“You sit on the couch with Jesus and stare at her tits.” 11 outta 10 would stare at tits again.

I left this meme review before the recent updates… now the game would not stop running, and my anti virus had to remove it from the boot list when I restarted my computer… I’m not saying its a bitcoin miner or something but it’s pretty sketchy…

TAMASHII

Well worth the money, the game was creepy, weird, and a lot of fun. At it’s core the game is a puzzle platformer. You have three abilities in the game, you can double jump, place up to three statues, and you can speed up the rate at which the statues decay.

Placing your statues is the main mechanic of the game, you can drop up to three of them at a time. They each have their own timer, and when their time expires, they destroy themselves. You use them to hold down switches, the switches will activate or deactivate block walls or platforms. You can accelerate the timers to destroy your own statues quicker and you will use these mechanics to solve the puzzle rooms throughout the game.

This is a great experience, the graphics are well-done, and you have all the trappings of a basic platformer/puzzler here.

you’re given a brief tutorial, and then the game thrusts you into the world, doesn’t really explain much after that ( although there are numerous pentagrams that offer context sensitive tips )

the main gameplay is you activating switches with either your character, or clones you can make ( up to 3 ) and they have a timer - which makes them explode as it runs out . You can also forcibly speed them up as well.

Waifu Fight Dango Style

Waifu Fight Dango Style

Waifu Fight Dango Style is an exciting new retro-type action based game incorporating a unique mix of intense gameplay and attractive, anime-style character artwork! You and your Waifu of choice will square off against an opponent by bouncing dangos between one another until you break through each other’s defense! Waifu Fight is a crazy mix between the wall breaking mechanics of Breakout, the narrative and sexual elements of HuniePop, the special attacks and combos of Street Fighter, and the retro action from good old fashioned Pong!

Unlike its contemporaries in the ecchi game field, Waifu Fight incorporates its characters as a gameplay element—frequently a character will pop into the middle of the screen and your dangos will bounce off of her cute and sexy body! Combine this with a robust suite of items and power-ups, the paths to victory become nearly endless!

Waifu Fight Dango Style supports both single and multiplayer game modes. Each game mode is listed below with a quick description explaining its features. The game will not display any nudity and will sometimes push the limits of ecchiness.

Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe

Angry Video Game Nerd I & II Deluxe

Game play is pretty much how it plays from the 2nd game throughout all 3 games, don’t expect original AVGNA physics. It plays really good and responsive. Last Chapter is a pretty short addition to this remake, features some AVGN references as well and has new music remixed throughout the levels, it’s really good. Easy mode this time is really easy. A lot of the death blocks you’ve known to despise are now spikes that simply damage you. The good thing is you can go through them too ;)

The invincibility frames are drastically shorter this time, an odd decision as the same enemy / spikes can knock you back and while you’re holding forward it’ll damage you again, it can get frustrating at times.

CHECK OUT MY VIDEO REVIEW AT THE BOTTOM AS WELL!

I give details on the difference between the versions and go over each level.

I received a review copy of this game a while ago and cannot get enough of it. This is more than just a compilation of the first two games. It’s a complete overhaul of the first, a tweaking of the second, and a brand new third for the grand finale!

Refitting the first game into the engine the second used, we get a lot of improved graphics. The colors really pop! Also no more “Continue/Quit” screens! When you die, you immediately reform at the checkpoint! So you don’t loose any momentum! At least one boss has been replaced but I’ll leave that for you to find out (Or you can watch my video). Also the Cameos/Collectibles are intact (Although the Cameos are now Future Nerd appearances) PLUS you can now find the NERD letters like you would in II. And best of all, the difficulty has been curved for the better! 3/4 of the death blocks have been replaced with spikey balls! It can still be a pain but not as infuriating.

