Code of the Savage

Code of the Savage

“Sails on the horizon… Why they came, we did not know… Destruction, chains…"

Code of the Savage is a tale of vengeance and survival. After escaping a slave ship, you have found yourself in chains and washed ashore on the island Kingdom of Daneth. You must find your way in a brutal and unforgiving world where nothing is black and white.

Code of the Savage is a no-holds-barred classic western style RPG. Inspired by the greats from the 80-90’s with a modern flair. There is a strong emphasis on player freedom through social and moral interactions… Will you choose to firebomb the brothel, the church… Or both? Will you do it for money, glory or just because?

In Code of the Savage, you and the main character are totally new to Daneth. Explore the land and discover its rich history and lore.

I wanted to create a role playing game that brought me back to my gamer days as a child on the C64 and MS-DOS PC. There is just something lacking in today’s RPGs that I miss. Tired of micro-transactions, and randomly generated worlds; I am creating a world that is handcrafted with purpose. Essentially, I am creating the game that I want to play.

Code of the Savage includes a great emphasis on NPC interaction. Each NPC in Code of The Savage has their own story, their own character portrait, and a daily schedule. They will, go about their daily lives, going to work, eating and sleeping.

Level up your character and adventure forth to discover the treasures, history, and people of Daneth.

  • Open world - A large open, seamless, non-linear, hand-crafted world for you to explore. Including day and night cycles, and weather.

  • Exploration - Discover towns, cities, hidden caves and dungeons. Unravel the rich lore of Daneth.

  • NPCs with depth - Meet a rich cast of NPCs with a dynamic branching conversation system. NPCs remember your name and react differently depending on the situation.

  • Dark themes - Code of The Savage doesn’t hold back on what some may consider offensive content. If you’re easily offended, Code of The Savage is probably not for you… This is not a “slay the dragon” and “save the princess” RPG.

  • Player freedom - There are various ways to progress through the game, with no right or wrong answers. Morality in Code of The Savage is not black and white. You decide what’s right, and you decide what’s wrong.

  • Adventure - Battle giants, undead and other creatures, hunt to gather resources, or go on a murderous rampage, the choice is yours.

  • Combat - Fast-paced dynamic combat system which is real time with pause. Combat encounters happen in real time, without loading to a separate combat screen.

  • Inventory - An intuitive and easy to use inventory system. Any equipment and armour the player is wearing shows on their avatar.

  • Controls - Smooth grid-based movement. Easy and intuitive mouse and keyboard controls.

Sovereign’s Will

Sovereign’s Will

You are Konrad von Meinhart, the son of the Margrave of an imperial province. Your father has vanished under mysterious circumstances and has bequeathed to you the title and the family estate. Now the burden of power is on your shoulders.

_Trumpets are solemnly playing fanfare while you are ascending the pedestal. You receive the symbols of authority and swear fealty to the Sovereign – the immortal Emperor, who’s lived thousands of mortal lives and governs the known world.

But it’s difficult for you to search your heart. Are you happy? Proud? Or worried? There is a varied crowd of people in the hall – like a many-headed beast that you are meant to curb. Merchants and priests, war and feudal lords, minstrels and courtiers – there are both friends and mortal foes among them._

FEATURES

  • Nonlinear story in the vein of the old-school RPG

Take on the mantle of a medieval ruler and face the dangers, challenges and contradictions that come with such a duty. Like a mosaic, this branching storyline is composed of hundreds of scenes and deeds of your own, making each playthrough unique. Not only significant story events are subject to change – links between them shift as well.

  • Governance of the domain at every level

Take control of everything: from the minute details to long-term development of your domain. Distribute resources, rebuild the family estate, pardon and punish, maintain relations with neighbours, barbarians and metropoly. Your actions will determine the fate of your duchy - would it become a wealthy trade hub, a culture capital of the realm, or a formidable warmachine?

