Sword of Hypotenuse
The bloody truth of the Pythagorean Theorem lies along the Sword of Hypotenuse. Become a squishy tofu ninja and battle your way through the broken Number Line.
Walk, run, skip, dodge, jump, flip, and dive head first into this isometric 3D (+2.5D?) world filled with weapons - and a bunch of squishy Pythagoreans that want to stop you!.. from stopping them. Its umm, ok let’s back up.
So, the Pythagoreans want to reconnect the Number Line, but they’re sorta interpreting information they stole - so you know - kinda sketchy - its a whole thing, you’ll see. Talk to some of the characters, it’ll make sense. No math pop quizes, but you will need to think! There’s some different worlds and different permutations depending on how you break stuff, then reconnect it, then brake it again if you need to.
Find the rare missing Alogon pages from the Sacred Book of Math - err, not the count-y add-y stuff - the fun stuff! Traditional 2D pencil-test animations that help you interpret the story… depending on the interpretation of course!
In addition to the Story Mode you can also just battle your fellow humans in Battle Mode, or have them pop in to help you fight - maybe even as a squishy tofu shield! There’s also a Classic Mode where you battle waves of increasingly difficult enemies - stop talking and ship the game? OK, got it!
So, hope you enjoy it! Good luck fixing the broken Number Line Pythagoras broke. May your booleans always be true!

-
Choose from 3 Villages or become a Rogue Ninja

-
Open World PvP & Hardcore Game Design
This may be a turn off for some, but Nin Online is a very hardcore game. So take this as a word of warning… Absolute freedom when it comes to PvP also means a bad time for some with a low tolerance for being killed for no reason. But for others, it’s just another reason to get stronger in this harsh Ninjaverse.
-
Deep Character Customization in the right places
Choose to be part of a clan, join an organization or sign a contract with an animal familiar. Combined with thousands of equip-able items, no two ninja will ever look or be the same. Nin Online is a game where you are encouraged to express yourself. Looking good doesn’t cost you to lose fights.
-
Friendly and active community & developers
The greatest feature of Nin Online is it’s tight knit community. The developers are active in our chat channels and have been constantly listening to feedback improving it since it’s release. The game is still in active development with updates being made on a weekly and sometimes daily basis.

Saboteur SiO
I should have played the first Saboteur game in the series so I had an idea as to how the levels were like. For those who buy this game bear in mind that the first level is maze-like and there is no map system to help you navigate. If that appeals to you and you like games with no hand-holding and like to explore then you might enjoy this third entry in the Saboteur series. I’m hoping that as I play further the other levels are more action-packed with more linearity. Otherwise, the graphics are appealing, just play it with the retro graphics option. And the music is awesome. I’m spoiled because I’ve played metroidvainias so I’m used to seeing a map.

Mixed feelings, too much of an arcade for a Saboteur title to the point of exhaustion, even in the easy mode; at least until you learn the tricks of each level.
Also I disagree with the way of handling the endings, let’s say that to get the good-ending you have to do a literally “perfect” run; in my opinion, that’s a bit unfair…
Plot wise, there are a few hints about what’s going on but also many things are left open for speculation; that’s not bad at all though.
Graphics and sound-wise, it’s just fine; however I think the Amstrad CPC graphics mode is a bit unfair to the overall capabilities of the machine (while that’s a bit debatable though..)

Sky Sanctuary
When to buy and when not to buy?
If you don’t like reading, check out our video of this review:
Sky Sanctuary is a beautiful archipelago where you can play all kinds of different Samurai mini games. As the game is in early access, there are only a few things to do at the moment.
-
Japanese wood cutting (Tameshigiri)
-
Bow and arrow skill training (Kyudo with 3 modes)
-
and there is a sandbox zone where you can use/try out several Samuari weapons like Shurikens and smoke screen balls.

When I first saw this game I couldn’t help thinking of similar sword slicing VR titles like Fruit Ninja or Katana X, and wondering what would make this game stand out from its competitors. But actually, Sky Sanctuary is probably the more padded out game of the three by presenting itself as a tongue-in-cheek samurai and ninja training game. So whereas chopping things with a katana is an element of all three games, that’s just one component of Sky Sanctuary’s full experience, also offering the ability to walk around the small floating island, shoot a bow, and mess with ninja type goodies like smoke bombs, shurikens and fire staffs. Both the sword and bow experiences are essentially ranked mini-games, with the option to also just mess around the island with them.

Ninja Outbreak
Released last September but recently making an appearance on the new releases list on Steam, Ninja Outbreak is a step back into gaming’s past. The game’s pixel graphics, the way in which it tells its story, its presentation and its sound remind me of the type of games that I played on the Commodore 64. As an occasionally proud retro gamer this can be a very good thing. In the case of Renegade Sector Games’ title I have to admit to being more than a little torn. In a number of ways I am deeply attracted to the game yet in others I feel detached and questioning whether I made the right choice in featuring the game.

Ninja Outbreaks is one of those games that is a slow burn. There are mechanics that will definitely frustrate you at first, but once you get a better understanding of how things work within the game, you’ll enjoy it a lot more. You may have to redo your entire playthrough because of how badly you messed up. But you end up playing better and conserving your limited resources.
Who knew that encountering ninjas would take on a sci-fi horror feel, but here we are. It works.

Shadow of the Road
Will you choose a disgraced ronin who’s lost his purpose in life, but finds hope in the most unexpected of places? Or perhaps a lost boy, destined to control the lives of many? An avatar of death who lives for love? You will find yourself in all these roles, and more.
The Boshin War is tearing Japan apart as the forces of the Emperor and the Shogunate clash in endless battles of attrition. Neither side will yield, neither will surrender, because they fight for something much more important than land or power – a place in history and the future of the Empire.
This turn-based tactical RPG places you in Japan at the bitter and bloody end of the feudal era. Your enemies are many, from implacable samurai to bizarre yokai from the Ne-no-kuni realm to the relentless steampunk mercenaries of the East Nippon Company, a British trade conglomerate with dubious intentions. Your decisions will directly shape the outcome of the story – stay true to your principles or choose the path of betrayal. Haunt or be haunted. Dispel the encroaching shadows by sword, gun, or spellcraft, or let them consume you. The choice is yours – it always has been, even if you cannot comprehend it yet.
MAIN CHARACTER? NO – A TEAM OF MAIN CHARACTERS
Take on the role of a master strategist and become an entire team of characters with a variety of backgrounds and skills, each with their own motivations, desires, and fears… and set them on the path that best serves you.
DIFFERENT ROADS, DIFFERENT OUTCOMES
In combat and on the road, your every choice will push your characters onto different paths. Your decisions determine who they become and whether they will build new bonds, abandon lifelong friendships or rebuild family ties.
STORY STRATEGIST, COMBAT TACTICIAN
The complex web of your team members’ goals and relationships also influences their battles. Prove that you can take advantage of the strengths – and weaknesses – of your team, for if you fail, your allies will not survive to see the end of the tale.
SHADOW OF THE ROAD
Only one thing is certain: every road you take will cast a shadow upon the lives of many. Choose wisely and discover what lies at the end of your own unique path.

It is a really good game! You need to have perseverance, because it usually doesn’t work the first time, but when it does, it is very rewarding.
