VoxFox
I got my $0.92 USD out of this game, but it has a lot of problems …
VoxFox is a very simplistic game, and becomes boring quickly … from the way it plays, it’s a ‘shovelware’ type of game. To be honest I would recommend a game called ‘SimLife’ instead of VoxFox.
Some issues I noticed:
1: frame rate problems, despite being simplistic .
2: trees, rocks, and other items stack on top of each other when placed in the same tile
3: unlimited ‘homes’ can be placed in the same tile, despite the animals not being able to come out

Beetle Uprising
-
Very cute.
-
Very relaxing.
-
The evolution system is realistic.
-
You can feel the power growing.
-
Kind of dislike the fact that we must kill our own beetles.
-
Don’t be too boldy. It is a relaxing game. Not a “Conquer as quick as possible” game.
-
You end up with a mess on the floor.
-
Decorations are useless and lack of potential.
-
Kind of annoying how the inventories work. Lack of organization. Annoying to navigate.
Conclusion :
I am really not sure if this game is supposed to be beautiful or efficient…

While at this time it is still in early access, this title has a lot going for it even with some of the drawbacks.
Its a nice little management game with some real time tactics for the combat, that grows in depth once you start playing around with the genetics to improve your combat abilities. You go from simply looking at your highest stat numbers and trying to combine them, into looking at the genetic tree of your particular units then breeding based off that to improve on your entire gene pool, which does lead into one aspect of the game that needs some work in my opinion at this stage as you spend a lot of time just sat there, combining genes then throwing the inferior beetles into a blender to make room for the next set.

Chrysalis
Chrysalis is a hybrid tower-defense/survival RPG set in a world of natural mythology, with an emphasis on procedural generation, customizability, and replayability. Play the role of an incorporeal Wisp tasked with defending a magical chrysalis against forces of corruption and darkness. Search for resources and enlist the aid of friendly plants and animals as you explore each randomly generated level. Fend off waves of monsters, with each level offering new challenges, specialized wave types, procedurally generated bosses, and more.
Key Features:
-
Symbiosis: take control of any friendly plant or animal in the game.
-
Metamorphosis: level up your creatures and plants, transform them into more powerful versions, and apply elemental Spirits for further customization.
-
Mutation: a complex mutation system combines different species to create new creatures with unique sets of abilities and metamorphoses.
-
Customization: at the beginning of each playthrough, you choose a Chrysalis that caters to a specific style of play, with unlockable abilities that increase your power as you progress. By defeating waves of monsters, you will earn Boons which grant additional passive or active abilities, offering further ways to enhance your controlled creatures.
-
Modability: add new creature and plant species, abilities, art, and more by simply editing text files and dropping your images into the appropriate folder. Specific instructions and documentation will be forthcoming.
守卫魔兽-Guardian of Warcraft
No english reviews so I thought I’d write one.
Game is pretty basic but is a ton of fun. You defend a giant slime through over 15 decently designed maps. It plays like an active tower defense game. You can summon creatures to move around and defend the slime, as well as build a variety of stationary towers to attack nearby enemies.
The translation is REALLY rough, basically google translate, but fortunately you don’t really need to read anything in this game so it doesn’t matter.
It’s also not well balanced either. The first few levels will require you to grind them to level up and unlock new summons and tower upgrades. My best advice would be to max out the ice tower and the teleporter since they seem to be the most effective towers. But once you can clear level 4 you can pretty easily clear the rest of the game

Ardarium
nice world/weather/civ simulator.
Enjoyable to just watch

For a couple of dollars it’s a worthwhile experience. Just turn it on and let it go while you are working or doing something else and occasionally note how the world is changing.
I would like to see some more options to adjust the frequency of events or even turn some of them off, but even without them it’s fairly entertaining.
Quick warning: If you set the tiles to 40x40 it can take a toll on your frame rate. If that bothers you for this type of game (slow panning, laggy gameplay, etc.) you’ll want to keep it below 900 tiles^2

VR Basketball Hoops
‘VR Basketball Hoops’ is pretty much what you are probably expecting it to be. It’s a hoop scoring game in which you get to pick one of 5 locations (Classic basketball court, space, Beach, Pyramid and a Night Club) and you can play 3 kinds of modes on each of them: Arcade (classic score hoops until you are board, but the basket keeps teleporting about the arena after each shot), Timeline (a set amount of time to score as many as you can) and moving which of course sees the basket hoop constantly moving back and forth. . There is nothing much wrong with this game and nothing right with it as well. Yes, it looks OK and has some fun environment, but it’s too hard, it’s full of bugs and there are far better basketball games out there most of which are for free. It’s worth a look for something silly to play for 5 minutes I suppose, but you just about get what you pay for here which is not a lot. Once again I do wish I could give this a natural rating, but it just about works and is too cheap to give it the thumbs down on.
