Compost
A fun little game that is a mix of tower defense and critter simulation.
There are many various critters in the game with each type having their own behavior and priorities,
some being peaceful, some preying on other types of critters, some plants having different ways to spread, some critters eating specific plants and so on, which makes for a surprising amount of artificial intelligence in the game.
You don’t control anything directly but instead are given power to generate a breeze that gently pushes stuff around.

This is a great game! A retro style with a current social feel! Some things I like about it:
1. It feel like playing one of my arcade machines
2. Who doesnt want their garden to thrive?
3. The game is explained just enough that makes you think about what you need to do in order for your garden to stay healthy
4. While there are not tons of critters/plants/baddies to understand its great fun learning how they all interact and what they do
I really do enjoy playing this game and look forward to the next round of mouse clicking madness! (thank goodness for pause!)

Frog struggles
I enjoyed the short time to finish the game. The game is beautiful looking and very charming but sometimes the fruit mechanics can be frustrating. It can be difficult to pick up the fruit and only works on occasion. Other than that the game is great.

Fast because it’s short. Difficult because of poor physics and controls.
This is one of the buggier Sokpop titles I’ve played - and I don’t mean in terms of insects.
Every surface in this game either sticks to and immobilizes you, or allows you to clip straight through. The fruit you gather only triggers the automatic pick-up mechanic about half the time - and then, in half of those instances, your legs will simply hold air, and be unable to pick up anything else until you fly over a leaf deposit area.

A great game, I would say it is definitely not for everyone, but super fun arcade style game. A lot of replayability making it worth the cost in my opinion.

Nature And Life - Drunk On Nectar
First time ever making a review and it’s for an unassuming, obscure little Early-Access game called Drunk on Nectar. I feel it’s fitting; I love insects and arachnids ever since I was a kid and I’ve always wanted a game like this to come into fruition. Now that it’s finally here….
I LOVE it. A lot.
At this current point in time, the game has three modes to choose from.
Creature Quest issues challenges for the player to complete in as quick a time as possible for a spot on the leaderboard.

This game is a pretty accurate simulation of the life of an insect. Of course, the game isn’t perfect. It doesn’t have a huge team developing it, but it is still one of the most accurate insect simulators you can find. Heck, even the flora have a crude lifecycle! There are educational elements to the game as well, though nothing like extra homework or anything, just explanations of what is going on with the insect at the time, or what the game mechanics represent. This game is very smooth for its version, and definitely has re-playability.

Day Island
Honestly a really smoothly made game- it’s slick and nice to control- with little bugs to show for. The difficulty really ramps up at the harder difficulties (duh) and it actually poses a serious challenge at the hardest. Took me a few too many tries- but in the end I finally won. And I just love the sound design on it- nothing feels out of place, and the timing on the music- shifts really adds a punch upon completion of a battle- like the guitar riff on ending a boss battle. The music is phenominal too!

A decent, if short game. I found it decent for the price.
Part of a set of games, that all follow the same style, with mostly only what characters are available, and the scenery seeming to change (rather like the Street Fighter series)
The gameplay involves moving from one room to another, with a fight in each room.
The mechanics involved in that are explained early on and clearly.
Most rooms you fight a single enemy, some you fight two.
Most of the gameplay focuses on learning the attack patterns of each enemy, while focusing more on dodging than attacking, as there is no time limit to any fight I have seen.

Terra Atlantis
This is a lovely little relaxation game. I really like the aesthetics of the levels. My only real complaint is that the aim reticle doesn’t quite line up with where the bullets go. I found myself purposefully aiming below what I was shooting at.

Really good game, great graphics for what they’re going for and good difficulty. The only thing I’d say is bad is that the game doesn’t have a save feature after you finish the tutorial, or finish any level. Adding this feature would make this game excellent.

BearHammer
NOTE: Got it during the winter sales, a few days after the first release. I write this review for the first version of the game, which is at the beginning stage of early access.
I’ve followed the development of this game since a little more than a year on youtube. I think its promissing, and even if the content is quite limited for no, its still very fun.
You have to trhow your hammers to fend off multiple waves of enemies. You can either go to wave 20, which is very challenging (just go to wave 7 for now), or choose to play an endless mode.

I wasn’t sure about the physics of this game at first but it turned out to be pretty fun. Sending those toads flying was great. It was overall a challenging game and the sound effects had us all laughing.
The graphics could use a bit of improvement but the game has time of day changes which are pretty cool.
Great game for the price.

Bird Game
It’s a simple by design, but very hard game. So if you want to just get a game for 1 evening to “just relax” this is not game for you.
But if you want some hardcore flying simulation with 2 bosses, each of whom has 30+ different attacks (no joke) and who by the end kill you with 1 hit, if you want that kind of old-school gameplay - this is game for you.
Pros:
1. Game is very challenging, and bosses are great. Levels are nicely designed too.
2. Music is fitting.
3. Graphics are also neat, you can choose between normal view and negative (my choice btw).

It’s a bit of a challenge to describe how I feel about Bird Game. It seems at once heavily influenced by many games yet novel. Simultaneously relaxing and challenging. Playful, yet serious. Thoughtful, but occasionally, quite flawed. The way it finds a balance in its contrasting elements is so artful that it hurts to be disappointed by its shortcomings.

Flutter Bombs
This was a very good game - colorful graphics and addicting gameplay, it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys twin stick shooters. To be fair this game can be very difficult, especially if you play it alone, so because of it’s difficulty I was not too fond of the game myself. But it is very charming and challenges players to keep trying, even when they fail. You can see gameplay in my video here: https://youtu.be/J9hGuSUWOe4
