What Comes After
What Comes After is a short and touching side-scrolling visual novel which succeeds in sending an impactful message through only a few words. It’s a reminder that the lives of each and every one of us matters, be that of a human, of an animal or of a plant. It gives a soft nudge towards understanding that we can make life better by being kind, compassionate and considerate towards each other, and that changing the world starts by changing yourself, by bettering yourself.

I tried to play this game on stream for my community, but I admit that I was only able to get through about 20 minutes before deciding it was a game to play offline for myself. I’m glad that I decided to play it offline because I felt that it was an intimate, emotional journey that I need to go at my own pace.
I will stress that is an emotional journey, and could potentially be triggering depending on your head-space - the game deals with a lot of heavy topics such as mental health (depression, anxiety, etc.), deaths (or near death experiences), and the meaning of life. Conversations were difficult at time, but I think that it was worth pushing through to see the final message.

Who’s in the Box?
Costing a whopping 3,29€, this small game has lots of tags - black humour, casual, puzzle, 2D.. yet, it has only negative reviews.
They are actually right - the game is a fully guided hidden object one, that can easily be finished within twenty minutes. Five minutes if you follow a Steam guide.
You will play in literally A SINGLE screen, i.e.: a single MS Paint wallpaper throughout the whole game - there’s a big wooden box and lots of items around it. Nothing else, the game hasn’t even got a menu.

Despite the store tags, Who’s in the Box is not really a hidden object game, but more of a single hidden object scene. The whole gameplay happens inside one location - a room with a box in the middle, surrounded by shelves full of various objects. There is a character hidden inside the box, and he will successively ask you to find certain items, without specifically naming them. Instead, he will attempt to describe them via a funny text, outlining their purposes which ultimately are supposed to lead towards his escape from the box.

Hidden Office
Ok so, I was waiting for the game from the moment I saw the trailer and I absolutely am not disappointed! I really liked the style - the feeling of playing Animal Crossing: calm but uplifting soundtrack and meditative gameplay. I think the game will last for 2-3 hours, and maybe more, depending on how you play. Great for relaxing an hour before bed. I think the game is totally worth the money. On the very first day, I almost collected the entire collection of cards with cats. I liked the shader on the cards! The developer replies fast. Quickly rolled out the first bug fix. Overall, I do recommend this game! By the way, the game is safe for children.

Hidden Office is a hidden-object game within 12 different scenes/environments, with most of them depicting an office setting. It’s not the best HOG but it’s also not terrible, somewhere between “playable and fun” and “I wish I had more QoL features.” The game is played entirely with a mouse and took me about 2.5 hours to complete, so buy at your own discretion, know that.
