Wall Ninja
It is a really good game! You need to have perseverance, because it usually doesn’t work the first time, but when it does, it is very rewarding.

After the last update this game has become much more fun! I enjoy the experience and I’m curious what the developer will do with it. If you liked Getting over it, I would recommend giving this a try :)

Negative: The Way of Shinobi
This is a textbook example of how a game can do nothing to teach its players how to play. Tried to do the tutorial and it wouldnt go past the initial buttons. Had to figure everything else out from looking up the controls. Once you do figure it out it’s somewhat decent. Movement feels a little strange and abilities (Specifically kunai and grapple) feel extremely wonky on Keyboard, almost unplayable. I’m guessing this is a game meant to be played on controller. If you’re a keyboard player I wouldn’t recommend.

Binger Ninja
Really enjoyed playing through Binger Ninja!
I love the aesthetics of the game as well as the tongue in cheek humour. The music and visuals really do make you feel as though you are back playing a game boy game.
Seems like the developers have really hit the niche that they were going for which translates to a fun game :)

So, you’ve read the description of the game and now you’re here looking for the truth. Watch the video posted above, it’ll give you an intro to the game, gameplay and my thoughts on the game.
Binger Ninja is an interesting oddity in the sense that has way too many mechanics, charm and clarity to be only $1 (USD). I was not expecting so many polished systems, driving narrative and fun gameplay. Do you fancy yourself a ninja? What to crawl through vents and hide behind plants? Do you enjoy attacking people unmercifully with food? Are you hungry right now? A simple yes to any of these questions tells me that Binger Ninja is the game for you. Pick it up now and tell your friends as well.

N++ (NPLUSPLUS)
I played this game for over 60 hours on PS4, getting every achievement (currently the same achievements on both platforms).
Skip this first paragraph if you want to get straight to pros, cons, and opinion
N++ is a simple in concept minimalistic 2d platformer. Guide your character, the ninja, avoiding various traps, obstactles, and fall damage in search of riches. (gold coins scattered throughout levels). The ninja can wall jump and move in any direction. Every level has at least one door switch that opens a door to the end of the level. Navigate to that open door to finish a level. There are between 2000 and 2500 total official levels in three modes called Co-op, race, and solo mode ranging from easy/tutorial scaling up to the extremely challenging. All of these modes consist of episodes that have a pack of 5 levels together. As time passes in a level the score counts down. When that score hits 0 the ninja explodes and must start the level over. The time is additive in every episode. Collecting gold adds time. After beating an episode, it is possible to select levels individually. There are global leaderboards for every individual level and episode as well as friend leaderboards and replays for every best personal score. There is an in-game editor where players can make and play community made levels.

N has been a series I’ve followed since around 2006, where I would secretly play it during class. The game was pretty special back then since it was made in flash, yet it was so well made and content rich that it could of passed as a AAA title at the time. Flash forward to 2016 with the release of N++ and it still holds strong as being one of the best platformers out there.
N++ is the best version of N, being the most polished and content rich of the series, but what makes this game truely special is something that has existed since the first version of N, that being its very well executed movement mechanics. N was a game that focused purely on platforming, there’s basically no story, no abilities, no player gimmicks, no killing enemies (they’re are plenty of enemies to kill you however). It’s just you and your ability to run, jump and wall jump.

Ninja Code
Tidy little game, though it could be longer. It’s easy to figure out, it’s fun and it’ll keep you busy for a while.

So where I enjoyed the gameplay because it reminded Lara Croft GO Hitman GO and Deus Ex Go. The big difference is the not knowing what level I was on. I had to look up how many levels (there are 40 Levels) were in the game because there was no way to actually tell. In other games like this there is usually a level select screen that tells you what you’ve either beaten and/or how many levels there are. The ending wasn’t to challenging and the pacing is pretty good. But for $3.99 (US) I can’t recommend it. If it is on sale I would say pick it up if you like this genre of game. It is fairly short I have a total of 1hr46min but about 30 was from me being afk and taking care of RL things.

The game is a turn-based strategy game. It has a very simple login screen. You can create a room and invite your friends or you can join another room. However, you will need the room code for this. When you want to join a room, you write your name, write the room code and you join. The nickname writing part is a bit bad, as far as I remember you can use 4 or 5 letters. When you join the game, you will see your soldiers after the room owner chooses a color for you. After choosing the best formation that will be advantageous against your enemy, you are ready for fight. You take turns moving your soldiers and getting them to fight with the enemy’s soldiers, entering the enemy’s territory. I have no idea how to win the game because optimization of the game is so bad that you can get low fps even on a very good computer. Although there is no difference between low quality and high quality in the game, the game may crash when you set it to high. I think these kinds of things will be fixed in the future because game has just been released, but it is wrong for them to sell dlc when the game is in a mess.

Slime Fantasy: the search for the lost sword
More Reviews @ TheVideogameBacklog.com (It’s not updated a lot currently because I’m working on my 2nd game.)
Full disclosure: I went out of my comfort zone for this game because I saw a post about it on twitter about Slime Fantasy and it looked cool. It’s a Pico-8 game about a slime that needs his sword back to defend his kingdom and so I followed the link to Steam. What I saw there was a cool-looking pixel game with zero reviews. Honestly, I hated to see it. Especially when I thought the game looked interesting enough. Then it was confirmed to me that it was a “kill you a lot” platformer. I hesitated for a day or so then picked it up. It did and does kill me a lot; that much is true. Is it worth picking up though? Let me break it down for you.

Hack or Die!
Amazing game! Totally unique and innovative core gameplay mechanics, a huge accomplishment for a modern platformer. It fundamentally changes the nature of platforming.
I did in fact purchase the game with my own money, and It was money well spent. However, for the sake of honesty, I must note that I consulted for the developer, and I know the developer closely. At the same time, I have never been paid by the developer nor offered any form of compensation, so I’m no shill.
I’m a huge fan of this game, and I’d still be a huge fan even if I had no relation to this game. It is an absolutely incredible game, particular for fans of high skill platforming games (one of my favorite genres). Everything in this review represents my genuine beliefs.

This game!! Skill building levels with rewarding challenges and puzzles. I was surprised to learn there was so many different kicks and combinations. My skill and techniques grew as the game progressed. Dope music too.
