Cover Your Eyes
(Video review via the following link https://youtu.be/KmlMnGceruQ - this post is really just to shed a little more light on the game and offer my Steam recommendation).
The dev was kind enough to reach out to me to cover this game on the channel, and all in all I like it a lot.
There are some ‘first time’ blips on the radar that crop up, and at times it can be frustrating, but if you’re a fan of indie/RPG Maker horror with some action thrown into the mix Cover Your Eyes is definitely worth a try.

Intro
Cover Your Eyes is an adventure RPG Maker game with a shooting element. Despite being tagged as a horror game, the game isn’t scary at all.
Pros:
-
A lot of weapons to use
-
Various enemies to beat
Cons:
-
Character is walking too slowly, especially with the limited dash
-
Pauses between dialogues hurt immersion when reading the story
-
The game feels repetitive after you play it for a while

Damage: Sadistic Butchering of Humanity
I came across this game quite by chance while Steam-browsing. Despite not having a Xmas sale I decided to try it out anyway and I’m glad I did!
In its current state, the basic premise places you (a psychopath) at a massive disco where you can explore to find valuable items/money or forget all that and just immediately start a massacre. Having never heard of the original Amiga version, this game surprised me. With other similar old games like Postal becoming famously controversial for their indiscriminate violence, I’m still unsure how this title slipped through the radar. Nonetheless, I’m glad that developers have finally gotten around to making a PC version. It’s great fun and has no shortage of violence, adult content, and un-PC humour.

EDIT: Well after 2 years there has been no news or update to this game. Because of this I have to change this review and to say “DO NOT BUY!” as it appears the project is dead. I hate having to do this, but I guess I have to. And doing so I have to re-post as it disables people from liking the review (Thanks Steam!)
Original review - Posted: 12 Dec, 2016
Having played this almost a year ago by downloading it from their website I’ve played a few hours of it. I quite enjoyed this game. Having stumbled upon it a year ago as I was searching the interwebs for some new games, word of a free game/demo called “Damage: Sadistic Butchering of Humanity” peeked my interest. What that was is almost exactly what this game is now. It was on the same dark humor level as Postal, but with the gore/violence level of say Postal and Splatterhouse. This is the re-master of the Amiga version (which I’ve never played, as I was only 3 years old when it was released,) and you can even download and play the original Amiga version for FREE on their website (ROM Emulator software required) which is pretty rad of them to do.

Operation Rescue: Bunnies
Disappointed this left Early Access without it’s problems fixed. Biggest is the it needs to auto detect the native language at start. It starts in Chinese by default. You must press ‘Y’ to change to English. There is no way for an English player to know this when starting!

The Detective Chapters: Part One
Really enjoyed the overall story. Like the whole Goth thing that you got going here - loved those clubs back in the 80s and 90s. Except for a couple minor crashes that I was able to recover from that game is excellent and has promise. Wish there was more to the chapter but looking forward to the next!

The time I spent with The Detective Chapters: Part One mostly consisted of the playable character getting stuck on small objects I accidentally knocked over, trying the find my lost cursor, and physically writing down binary to solve a puzzle. That all came to a halt when the game got stuck 3 separate times on a day transition card reading “October 7th 2016”. From the very little I got to experience, this game feels as if it’s still a rough draft. If you decide to give The Detective Chapters a shot, you should do so in the ridiculously awesome early 2000’s graphic setting.

A Dump in the Dark
So this is the premise: you control a pair of asscheeks that shit everywhere. There are a few different kinds of shits you can do including standard poos, violent diarrhoea, long range sniper shits and farts which can be lit on fire. This may all sound like its supposed to be a comedy game but its actually horror, and man, its pretty effective at that.
So the game is split up over 8 different levels each containing a few scenarios. It’s hard to talk about such a fragmented game but i think ill say upfront that overall this is the most disturbing game ive ever played, and i really do not like it.

Review from an authentic Indian guy. I have hardcore pooping experience in real-life and have the record of holding in poop for 5 days. I would not recommend doing that though, that was a really crappy experience.
Butt-cheeks jiggles too much, I’ve seen a lot of porn in my life but these butt-cheeks in this game jiggle more than breasts on hardcore porn and I’m talking about the real ones, not those silicon footballs.
The texture of the poop is realistic enough but the pee or the vomit is not. You can see blood while pooping so it’s somewhat realistic to real-life. You can control each butt-cheek which is not realistic at all unless you use the help of your hand or have extreme muscle control of your butt.

