There is a lot of thing that I would like to say, so I’ll try to keep it brief.
Here are some question from new players who I’ve heard a lot:
Is the Learning Curve steep?
Yes. It not just a learning curve, but a learning cliff, on fire and covered in bears. It would take quite some time to get used to the mechanics of the game.
The tutorials only teach the absolute basics (e.g. its (proprietary) build mode controls and AI programming). For new players, Only finish the first section of it and go experiments with the designer yourself. Expect some ragey moments at this stage as it will bombard you with an insane amount of content (even with over 1000+ hours, I’m still considered quite new by FtD’s community standards). Fortunately, the FtD community have very experienced people who are ready to help you if any problem arises (as long as you don’t say the game as a whole sucks), so I advise you join the Official FtD Discord server as most activities happen there.

Small co-op station game.
1 submarine, 2 players, 4 stations (steering, weapons, scanner, smelter), 1 level. essential, this feels like a minimalist version of Catastronauts that is also less exciting. You navigate the deep looking for keycards and scrap metal while fending off laser sharks, and when you enter the enemy base, it turns out they’re in another castle, and the game ends. Mind you, the concept isn’t that bad, and if the devs had put some effort into making a campaign and different enemies, it could be a lot better; but as it is, If you want to do couch co-op, I recommed springing for a better game that has more variety.

I Am the Captain Now
I’ve had a lot of fun playing this with my husband and daughter. We love being able to work together, make mistake, give each other orders, and just goof off. You basically need to collect treasure, but each level is different on how you collect them; following clues or just dexterity.
Definitely take a look into it!

Cute little pirate game with a unique spin on co-op. First level the captain ran away and left the rest behind. We demoted him in the next voting. The next level the captain was much more considerate and really tried to get everyone to like him. But that made us too slow and we failed the mission so we demoted him too. The further into the game we came the better collab we had, but there also showed up more opportunities to steal votes and pact. In the end no one trusted anyone, which was hilarious. Cool concept, cute graphics and definitely worth the low price. Recommended.