  • Political intrigues

Navigate interests of influential fractions: feudal nobility, the church and the bourgeoisie. Resolve conflicts, carry out reforms, lobby for beneficial solutions – it is within your means to preserve the old ways… Or to crush feudal traditions and turn your duchy into a trade republic or even a theocratic autocracy.

  • Roleplay

Start with a blank slate and write the personality of the young margrave through decisions of your own: His preferences, interests and even character traits. Devout traditionalist or enlightened enthusiast, warrior or magnate, recluse or gourmand or passionate hunter – a flexible system of characteristics allows you to get into character and act exactly the way you want.

  • Elaborate fictional world

The game takes place in a universal empire that has united the whole of known world. It’s a bizarre fusion of achievements of Modern Era and ancient Roman militarism, permeated with oriental spirituality. Politics is intimately connected to the dogmas of the Church: the priests claim that the Sovereign’s soul is immortal, and that he has been reincarnating in new bodies since the very creation of the world. You are to find out whether there is truth in the holy books or not.

Alright first that 12 hours is probably 4-2 hours off, I used steam remote play to play the game for some of my play time, I believe the game was left running well I was doing other things, I find this convent as I can return to the game where I left off with my phone, but it dose inflate the hrs on record. It’s likely closer to 8 or 9 at the time of this post.

Kingsim is a game of choice and resource management, it’s ment to played much more then once, likely you won’t reach the end on your first attempt unless your very lucky, but dieing in this game is an achievement, and you can save at any point. I find this game really fun and have played it quite a bit and I still haven’t gone on all the paths that are in the game. I’m trying to avoid spoilers in this review, so it’s been a bit akword writing, next I guess I’ll address some things from the negative reviews that are here

A very fun, but very short game. A lot like Long Live the Queen but less VN style… Sort of. You can marry monster girls, or humans if you’re into that sorta thing. I married a mermaid and summoned an adorable Cthulhu to spread joy and death across the world.

There are very many possibilities but the game generally ends around 10 days and then you can go into an endless sort of sandbox mode where the only thing to do is conquer or make peace with your surrounding neighbors.

Honestly I’d say my 3 hours was worth $10, but I really hope to see more content from the devs for this game soon. There’s a lot of possibilities yet.

Gryphon Knight Epic: Definitive Edition

Gryphon Knight Epic: Definitive Edition

Gryphon Knight Epic: Definitive Edition:

After having defeated the enormous dragon that destroyed the all the crops and the army of the kingdom of Valiantskies, and of course, having saved the Princess, the leader of a group of eight heroes, Sir Oliver, fell deeply in love with the Princess as they stared into each other’s eyes for the first time. In the meantime, the other party members were already at the defeated Dragon’s Lair, taking possession of his gold, and most importantly, of seven powerful magic weapons! By the time Sir Oliver arrived at the Lair, there was plenty of gold for him to scoop away, along with an amulet, but no more special weapons. Years have passed, and Sir Oliver is now married to the Princess and has a child, but life is now kind of boring, his only outing being with his amazing Gryphon Aquila to gather food for supper. Until one day . . . he comes face to face with his own spectre, which is his total opposite and swears to destroy him, all thanks the Amulet he found years prior in the Dragon’s Lair.

Classic arcade shoot 'em up (shmup) with polished pixel graphics, metroidvania-lite depth, upgrade systems, and a clear megaman influence; rock paper scissors style weapon acquisition between bosses – minus the punishing difficulty.

It's a breath of fresh air in an otherwise saturated roguewhatever/massive metroidvania market. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a lot of roguelite/likes and love metroidvanias, but sometimes you just want a burger, not a six course meal. The game is still challenging; you'll probably die at least a few times even if you're a bullet-hell junky (which this game also is not).

## Paper Shakespeare: To Date or Not To Date? 2

**King Alexander XI is dead, and without heir.**

Your parents want you to be that heir. Luckily for you, there's totally an ancient tradition for electing a new ruler in times like these: simply lock eight children of royal blood (or the closest thing) in Castle Elsinore, complete with the ghosts of past rulers, and let them manipulate the living heck out of each other and the local population! Two shall rise above the rest: King and Queen (or Queen/Queen, King/King, King/Nobody, Queen/Nobody)! Everyone else that is still alive gets to go home! It's a win-win for everyone (except those that died)!