Age of Barbarian Extended Cut
Age of Barbarian - Extended Cut is a shameless love-letter to the ’80s swords-and-sorcery genre of B-movies and fantasy gaming, revelling in the stylings of Frazetta and Vallejo (with a little Erol Otus for seasoning). The player’s chosen protagonist — either Rahaan the chieftain’s son or Sheyna the former princess — carves their way through an array of fearsome and disgusting enemies, leaving lakes of blood and a trail of severed limbs and heads in their wake as they pursue the sorcerer Nekron and seek vengeance for the wrongs done to them.

Purchased and played first time with Patch 1.6.5
So - I never wrote a Steam-review so far, and also never bought a game from the Indie-section - so double-premier for me ^^
But this game - it really surprised me. Yep, it is not a Triple-A-Game, it was only made by one (!) developer. But, in contrast to a lot of the Greenlight-games flooding Steam this game is one of the rare examples where you can really see: The dev has some passion for this. And has put actual WORK into it! And he knows about the subject of “80”-sword and sorcery.

What a waste of money. I could tell you of all the badly made things in it, but i will not waste you time on it.

SYREN
Okay so Syren is really a mess of a game. It has some positives, it is a functional VR game and has the odd neat idea. But the execution is awful. In fact, it’s a mess of good bits and HORRIBLE DESIGN CHOICES that really just leaves me confused about how it exists. It’s weird to see how the same dev team could produce the highs, and the lows at the same time.
I’m going to release a series of videos playing through (in short form, hopping from greivance to greivance). The first part is available here which gives some context to the state of the game on release (note: not Early Access, full release!):

Syren
Gameplay
Syren is a survival horror game which tasks you with escaping a research facility where everything has gone horribly wrong and there are mermaid cyborgs everywhere hunting you down. That is the basic gist of the game and it doesn’t differentiate much from the formula throughout this horrific journey. Syren is set in an underwater facility with a Bioshock-esque environment and it relies more on building up the environment to tense you up than the actual sirens.

Agony
Kickstarter supporter here. No spoilers in the review!
Phew, it’s a long wait between the moment you decide to support a crowd founded project, and the date when it’s finally out. Agony was founded 2016 November 14th, so it took 1 year and 6 months for it to release 2018 May 29th.
I’ve completed the game for the first time yesterday, it took me ~9 hours to go through the campaign.
Strengths:
Art / Environments
The design of the various landscapes in hell is both detailed and unique. It’s a simple concept to have an underworld, with some skulls and lava, but Agony went deeper then that with many layers of environmental styles. Just a bit of surreal touch the likes H.R. Giger dreamed up on a colorful spectrum and dreamy atmosphere. They went the extra mile to distinguish the major areas with their own unique flavor. Perhaps, there are good news for those waiting on ‘hell freezing over’ after all…

Short Version
I am actually quite mixed on this game.
Whilst the setting, mood, etc. are very unique and well done, there are a lot of bugs and glitches left in the game.
So I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and recommend this game, hoping they’ll fix these.
Long Version
The setting is just done perfectly. You always feel the discomfort of being in a place, that you really don’t want to be.
Whilst the story is … tbh I really don’t know. You’re told that everyone is somehow drawn to the Red Godess and at least for me they managed to pull that off. Although you read in a lot of memos, that she’s literally the worst hell has got, I really wanted to get to her. But other than that, there’s a bit more of motivation later, but that really is it.

Deca
Deca
Deca is an interesting new survival-horror game, that seems to be greatly inspired by games the likes of Outlast and Silent Hill. Deca’s story revolves around a poor soul who got trapped in an old haunted mental asylum.
While trying to escape, you are confronted by all sorts of horror and challenges. In the heat of all this, you will also have to puzzle together the mystery of this haunted mental asylum and its inhabitants.

This one really surprised me! It's a solid horror game with a lot going for it.
Imagine Outlast on a limited budget and you might know what you're in for.
You'll be avoiding a selection of dangerous enemies whilst navigating various environments, solving puzzles and collecting items. Some of the enemies and sections are genuinely frightening, even for an experienced horror fan. It'll last you around 5 hours as well, so great value for the money.
