First Snow

First Snow

I’ve been following this project now basically since the beginning, so expectations were high (but reasonable, since I pretty much knew what’s coming reading the developer blog and some of the creator’s tweets for years). Did they deliver? Oh yeah, they definitely did!

Considering that this is “just” the little prequel to the main story of Twofold, plus they just dropped this for free - this VN’s quality is amazing! It’s not a mega masterpiece, but just the right amount of everything to get you hooked on the story and its characters to want more.

I’ll admit, I had mixed feelings for this game at first but it soon blew my expectations right out of the park.

A great story with brilliant writing and beautiful artwork, displaying two characters with quite different lives coming together in an intricate yet simple manner… The fact that its free leaves me a bit awestruck with how much work was clearly put into it. This game is, without a shadow of a doubt, something the developers should be proud of!

The story goes into a few things that I’m sure many can relate to; first year at college, living away from home, the worry of not fitting in or making friends. The whole thing kinda just gradually happens without thinking about it to be honest (at least in this gamer’s opinion), and this game displays that concept & process amazingly. It also features topics such as the path you want to take and it being hard when you don’t have much support behind that… Its a lovely love story, and I loved every minute of it.

ChuSinGura46+1 S csg-46+1 is an excellent anime visual novel {VN} derived from the renowned Japanese “47 Ronin” legend. The “S” at the end of the title indicates it is a Premium Grade Japanese game. It is offered as “free-to-play” on Steam, so the price is hard to beat ! Essentially, CSG-46+1 is an introduction to the full VN which includes 4 additional chapters. Be aware that this is a mature tale with limited nudity, but there is no “hentai” in the Steam version. /csg-46+1

Before trying the visual novel people should really look up on it’s informaton for example on VNDB.

The visual novel has the tag of “Enforced Playing Order”, that means any choices you made won’t have any big impact onto the game’s endings, like a kinetic visual novel basically.

Technically you are reading a book from page 1 to page 100. I don’t particularly mind about this setting since I am someone who has played over 200+ Visual Novels. But it can sure be annoying to some.

The CG gallery and extras will be unlocked the moment you complete the game on the first chapter. There are several text bugs but they were patched out now by the Devs.

The test of any good fiction is that you should care something for the characters; the good to succeed, the bad to fail. The trouble with most fiction is that you want them all to land in hell, together, as quickly as possible. - Mark Twain

This is the first of Michaela Laws' games, and apparently, there is a whole fandom around it. It also was one of the earliest examples of the otome genre here on Steam. I wanted to see what the fuss was about for myself, and started playing it years ago, got bored and dropped it - and now I’ve revisited it for the sake of completion and making a decent review out of it. Guess what, I was right the first time around. There REALLY is nothing interesting here. It simply is some bad writing, with adolescent pheromones attached to it.

I wrote a really indepth review and then it didn’t post and my heart shattered into two.

Liek if u crie evrytiem ;(

I’ll try to sum up what I said before:

  • Really interesting characters. They all fit into a certain stereotype, but after finishing Sam’s route you can delve deeper into his personality and I’m sure the same goes for all characters.

  • Surprisingly good MC. Not annoying, meek or plain dumb like in games such as Remember Me or Dandelion. She can kick butt, stand up for herself and for the boys, and generally acts quite logically about most things. (As logically as one can when surrounded by hunky demon males, anyway).

n short do not download this game playing it is slightly less painful than I imagine bashing your head against a brick wall until you bleed to death would be. Do not do it.

I honestly thought that there would not be a free product on steam that that I was so bad I would ever recommend against downloading it or say I may not have liked it but its for free but it is at least worth a try Unfortunately congratulations have to go to Kexboy for producing that product

The main reason being that

Introduction

It’s B horror movie style of game. With a relatively simple plot, murders and since it is a visual novel, explicit sex scenes.

The project seemed to have ambition with 4 different starting characters but midway through something happened and the result was a quick job to tie everything at the end.

Censorship

The game was originally uncensored but due to steam policies at the time it got censored again, however there is a guide that points to a google drive folder with the uncensored game files, where you can just move them to your game folder and play the uncensored version, however the achievements are broken in that. So you will have to play the censored version if you want the achievements.

Epic Cards Battle(TCG)

Tldr version:

You don’t need money to win in this game. It is possible to finish in the top 20 each season without spending money but it takes some time and experience. The more you play, the better you will be because your cards will be getting stronger. The game doesn’t require “skill” but “strategy”. You will choose your cards based on how they compliment yours and how to counter your opponent’s but you won’t be “active” in the battle taking more of a spectator role. The single player it’s short. The multiplayer it’s where everyone is. It’s fun, it’s free, you should check it out.

This game is actually fun and not pay to win if you read and have patience. Most Americans are lazy, don’t read and want things to be easy. At first I was losing because I was just spamming random cards with the most stars. After losing a PVP match to someone who used all 1 star cards, I knew there had to be some strategy invovled. Which there is, actually TONS of strategy but a decent amount of reading invovled since there are so many options to counter other players cards.

It’s really not pay to win if you know what you are doing. Like I said, you have to read the cards to see what they counter. I learned enhancing Ice Elementals to level 30 is amazing in PVP. Which is a 1 star card but owns and can control an entire game.

Mortal Royale

Mortal Royale

This game had the potential to be fantastic.

The core gameplay mechanics are very solid.

Since it’s premature release into early access, it has been completely neglected by the developers with absolutely zero indication that they will ever fix the issues that plague the game.