#### Features

* Interact with eight different potential royal candidates! Sabotage or help them!

* Decide what skills you want to learn as a potential ruler!

* Part strategy, part dating sim, all royal bloodbath! This is more a dating sim than an election sim, though.

* A variety of paths to go down, depending on what you do in the game! Who do you romance? Who do you backstab? Who do you romance and then backstab?

* Invading armies? Political debates? It's all in here!

* Direct continuation of the story started in Paper Shakespeare: To Date Or Not To Date?, but completely separate from Furry Shakespeare and Dinosaur Shakespeare! Telling you why would be **spoilers**. Also, just a perfectly good stand-alone story!

Got me hooked, seems overwhelming at first but it's incredibly simple once you keep going for literally a few secs. Can be a bit hard but I'm still trying to get better at it the more I know and see. Curious little game to chill for a quick run.

The Viking Way; an ambitious project that aims to bring a Viking experience into the 3D RPG world. Upon playing I could see the amount of work being put into this project, through their slowly chipping away at every unpolished surface in the game with every update.

It’s Medieval times, when the Vikings rule the high seas and warring factions fight for new land and dominance over other factions. This is where I come into play; I am about to set off on a journey to represent the Faction Ribe and make my father proud.

![Troubled Passage](https://cdn.cloudflare.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1796660/header.jpg "")

## Troubled Passage

Troubled Passage is a Roguelike ARPG with a very peculiar combat system based on mouse swipes. This system allows for some interesting combat encounters that feel more engaging and rewarding. The mouse is an extension of your sword.

You are set to travel across five regions and reach an old port. There you will take a ship that will take you far away. That's all you know for now. But beware, these lands are filled with undead creatures, traps and other nasty travelers. You should always be careful, even if you decide to share the road with a companion.

#### Character Creation

Choose your character appearance and select a trade. Trades are like character classes that defines with which types of weapons and types of damage your character is proficient with, gaining a buff when using that type of weapon.

#### Combat

Attacks are performed by swiping your mouse in a certain direction (up, down left or right). These swipes will trigger the combat skill that you have assigned to that direction.

![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1796660/extras/ezgif.com-gif-maker__12_.gif?t=1635458506)

There are multiple skills to learn throughout the game for each type of combat:

Unarmed

Onehanded

Twohanded (skills are missing at this point of development)

Bow (skills are missing at this point of development)

#### Loot

Troubled Passage loot system is built on the idea that "if they have it, you can have it". No longer will you get disappointed if a heavy-armored-cool-looking enemy only dropped a knife and an apple. You want that armor! Well, good news! In Troubled Passage, enemies will drop exactly what they are wearing (stats included). You can strip your enemies of everything and claim it for yourself. This means strong enemies equals strong loot.

#### Companions

From time to time, you will encounter recruitable companions that can help you in your quest. They may be expensive, but they are a great help in dealing with enemies. All companions are randomly generated, and so are their motives.

#### Rivalries

Companions react to your attitude towards them. If they get mad at you, they can become your rivals and appear later on to seek revenge as a mini-boss battle.

#### Traders

Visit traders to buy and sell items. Blacksmiths will even allow you to forge your own weapon from a list of components and manage the weapon stats.

![](https://cdn.akamai.steamstatic.com/steam/apps/1796660/extras/ezgif.com-gif-maker__13_.gif?t=1635458506)

#### Random Levels

To ensure that each playthrough feels different, levels are randomly generated. So there are new areas to explore each time you play, and loot is distributed at random. There are still some "static" levels in terms of layout due to workload, but later they will all be fully random.

## Farathan

#### Story line

Fifteen years ago, your Father conquered Elion province and saved it from the orcs. But he wanted more, pushed into orc territory and went missing. After all that time without a ruler, the empire is on the brink of civil war and the most trusted imperial advisor and your mentor decides it is time to crown you to save the empire from falling apart. He summons you to the capital city of Elion.

