, there is already a lot of content that will challenge you for hours.

It is in early development phase so there are some bugs and a lot of things can be improved but it is really promising and might offer to MMO lovers a real challenge through a lot of different encounters !

I reccommend it !

I never was a fan of this kind of game because of the farming part.

So this was a very good ocation to start since there is no farming part in this game.

I reccomand it for all who want to try MMO/boss fight who can’t spend 20 hours farming before any fun.

Airmen

Airmen

This is definitely one of my favorite games. It has elements comparable to Robocraft, Scrap Mechanic, Avorion, From the Depths, Besiege, Space Engineers, and other similar games, as well as World Adrift, Guns of Icarus, and Elite Dangerous, with a bit of Escape from Tarkov mixed in. You build a vehicle in a hangar and take that vehicle out into an open world, where you can gather resources and encounter other players before extracting your ship and returning to your hangar to fine-tune a design, or unlock research to facilitate different designs.

Airmen

It took me quite some time to find a new online game which included what I was looking for, with Airmen I have finally found it. The game is set in a steampunk setting and consists mainly of two game modes: building ships and using them in an open world. Neither mode is obligatory, as you can also use pre-build ships or play single-player, however I think the combination of building your own ships and using them is what makes this game so enjoyable.

The Archipelago

One important aspect which I was looking for in a game (and which was somewhat difficult to find), is that it is an online game that has some challenges, but is not just about fighting. Instead here you have a variety of missions and quests you can pursue, including delivery, harvest and rescue missions, which often don’t require you to fire a single shot, even in the open world. You do also have the choice of hunt, capture or siege missions, which task you with defeating a certain enemy. Being an open world, you can also encounter other players with hostile intentions, the majority of the player base is friendly though. Apart from flying your own vessel, you can also join another captain on theirs, which is recommended especially for beginners.

Guns of Icarus Online

Guns of Icarus Online

My rating of this game speaks for itself when you look at my credentials and see that I have laid down 3000+ hours in to this title. That said though there is a lot this game has to offer if you are considering obtaining this title. Bearing this review in mind I have since become apart of the development team as an intern at the time of writing this, I speak first and foremost as a player with personal opinions about this particular title.

All that said, this game is a steampunk style game, and with it teamwork and strategy is the biggest names of the game here. Communication and coordination with crews as well as allied ships on how each team engages one another is paramount to victory or defeat. Most matches usually run for about a good 15 minutes and are packed with the anticipation of engagements, counter-engagements and various methods for obtaining each map’s goals.

Real player with 6070.2 hrs in game

TLDR at bottom.

-Do you enjoy intricate team based gameplay, where you need to trust in the skill of your allies?

-Do you enjoy relatively easy mechanics that are tough to master?

-Do you fancy yourself a leader, that likes to communicate and see his orders carried out by real people?

-Do you love a game with a close tight community, where people follow the rules and everyone is willing to teach you?

If you said yes to any of these Guns of Icarus has a place for you.

-Do you not like having non transparent game mechanics? ( engines below 50% im looking at you )

Tower Wars

Tower Wars

In short: This is an AWESOME multiplayer tower defense game, but not too many people play it, so you should convince your friends to get it. You need a few hours to master all the mechanics, but then it’s great entertainment.

You and your opponent both have castles and barracks, and you need to send waves to destroy each other, while simultaneously upgrading your units and castles as well as tending to your gold mines. Gold is mainly needed for recruiting units, and as long as they are within enemy territory, they earn “battle points” for you, which you need for upgrades. This makes for some challenging gameplay, as you need gold to earn battle points, but also battle points to get upgrades to earn more gold, …

Do Not Buy!!!!!! Dev went bank rupt, no more company, no more updates, so game freezes and hard locks often. It’s a great game, I’m sad. Keeping the thumbs up because it was awesome and I’m very sad for this. Only thing it needs is some updates to work with new drivers and such. Still playable, but your experience will suffer. Sad day for a great game.

Tower Wars,

It’s not your average tower defence game. Sure it has a survival mode to play it that way but that’s not the sole action of this game. It’s a tower defender and attacker! That’s right you have to go on the offence or no matter how great you planning if you only defend you will fail. In fact if your balance of attach vs defence is even a little off you will fail. The computer baddys are tough, and may even break you heh.

Abyssus

Abyssus

As a late 19th Century brinepunk mercenary-for-hire, you are employed to explore the subaquatic ruins of an ancient civilization. However, your mission of discovery turns to one of survival as the sunken kingdom’s corrupted inhabitants make it clear that interlopers are not welcome.

Wield an array of exotic, adaptable weaponry, and fortify yourself with mysterious, enhancing powers as you engage in a seemingly perpetual battle against the watery domain’s ranks of mutated guardians.