If these problems required serious overhauls of the current content then I would understand a delay, but most of the problems this game has are literally just changing numbers like the count down before the game starts, or changing the damage/armor values of the overpowered relic items (care package gear is op).

Mortal Royale is a fun battleground game that allows players to experience melee combat in a larger arena than any battleground game before it. An in-depth combat system revolving primarily around melee combat sums up the breadth of this game, which boasts the highest player capacity of any battle royale game to be released. Inheriting the bulk of its PVP from its sister MMO, Mortal Online, this game has both a combat and looting system that have been tried and true since 2010. While easy enough for a beginner to pick up, the depth of the combat system, when paired with the available mounts, truly brings this game to life. In addition to a variety of melee weapons available in abundance throughout the impressively large world are spell books, granting any player the ability to feel like a fearsome mage. Ranged combat, while not the most powerful, comes in the form of bows and arrows, which are sparsely placed throughout the world, giving players additional combat options still.

I think this is great! I would just like the option to get rid of the floating balls that start the game in the middle of the dance floor though. When you play your own music, it really kicks it in! :D Whoever put this together did one hell of a job! I hope they do more with it, but it’s free so i can’t complain. The music that comes with this is pretty good, but i just deleted them and added my own mix. The club even adds some reverb and echo to your music to enhance it even more, so it really sounds like your in a huge club…especially with headphones cranked up! Oh yeah, and the lights go with the music as well :D Being able to dance with others would be pretty sweet as well if you could make that happen.

Amoreon NightClub is a free VR experience of a nightclub. It worked on my system, looked good, sounded good, played ok. I was excited when first playing with this game. Plenty of hot women with tight dresses and spandex outfits doing all kinds of sexy dancing surrounding my position. The characters looked fairly lifelike, but has some shiny skin textures and some of the animations are off. Great touch that you have arms and hands that you can control with the controllers and a body hanging off your head that you can see. Included was a great variety of 11 music tracks of the electronic house genre. Has an arm movement matching game, that is hard to do. Instructions in the game folder. You can add some songs if you read the instructions and forum.

‘‘Art is man’s nature; nature is God’s art’’ - Philip James Bailey

Arahitogami is a Japanese word meaning a deity as a human

Ameshiko’s Winter Worm, Summer Grass is an original Japanese otome Visual Novel that centres around the horrific curse known as the Great Mistletoe where the afflicted will have seasonal greenery (such as plants or weeds etc) merge with their body parts and painfully germinate until fully blossomed resulting in the person returning back to nature in their death. The only known way to ease the pains is to have the person visit the shrine’s sacred grove during a Festival.

The art is pretty nice in many parts. I think whoever illustrated this game is extremely talented. But the story itself was lacking in substance. I found myself wanting with all 3 endings. I completed the game more confused than anything and not satisfied. The writing was okay. The choices were inconsistent with the theme, and I’m not even sure I was able to grab at what the themes were supposed to be aside from horror and sort-of-historical-fiction. Is it entertaining? Yes, for a free game. But I definitely won’t be playing it again. Oh yeah, there’s a walk through in the game files if you’re privy to grab it. Otherwise the guides here on Steam are fine too. Cheers!

Geometry May. I swear it’s a nice free game

Geometry May. I swear it’s a nice free game

Geometry May is a nice prequel to Maytroid where May only begins her adventure.

Gameplay is great as always - for a runner game you actually have a lot of freedom in controls allowing for some cinematic combat moments. The game isn’t that difficult aside from couple extra stages after finishing the main campaign.

The meat of the story in this game lies in Journal. You can unlock May’s diary using points you collected (you can also spend them to unlock ecchi pictures (and there is a patch for them)). Diary describes how May got from an awkward teenager arguing with her father to where she is now - fighting some Lovecraftian monsters in other realms (some parts are still a mystery as there is a big gap between the date on the last diary note and the start of the game). I would call this game “May’s Origin”.

PixelGreeds is one of those indie devs I can’t help but admire. Their work isn’t anything that redefines genres. But their work is filled with an irrepressibly earnest energy. Whatever mechanic they’ve figured out, PixelGreeds cannot wait to apply that knowledge into the very best game they can make. As such, their work is always evolving and improving with each subsequent release, and that’s really all I expect from a game designer honing the craft. Geometry May is a solid run n' gun title precisely because it does not muddle itself by trying to be anything more.

how do you Do It?

how do you Do It?

After 300 hour of playing how do you do it. I have scientifically reached the conclusion that reproduction between the two dolls isn’t possible, due to the fact that they don’t have eggs or sperm XD

10/10 doing more research atm

600 Hour Review:

Slop Slop Slop ~ hmmmmmmm this is getting somewhere, there are slight moans which could be heard slightly from the background. I do not currently find this disturbing as i believe it is a sign of enjoyment from the act. In the future i believe the dolls might finally have a child! I’ll call the child Bob… maybe, only if the dolls' eggs were fertile ;)

Long story short: Sex jokes aside, this game does have some interesting ideas about the view of sex to adolescents. Although more of an art project than a game, it only takes a minute or two and is worth at least checking out, no matter what kinds of games you are into.

You can immediately tell how do you Do It? was made in a game jam. It barely has much content at all, and everything about it seems so child-like. And yet, that’s the message being conveyed; how a young girl privately learns about sex, dealing with the confusion and embarrassment of it all. While nothing amazing as a game, the experience is interesting and concise in a way that it’s worth checking out and even analysing if you have the time.
