DIRT 5
–——————————————————–
WARNING: do not buy the Amplified Edition but go for the Standard game instead. To this day it’s unclear what the extra benefits of Amplified are gonna be. They already released a car DLC (Porsche Macan) that isn’t even part of the Amplified Edition and in a recent video interview with the dev director on the DIRT YT channel it’s stated that even the Standard game is gonna get extra free content. I still like the game but so far the extra money I paid for the Amplified Edition feels like a waste.

TL;DR
- Dirt 5 is really good with some caveats. If you’re looking for something in the vein of the previous DiRT games, you’ll likely be disappointed. But if you enjoy arcade offroad racers hearkening back to the PS2/Xbox era, you should definitely check this out at some point, most likely on sale.
Pros, Cons, and Meh(s):
PROS
-
Wide range of car disciplines, from rallycross spec cars to 80s rally to trucks to buggys. All of them feel fast, responsive and just fun to drive.
-
Graphics are really solid, night time lighting is especially nice.

Monster Jam Steel Titans
As a huge Monster Jam fan myself who has been going to shows annually since 2015, I was really hoping for this game to be its gaming comeback, considering how terrible ABAIG, Crush It, and Battlegrounds were. Did it turn out to be that way? Well….yes and no. Here’s why.
The Pros
+A nice variety of trucks and tracks to choose from
+Good handling – not as great as POD, but still good
+Improvable truck stats (Speed, Acceleration, Traction, etc)
+Great Career mode (and even a Career+ mode to boot, if you like things really challenging)

Alright im going to be honest here, and just tell it like it is. i think the concept is cool, but ive seen a lot of games overlook these common faults and i think its not bad to give my opinion sometimes. I really hate it when a race game really kicks ass and then when your racing the camera angle is lacking a higher up angled down option, leaving you to look right at the back of the car instead of the road up ahead, i cant really get the feeling that i want from the gameplay.
Another thing, the usage of rhythms on a dirt track are always a fool-proof way to make a game fun, but i really hate it when the rhythms are totally out of time and all you can do is slow-poke it over them or else you end up landing on the front forever and you end up slowing down anyway. the slow leagues at the beginning need their own rhythms. Just add extra bumps when its a straight and weve got our speed up.i had trouble hitting the brakes to tip the truck down also, every time i do that it torques down the tires and i have to lose speed upon landing. Sweet landing but it demands all my speed. im gettin no rhythms here.

Car Puzzle: Round Ways
It makes an error when a car collides with a pizza delivery coming out of a delivery point. While pizza deliveries move backward when they leave the points, the developers have not programmed how to deal it when a car collides with the back of another one. It makes the game get totally stuck, so I have to turn off and restart the game.

Round Ways is a mobile port of a free game that has nothing new to offer in the paid version. The features listed on the Play Store and Steam are exactly the same word for word. It’s a bad port too with relics of the mobile version still intact with a clunky mouse only interface for finger sliding/tapping. It is more of a quick reaction time game than it is puzzle that just doesn’t work well on the PC. The core design has the player switching cars between tracks by tapping the switches, which is much easier to do on a touch screen phone where the player can have their fingers lined up with multiple switches at once vs on the PC where the player can only click one switch at a time and requires dragging the mouse to the next switch. Each level is fairly simplistic, but the time limit and switch limits for getting 3 star ratings become too cumbersome on the PC version. As early as level 13 it’s like the dev just gave up on the level design and flat out admits the level does not have a solution and instructs the player to use an auto-abduction power-up that passes the level. After this point the entire game can just be auto-completed and it’s hard to tell which levels actually have a solution anymore. Just play the free version on a touch screen phone.

Off-Road Paradise: Trial 4x4
I really saw the potential of this game…
Unfortunatly it failed on too many levels.
Positives:
-
The whole idea of a offroad trial game on small rock islands with a tropical theme
-
Some of the levels are fun and nice to play, and give a good vibe
-
a lot of levels
-
ok graphics
Negatives:
-
It feels like driving a bouncy ball on ballon tires in really low gravity
-
bad grip
-
bad physics (feels more like on the moon than on earth)
-
on/off controls, nothing in between, which makes it very hard to play on some levels

Off-Road Paradise: Trial 4X4:
One of the greatest inventions of the 19th Century is without a doubt the automobile. Some are built to look good but surprisingly are lemons; some are built to go fast, but these days unless you are a professional racing driver you are pretty much going to do 110 KM/H at best on a motorway (Down Under, that is). However, some are built for discovering and passing the most difficult terrains. They are Off-Road vehicles. . . Oh, what about Off-Road in Paradise; let’s give it a trial!

## Rise: Race The Future
HELLO! I have been waiting what feels my entire life to write this review and i cannot wait.
So about a year ago i found this game and i fell in love. It has so many things i like about it. For starters its a racing game that just feels really good. I dont like games that make me feel like im driving in a straight line all the time. This game has excellent level design. And the way the cars feel is unheard of. The steering feels so touchy when u first play it but once u get the hang of it its perfect. I really enjoy all the play i get with my controller while driving. I can get fancy with my stick movement, my gas and brake, and the handbrake is amazing. Some games the handbrake dosent feel right but here it has alot of respect from me.

System and Setup:
Windows 10 64bit
Intel Core i9 10900K
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER
LG 27inch 1440p 144hz monitor 27GN850-B
Oculus Quest 1
The game ran with max settings at 1440p, 144fps on the monitor without any notable issues. No complaints about VR either.
Opinion:
+ The near-future car designs are nice.
+ VR mode works well, even if there's no proper cockpit view. A hood cam is the best you'll get.
+ Despite the store page not pointing it out, it does support cloud saves.
- No Achievements/Trophies

## TOP TRUCK DRIVER
Might as well just be called "Hold Right Arrow to Win". This was a complete chore to play. The courses are practically the same, just varying how high and low the hills and valleys are. Z/X is used to rotate your vehicle (and perform tricks, of which there are only 2) but it seemed random at best whether they actually helped me to win or not. The music stops playing when you've played a track to long without completing it and sometimes you will lose randomly (only seen 3x in the last 5 levels of the race portion). A complete ripoff at the full price of $10 and pretty much still a ripoff on a deep sale.

## Ultra Off-Road 2019: Alaska
Love the stunning visuals, they attracted me to the game in the 1st place. UOR played on ultra is really beautiful, almost yelling IT'S ALASKA, MAN! The feeling of freedom is also very nice - what the real off-road is all about. Let's say my inner explorator feels FINE. :D
Next - the driving experience. There was a simulation/arcade debate here, also addressed by the devs. Imho it feels quite balanced right now, though I'm not a hardcore sim fan. My jeep could bounce more/jump higher - maybe some future arcade feature? ;)

This game still needs a lot of work, and they still need to update some of their game description to match with what is currently available, to what is planned for the future as they don't seem to tally up or match. And I dont consider this game a simulator, but rather a simcade which it matches perfectly and is honestly the type of game that I enjoy sinking a few hours into. Also, I dont have a problem with floating objects like pizza, fuel and as such, but it may be nice to have an option to enable or disable them, but seriously its not an issue for me at the current state.
