A novel idea start to finish, and while I recommend this for anyone wanting to finish the saga of Azurael’s Circle, I feel it was not a fitting ending. It came too soon - the game play, while familiar, lacked the intensity and scariness of some of its predecessors. I would love to see an epilogue that goes further to finish the story… otherwise, the mechanics remain as awesome as they ever were. I still enjoyed the slow reveal of the light in the shadows and having to make sure I walked every square inch of each room to ensure I didn’t miss anything.

Third Eye Crime

Third Eye Crime

Some people come at this game expecting Metal Gear Solid. It may feel like a let down if you’re expecting MGS. Instead, expect a puzzle game, and you’ll find it to be a mind-bending, challenging, rewarding experience. As you progress, additional game mechanics are introduced, and as you play you’ll find additional ways of working around each mechanic.

You get a “rumbler” (noise maker) to place. Do you put it down and run across the map so that the enemies are drawn to it? Doing so will allow you to break the laser, and even though the alarms will trigger, nobody will be around to catch you. Or perhaps you’ll place the rumbler so that it goes off after you’ve triggered the laser, so the enemies will think you ran somewhere else after triggering the laser. Or maybe you want to run past all the guards, through the laser and around the corner, where you’ll drop rumbler. Then you’ll proceed to the exit, and as you turn the corner, the rumbler goes off so everyone figures they missed you and they turn around. Unseen, you walk to the exit.

For me personally, the audio never worked and I didn’t hear in game sounds even in settings the audio was supposedly fine, the artwork is good and the story is simple. Some of the levels probably would have taken hours to complete and there was never any clear way to get around the complicated ones. The thing I liked about it was the complexity and how each level was pretty and polished, It wasn’t worth it to get this game though and the bugs in the menu ruined the experience for me. 4/10.

Man of Honor

Man of Honor

A cross between Hotline Miami and Mafia. A very quirky game that I had a great time playing. The story and gameplay are both top notch and it’s well worth your time.

The game makes a very good impression. “Man of honor” is highly recommendable for those who have spent many hours playing gta1,2 and “mafia”. The plot is simple enough - it’s a classic gangster thriller where the main character takes revenge on the one who betrayed him. It genuinely has good gameplay. This game is really hard compared to other games in such style of top-down shooters. It’s kind of game made purely for fun. Love the style. Totally loving this game, and find it hard to stop playing. “Man of honor” is made wisely, with humor and love.

has anybody won a race? if so i want to see video evidence! i want to see one of the devs win a race on easy because for a start its not possible to select difficulty on local mode! i dont believe the devs have even played the game!!!!!!!! its impossible to win. online mode is pointless cos theres always an ai with you that will win every time. making a game impossibly difficult will not bring sales. big fail devs!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to Steam, I last played this for around an hour back in 2017 when this game was still in Early Access. On a whim I decided to revisit it, and all I gotta say is, I’m really disappointed. When I last played this, I felt that the concept was cool but it was lacking in content, and just needed something more; according to the discussions, I’m not the only one that felt that way.

Other than some bugfixes according to the patchnotes (although OneWay’s AI is just broken), version 0.6.7275.31597 (which is the current version as of me writing this) has two new maps and SLIGHTLY different car handling. Nothing else, no alternate game modes, no new cars, no career mode, nothing. Just quick play with bots, other people on the same screen, or literally no one online. My problem with that is, Street Heat feels nothing more than a proof of concept that you get bored with after maybe an hour tops. At least grinding the car unlocks & achievements only takes three total at most.

Boring in paradise

Boring in paradise

Two arcade games in one: “Antipain” & “Antitrolley”.

The first is a pseudo-three-dimensional runner. It’s a kind of meditation.

The second is race against time with a top view. Run over few pedestrians by accident or become a road killer.

From the author:

To avoid pain or to be that pain. Notice objects in this world or discern a foundation in it. To choose. Not to choose. Accident or cruelty. Mercy or coincidence. Music. Screams. Overcome or substitute. Imaginary cities or a mirror of loneliness. Executioner and victim, at least. They are close. They almost communicate, even if they delegate to doubles. A world is seen again.

Splatter - Zombiecalypse Now

Nice little shooter, with surprisingly detailed world, Sin City inspired cutscenes and funny dialoque

Having just finished the main story on Nasty-difficulty, the highest you can get on the first playthrough i think i’ve seen most of this game. Maniac difficulty next, you will unlock it after finishing the game.

Top-down shooter, plays like you’d think it shuold. Only thing that bothered me in this was how the screen went black and white when my health was down. It made enemies sometimes hard to see, and my cursor was lost there as well because there’s a lot happening at times on the levels. Other than that, it was a cool effect. Few deaths because of the unclear screen, but nothing too annoying.

With an assortment of top-down shooters to choose from, Splatter is a gem.

With the exception of one level segment and (to my knowledge) a bug only I’ve encountered thus far regarding the final boss, there aren’t many flaws to be found in the game beyond those that are minor (occasional spelling errors in the dialogue and item texts being the only thing that stands out readily and even then they aren’t hindering enjoyment of the game overall).

Dreamworlds has managed to nail exactly what makes this particular type of game fun to play vs. turning it into an interminably difficult chore. The dialogue and art-based cutscenes don’t drag on longer than they need to, leaving plenty of time to enjoy soaking multiple parts of a level’s floor with the blood of enemies.

HEIST

HEIST

This is a great stealth puzzle game. The art, the sounds and the music all give the game a great mood.

There are so many ways to do better in each level giving you excellent replayability. The multiple paths through a level combined with checkpoints mean that you can always crawl your way through a more difficult level to get to the finish, but that leaves you room to come back and find a new way to get through the level even faster.

HEIST is easily in my top 10 favourite indie games of all time.

So most of the reviews on this game are like 3 years old, so a slightly more recent one, game is brilliant. gameplay is a lil iffy at times but if you love stereotypical noir shit this game is brilliant for it and it has probably the best soundtrack I’ve heard on a video game. idk if its worth the money but defo worth the play. 10/10.

Pecaminosa - A Pixel Noir Game

Pecaminosa - A Pixel Noir Game

Do you get value out of the price you pay? Yes and catching it in during a sale is a no brainer to add to your collection. There aren’t many noire themed games after all.

The presentation and the vision for this game is up there. As a backer for this game, I feel satisfied with what the team delivered. You can feel the effort and passion that this small indie team poured into this project.

  • Visuals are really good, except for the character portraits present in the dialogue boxes as those could have been touched on a little bit more.

After following this game’s progress for quite a while and now being able to play it and finish it already

TWICE I can happily say that I had a very fun experience and it was worth the wait

Pecaminosa gives you what they told you were going to have: rich story, Immersive ambient, amazing soundtrack, fun boss battles and some dried humour… which was very welcome. Being able to play as an old detective trying to fix his past mistakes while living in a hopeless city where drugs, sex, violence happens from day to night. Managing to find a little bit of hope just for it to be taken away from you… and still moving on was quite interesting. This game truly shows