Abyssus is the latest creation from Swedish developer DoubleMoose, which was founded by ex-developers from Coffee Stain and Ubisoft.

USE OUTLANDISH GUNS TO KILL OUTLANDISH ENEMIES

Equip yourself with human brinepunk firearms or strange, ancient weapons as you prepare to face foes unlike anything you’ve ever encountered before

EXPERIMENT WITH WEAPON AND CHARACTER MUTATIONS

Modify and customize your guns to suit your playstyle, and harness the power of passive and active abilities to give you an edge over enemies

EXPLORE THE UNDERWATER RUINS OF AN ANCIENT CIVILIZATION

Inspired by the folklore of Atlantis, and the designs and architecture of the Aztecs and Incas, the world of Abyssus is richly atmospheric and steeped in mystery

Guns of Icarus Alliance

Guns of Icarus Alliance

With ~700 hours or ~1000 matches on old GOI, and an alpha/beta tester for Alliance, I can recommend Alliance if you desire two of the three below:

+Teamwork-focused play

+Airships

+Stratigic planning and execution.

I’ll go into each in more detail below, but that’s the TL;DR. If you check off two boxes above: get the game!

Teamwork

With the basic ship requiring four crewmembers to run, Guns of Icarus rewards the crew as a whole, not the individuals among them. For example, you can be the best gunner in the world, but if the pilot can’t get the guns to bear on the target, you’ll have a harder time. The same goes with piloting. You may be a great pilot, but if the engineer neglects the engines your ship will quickly be dead in the water. The same goes for engineering, you may keep the components up under pressure, but if the gunner fails to take out the enemy ship’s guns or the pilot puts your ship in a 2v1, well, there is only so much a single engineer can do!

Updated: Jan 4 @ 1:43pm

I like to call myself a veteran of this masterpiece of a game. It’s a sad story.

Started off so fun, so strong, but lack of true content (A few maps every now and then, but it just felt like it wasn’t going anywhere) made me stop playing (Along side some rather political statements made from the mod of their Discord server).

PROS: * The gameplay is amazing from 3 different roles to play. Each with their own purpose and ability. Gunners get all sorts of ammos and reload faster with better aiming using their ability. Engineers get all sorts of tools to fix and prevent damage (Or increase the use of parts) of the ship, able to sprint across the ship (The only one who can). While the Pilot (my favorite one) gets alot of tools to use on the ship, at the cost of the parts on the ship (Sorry engineers!). They are also able to manipulate their turning and speed using their ability.

Foul Play

Foul Play

So after checking the game and playing it completely,I think I can give a fair review of this game.

First of all, what you should expect when you play Foul Play:

You should like beat-em-ups with 2d sprites and all the cons that come with it (bad lineup, more “That should have hit”-moments).

You should like the general idea of a game having a theatre-like feeling.

However, you should not expect a hard game when playing. Elaboration on why later on.

Story: You control Sebastian Dashforth, who combined with his assistant Scampwick Steerpipe is presenting his life as a daemonologist on stage, re-enacting the main events of Dashforth’s last 20 years. Not fearing to go into hand-on-hand combat he and Scampwick are fighting themselves through an lost city of egypt, cursed villages, underwater cities and a london in control of a cult.Fairly generous with the humor and honest (though you may not thank him for it) he will keep you interested to keep playing for a while.

Lot’s of fun and action to be had with this enjoyable side-scrolling beat’em up!

Developed by Mediatonic and The Irregular Corporation, this game was released in 2013 and published by Devolver Digital. Devolver Digital has published games such as Shadow Warrior 2, Hotline Miami and Broforce. The developers have produced less well-known games to date.

The game is full of action. You can achieve combo multipliers of over 300+. That’s a lot of consecutive hits!

You can only play as one character. You are basically an actor on stage with an audience. The more combo’s and more hits you make on your enemies, the more your audience approval goes up and the quicker you can get the audience to fully approve your performance, the quicker you can unlock youir special move and unleash a lot of hits.

Iron Harvest

Iron Harvest

Reminds me a lot of Company of Heros except not as many unit options or customizable skills.

Real player with 61.7 hrs in game

I would recommend Iron Harvest. the campaign is good for an RTS (not starcraft 2 level of story) but compared with more recent RTS' it’s up there and not just a tutorial for multiplayer. gameplay is similar to the Company of Heroes if you like that style, there are four factions (1 dlc faction) to play as, with the mechs I think being a game highlight with unique designs, styles and gameplay for their factions. voice work is good with an option for a ‘native’ language rather than overriding polish, russian and german characters under one language.