Few people know about your travel and the route you will take. Mainly your family, your mentor and the Sartorian captain that has to escort you, your dear friend Elrys.

You did not reach Elion, ambushed by orcs, that never before occurred so deep into Elion province. During the ambush, you were "lucky" enough to fall of a bridge into a river. You crashed your head on a rock, but an old fisherman managed to save you. You are weak,do not remember how to fight and no one belives you are Eristan - the rest of the story is yours to tell.

#### **Farathan Indie Rpg**

Indie means with an extrymly low budget. We want you to know - what you buy, so we have enabled a demo (from 20 november). So you know which level of quality we were able to achieve and if it is fun for you. The demo reflects the quality of the whole game, it is about 3% of the game.

**If you want**

- A game that lets you explore

- That does not hold your hand and tell you where to go

- That has many monsters and locations (from the beautiful meadows of Velden, across the forests of Calden to the Iceland's and Sulfur fields in barons Verdons realm)

- That you have to listen to the dialogues and beware of the environment to figure out a quest

Then. Welcome adventurer on the journey you will go with Eristan the presumed that heir to the throne. That has lost everything probably betrayed by his own family.

#### Main heroes - no spoilers

Eristan - Main character, the oldest son of the emperor. Prepared by teachers and war masters to take over the throne from the day he was born. Everyone considers him the only hope of the empire to endure. But after his presumed death he is weak, and the world has fast forgotten about him. You have to guide him through this dark times.

Elurfion - Eristans brother. After Eristans death, he fast took over the northern part of the empire. After all he was next in line. But he is the opposite of Eristan. He always spent time on games and loving woman. He fast became a puppet ruler.

Ewain - Eristans cousin - He took over the southern part of the empire, which can show some Ill will on his side. A great Sartorian general, the army listens to him. Some say he just wanted to save the empire from a ruler like Elurfion - did not plan on taking over the throne.

Elrys - An orphan, brought up by the imperial army. Your dear friend. He is something between an uncle and a brother for you. Very experienced fighter, but he did not manage to save you.

Nistreth - The most trusted advisor of the emperor, your mentor and in fact the man who raised you as your father never came back from the war he rode out on when you were a little boy. He is behind the plan of your coronation and summoning you to Elion.

Grand Master Amon - the leader of the Velden Monastery, the only baron that held his ground against the imperial army (now paying tribute to the empire for peace), one of the 12 heroes that saved the world from the old gods many years back.

Wengo - the leader of the Drangheir hunters. An army of mercenaries created from the survivors of Barons Stalgard army and bounty hunters from Hejstos a province overrun by orcs. He dreams of announcing his independents from the empire, but for now he has to serve.

Elerin - A great battle mage that serves the empire. One of the 12 heroes that saved the world from the old gods many years back. It is said he has ambitions to become a god himself.

Elrim - The emperor himself. Not seen for 15 years.

Ergon - Your uncle. A peacemaker. Dedicated his live to help the common folk. Living in the woods, far from the noise of the court.

#### World

The action is taking place in Elion province. But it has few parts.

Elion - Around the capital city that is also called Elion

Velden - Terrains around the monastery.

Fronta - Forests and a village far to the southeast

Stalgardia - former realm of baron Stalgard. Beautiful place.

Calden - The place of fierce battles with the orcs that are trying to conquer Elion as they did with the rest of the north.

IceLands - A very cold uninhabited land with lots of secret to discover.

Dead Forest - Former realm of Baron Verdon. A dark lord, he gave a lot of trouble to the empire, and he was the spark that made the empire conquer the whole province.

#### Numbers

- 151 NPC's you can talk to. 300 NPCs total.

- 44 monsters + many bosses

- 143 quests.

- 7 hours of recorded by actors dialogues.

- Open world(11km2) with 1 loading screen. And 7 dungeon levels.
