Stardander School for Witches

Pretend
So yesterday I was eating with my family when all of a sudden a “crew mate” broke in through the front door. He had a ski mask on and a gun which was sus, but he a good skin. My father told us all to hide so we don’t get killed by the obvious imposter. I could see him from my hiding spot under the table and he looked sus. So I told my dad “DAD YOU THINK HE IS THE IMPOSTER? HE IS SUS!” I yelled as loud as I could. The imposter found us hiding and shot my father five times. The imposter was so dumb, who kills someone in front of crew mates? I ran to call the emergency meeting by grabbing my phone off the table when I heard my mother get shot and scream for me. Lol she was so bad at among us. My teammates sucked and were dying to the worst Imposter. So I called the emergency meeting and for some reason a S.W.A.T team rammed down the door and killed the imposter. Lol that’s not how the game goes, I think they were hacking.

Feign
It makes you feel the fun of making rp with the taste of Town of salem. While such games are usually complex, you can understand the story of all the roles from the first round in Feign. Even if you don’t have friends, you can enter random rooms and mingle. The audience is not toxic, on the contrary, it is sincere.

This game is stressful if you only speak English. Every room I join ends up with me getting kicked, when I say nothing at all. I’ve only played a few games, on the 2nd day of launch. I have many hours TRYING to play this game. Key word is trying, haha. Out of all the hours my playtime says I’ve played this game, I’ve only had about 30 minutes playing the actual game. It’s just not worth it unless you speak Turkish or whatever language dominates this game. It’s sad, because other than that this is a great game.

The Magister
I really liked this game (after I completed it for all difficulties,
I updated my review).
Basically you are the magister/witcher and you are sent to a city
to investigate the murder. The game consists of four parts:

investigation of the murder (procedural puzzle)

tactical fighting with enemies (simplified heroes 3)

deck-building for diplomacy (simplified ascension)

leveling/customizing your heroe to be able to solve all challenges (see 1, 2, 3)

Like the investigation games of the 90s…
This game reminds me of Grim Fandango and The Secret of Monkey Island from the 90s. It basically involves you running all over the place (from location to location), whilst trying to solve a mystery. You also occasionally encounter enemies that you have to battle, and the battles are your typical TRPG grid-based battles, but you use a card mechanic similar to Slay the Spire.
Pros: #1. TRPG fans will like the combat
#2. You don’t always HAVE to fight… most of the times you can talk it out

This is a port from the version of the game with the same name, which released on PlayStation platforms back in 2016.
Story summary
You arrive as a new transfer student at Kurenai Academy in Shinjuku. During your introductions to the class, you get a strange question from one of your classmates - Masamune Shiga.

Tokyo Twilight Ghost Hunters Daybreak Special Gigs is one of those games where you try and try to find excuses for their faults, but at some point, these excuses just get smothered by the abysmal amount of issues.
Honestly, the controls are the least of its problems, although they are genuinely awkward at first. It took me about an hour to get used to them, and I had no issues afterwards. If you’re used to switching between platforms, your PS4/5 controllers and your friend’s xbox controller, have played 2-player games on a single keyboard as a child - getting used to odd controls shouldn’t be an issue. Also, if the game is good, it’s not even worth the mention.

A breath of fresh air in the current gaming climate! Story and character based game kind of like Disco Elysium, albeit shorter. Big game world, a lot of interaction and different ways to solve the crimes. Some tips I would give to new players:
spec your character right away, you have like 8 points and you have to manually enter each one. A bit unintuitive but you can get the hang of it. Be sure to add your 2 new points after every murder solved. humor and charm go a long way when talking to NPCs.