More dark

More dark

A fine 2d puzzle platformer. More Dark offers surprisingly much for such a small package. We have 2x30 levels of pushing boxes puzzles, three abilities, two (arcanoid-style) mini games, two (bowser/hammer tortoise) mini-bosses, nice pixel art, and your typical chiptunes (actually, not too bad and gloomy, but not my really thing, I am picky when it comes to music. Though the sound effects are annoying, I’ve had to turn them off.

Unfortunately, the controls are rather weak, esp. if you use the keyboard, not game breaking but you easily die because your jump was not precise, you hit the bomb instead of the slime button, or simply tap on R by accident and reset the current level.

Real player with 5.8 hrs in game

More Dark is by no means a perfect game. You play as what appears to be a an imp (whose sprite reminds me of Ned Flanders) that has to solve platforming puzzles to kill prisoners in Hell for some reason while the devil is on vacation.

Allow me to go over the cons: It’s very short. The dialogue is terribly translated. Said dialogue spoken by Evilina, the demon lady featured in all the art is spoken by a man without any sort of attempt at making it sound like a woman. Said demon lady is the only truly decent-looking pixel art in the game. Most of the difficulty of puzzles is thanks to red herrings. Much of the usable items rely on trial and error because you’re only given some of the details about how they work. The unlockable hats rely on finding a key in random levels by hugging the walls to find their exact location rather than being an optional, more-difficult level solution. The presence of a respawn button can make you accidentally kill yourself and add to your kill count. Said button is pointless because you can just exit the level and go back in if you get stuck, and that doesn’t count toward death total. Finally, sometimes there’s an odd hitbox inconsistency because at one point, I landed right on a normal enemies head and died.

Night Jackal

Night Jackal

A fun arcade game. It kind of reminds me of the old Spy Hunter arcade game which was my favourite arcade game back in the late eighties. The retro and fuzzy retro graphics are fun but wish the text was more clear, as I can’t read some of it as it is.

As the reviewer that has spent the most time with Night Jackal thus far, it’s bonkers.

The game is full of nostalgic charm, yet still manages to feel fresh and intuitive.

It’s a little bit like Spyhunter from another viewpoint, (Probably closest to the Spyhunter for the Tapwave Zodiac that nobody played but me). It’s got some fantastic Duke Nukem style one-liners like “I’m gonna sh*t on your entire family”. Everything about the game just oozes personality.

Gameplay is fast and twitchy too, you need to adapt to different situations like oil slicks, traffic, and enemy vehicles that not only attack you in different ways, but are also impervious to certain attacks.

Silver Island

Silver Island

I don’t do reviews much but I did put almost eight hours into this game so I think it’s fair to give it a shot. There’s zombies and floating eyeballs and this weird silver fire extinguisher/snake thing that I hate with all my heart. And then there’s demon strippers and a cat that can topple civilizations. Oh, and you play as the obviously reincarnated Kurt Cobain to kill all these things (except the cat cause your supposed to save him).

I will say this is a metroidvania game and it’s my first encounter of such. So yeah, there’s trekking back and forth, there’s me trying to cut a tree down with a chain and trying to dig holes with a baseball bat and other nonsensical things that need proper weapons to expand the world which are hidden in sewers and on buildings and behind fake walls. Don’t go into those sewers without a flashlight! Don’t. Just don’t. And if you do get lost, watch my videos. You can FF through them to see where I ended up eventually to get the best weapon in the game.

Game reminds me of Ninja Gaiden, the music is dope, the environment in unique and the game is fun - although not very ‘PC’ so you ought stay a way if that’s your thing.

It’s a fun 2D scroller.

Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards

Leisure Suit Larry 1 - In the Land of the Lounge Lizards

Rating: 8.3/10 This is a classic point and click (well type and arrows, lol) adventure game. It’s refreshing to be able to lay back, stroke a few keys and look for love in one of the few games directed solely towards an adult audience. Al Lowe, the creator of the Leisure Suit Larry series is a juggernaut in the gaming industry. He had wet dreams of creating classic games and worked very, very hard to do just that by creating many of the classic games we still enjoy to this day. He helped shape Sierra Games into one of the biggest gaming companies at the time. Sierra was known for many types of games of course. However it can be argued that without their point and click adventure games they most likely would not have grown to be such a dominating gaming company. Leisure Suit Larry 1: In The Land Of The Lounge Lizards is a prime example of why Sierra and Al Lowe became so successful. The game play is addictive. The humorous writing is literal laugh out loud content. And the game is great for a first time player or someone looking for that nostalgic hit. There is a reason this game went on to spawn a continually growing series; still making new titles to this day. If you have a passion for point and click adventure games then Leisure Suit Larry 1: In The Land Of The Lounge Lizards is one not to be missed. If you have played any of the other Leisure Suit Larry or Larry Laffer (Larry’s spitting image nephew) games then going back to the start where Larry first lost his virginity will not leave you with blue balls!

Real player with 89.9 hrs in game

In Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards you play as Larry Laffer, a nearly forty-year-old virgin who has lived with his mother for his entire life. However, he suddenly realizes that this is no longer the life for him and sets out to meet women in the city of Lost Wages.

For the purpose of this review, I played the original EGA version. This Steam release also includes the 1991 remake.

This game, originally released in 1987, is a classic of the adventure game genre that spawned an entire series of Leisure Suit Larry games that continues to this day. Due to the age of the game, it may be a little difficult to review. It is an adventure game that primarily uses a text parser for the player to interact with the game. While this may be an unusual way to play a game by today’s standards, it was fairly common in adventure and text games decades ago.

Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice

Leisure Suit Larry - Wet Dreams Dry Twice

Having played LSL7 and LSL1 Reloaded, I really liked Wet Dreams Don’t Dry, I thought it was a good reboot and the developers really managed to get that LSL touch and feeling. Unfortunatelly, this sequel is not as good as the first one in my opinion. The developers incorporated some new things compared to the first one, like a quest log or a blueprints crafting thing…that’s great, but there are some flaws in this game. Some riddles are just too complicated to figure out, or not really fun to play and probably out of place (the maze is not TOO horrible, but still, it’s….a maze, you know). You will tell me that it’s like this in every adventure game, and yes, you’re right, but even for a point’n’click, sometimes it’s just too much. Also, I should say that if you don’t like under-the-belt jokes and stuff, you’ll probably not like this game, but then again, it’s like this since the very first episode of the series so I’m not sure why people are complaining about this. Some songs have been recycled from the first game, same for the characters and voice actors. But the worst thing in this game is the bugs and glitchs, there is a stupid amount of them in the game, even more than the first one at it’s launch. Translation glitchs, display glitchs, characters that goes through the scenery, etc…there are not game-breaking and permastuck (from my experience) but it’s really not great in term of game experience. It took me 20 hours to finish the game for the first time, so yeah, the content and lenght is not the problem. It’s not a bad game, it’s actually pretty good, but something is missing, not sure what exactly it is. I would still recommend it BUT not in it’s current state. Devs, you have a lot of work to do in patching and correcting the freaking bugs and glitchs. And if there was to be any third CrazyBunch LSL game one day, maybe you should change the formula…the playings mecanics, the graphics, the universe, the look of the hero. But it’s already great to have two more LSL games, thanks for that !

I’ve just finished the game (which took me two days) and I must say, overall, I was blown away. It made the first game (WDDD, I mean) look like a tech demo.

There was so much in the way of traditional adventuring to do, an engaging storyline, beautiful artwork and solid authentic dialogue delivery (top notch from the main two as well).

Forewarning us to say no nudity was a bit of a misnomer, from what I could see. A trend that was started in WDDD, there was plenty of comic boobage (things that weren’t boobs but sure as hell looked like them) and even puss. There was also plenty of clothed animation. The guard on the (almost) all-female island certainly springs to mind (and not the only thing that springs at the thought). Then there was the subtle suggestion of triangle trim on the secret agent, the areola exposure and pokies on some of the women.
