AVOID THIS GAME!!!!

For starters this game uses Quick Time Events which isn’t a bad thing, the issue is the the sheer amount of QTE’s. Segments that should be cutscene turn out to be a boat load of QTE (quick time event) sequences which if you progress through the game quickly will happen sometimes every 5 minutes or less. Or if you want to you can QTE every single enemy with no sucsse. If you are using a controller the Quick Time Event prompt fades in giving you less time to react where the keyboard prompt is an immediate thing. All around it feels like quick time events were something that was just tacked on at the last moment and it doesn’t really fit. But don’t despair, the QTE’s have a difficulty setting; if you don’t want to put up with them you can set it to the lowest setting and watch it as the cutscene it should be although the prompt will still pop up like you are still gonna give it a go.

This is certainly a video game.

I have to bring up the quality of the port first cause it’s almost mythical at how bad it is. This is the kind of bad port where every single user will have a different set of problems. For me the game kept thinking my controller was a keyboard, so I had to manually make a config file (I made the file public too if anyone has the same problem) just to actually use a normal xbox controller.

For some reason, the game will not crash in big picture mode. Otherwise, the game will crash randomly, or when you skip a cutscene, sometimes when skipping cuscenes in big picture mode, it would alt tab to the big picture menu, you also need to close the game via big picture mode or the game will freeze other wise.

I totally recommend this game (if you don’t mind the price).

I think the honest value would be 50% of what it costs, the game is very fast, very repetitive (in the good sense of repetitive)

you can beat the game in 3hours easily, it’s like an arcade game.

basically it’s a mash simulator, but with some small variations of combos and items (kunai).

if you’ve played odin sphere, the satisfaction in the combo is the same, but much simpler combos.

don’t expect anything from the enemies' artificial intelligence, they’re just standing there to take damage.

YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z

YAIBA: NINJA GAIDEN Z

The only Ninja Gaiden experience currently available on PC! I say enjoy it!

Note: Only recommended if you have a controller!

Pros:

  • Amazing graphics and animation as one expects for a Ninja Gaiden game.

  • Cool combat and funny/interesting enemies

  • Funny anti hero character

Cons:

  • The game is too short for a Ninja Gaiden game

  • Enemies are funny but can get old, and no Ninja type enemies. All are zombies!

  • Can be frustrating (but then what Ninja Gaiden game isn’t?)

So in my view Ninja Gaiden 1 as a game is the Deus Ex equivalent of action games

I want to clear something up before I move on here. This game is NOT a traditional Ninja Gaiden game, if you couldn’t already tell. I feel as though some people were looking for a Ninja Gaiden 4, a true sequel to Gaiden 2 (because 3 was definitely a different, less satisfying beast). So Yaiba. This game is the extreme opposite of a true Ninja Gaiden game in many ways. However, it is also like those games in many ways as well. Let me explain.

I’ve played Ninja Gaiden 1-3, beginning from the original xbox. I was never great at them, constantly getting punished just like every other regular joe, but I beat all three. I’ve read from others that this isn’t a true Ninja Gaiden, that it’s easier, that it’s more or less terrible. Sure, if you were amazing at the first two, maybe this one wasn’t that next level of challenge you were looking for.

Note: This game is very much alpha. All features shown in gameplay are currently accessible, and playable. However it is still pretty buggy, so heads up!

Shodō is a VR game where players fight in a 5v5 battle of chaos magic, in the martial art of their own design.

In this universe you must work for your power. No cheap fireballs, no facerolling, no mana resource to constrain you.

The raw power of your Sigil is dependent on both how complex it is, and how accurately you can execute it in the heat of battle.

Build your magic art to match your personality - do you like fast paced, rapid attacks that overwhelm your enemy? Opt for flow casting, which minimizes casting time and maximizes attack rate.

Or perhaps you would rather forge a weapon no other can destroy, that will instantly kill whatever it touches - at the expense of an intricate, complex sigil.

Enter the world of Shodō and experience for yourself, psychic abilities that come at a real mental cost. Become the protagonist, the master of your art, and carve your path into the history of this environment of controlled chaos.

Sword of Hypotenuse

Sword of Hypotenuse

The bloody truth of the Pythagorean Theorem lies along the Sword of Hypotenuse. Become a squishy tofu ninja and battle your way through the broken Number Line.

Walk, run, skip, dodge, jump, flip, and dive head first into this isometric 3D (+2.5D?) world filled with weapons - and a bunch of squishy Pythagoreans that want to stop you!.. from stopping them. Its umm, ok let’s back up.

So, the Pythagoreans want to reconnect the Number Line, but they’re sorta interpreting information they stole - so you know - kinda sketchy - its a whole thing, you’ll see. Talk to some of the characters, it’ll make sense. No math pop quizes, but you will need to think! There’s some different worlds and different permutations depending on how you break stuff, then reconnect it, then brake it again if you need to.

Find the rare missing Alogon pages from the Sacred Book of Math - err, not the count-y add-y stuff - the fun stuff! Traditional 2D pencil-test animations that help you interpret the story… depending on the interpretation of course!

In addition to the Story Mode you can also just battle your fellow humans in Battle Mode, or have them pop in to help you fight - maybe even as a squishy tofu shield! There’s also a Classic Mode where you battle waves of increasingly difficult enemies - stop talking and ship the game? OK, got it!

So, hope you enjoy it! Good luck fixing the broken Number Line Pythagoras broke. May your booleans always be true!

Attempting to play the game here:

https://youtu.be/aOJkZ2rgKIw

First off there’s a major glitch always at 6 hearts if an enemy suicides they stop spawning I also unfortunately found out on stage 4 at 34 hearts and 39 hearts it glitches as well. I gave this game my best attempt, but stage 4 they are so suicidal it’s annoying and no longer worth the effort. Dialogue at the start is WAY too fast as well. This is just personal preference, but I really wish you had to platform to the enemies instead of being able to dash through platforms with your slash. I like the concept of the game and when it works it’s pretty dang cool I like it enough I’m not going to refund it even though it’s broken, but as it is right now absolutely cannot recommend game is broken.
