Chernobyl inferno

Chernobyl inferno

After the disaster at Chernobyl Atomic Power Station, many locals hid from radiation in underground shelters, canalization, houses basements and other underground units. They had been living underground for several years being afraid to go out. In some years radiation got through the ground, people started to mutate, chaos under the ground had begun. As a result of the mutation, some people became aggressive and started to hunt other people. After 30 years one boy called Jack penetrated Chernobyl territory to film a video and make some photos. When he entered the old house, the floor under his feet collapsed and he fell into the sewers of the very dungeon in which the mutated inhabitants of Chernobyl lived. He managed to send you a message asking for help, after which he never got back in touch. Your main goal is to find your brother, who got lost in the catacombs of Chernobyl.

Mostly Intense Monster Defense

Mostly Intense Monster Defense

this is a steal of a product

if you ever miss the original style of pvz this is 100% a game for you,it has the same great feel that i have come and love

but this isnt just a clone as it has fewer towers enemies and a single stage

but what this game lacks in quantity its gives back in harder gameplay and THE WHEEL

the wheel basically allows you to switch the types of attack for each tower some attacks being good against some enemies and bad against others this forces the player to always be engaged with the game by constantly having to switch attacks based on the enemies at all times instead of just putting your defense and leaving the game to do the rest

Mostly Intense Monster Defense is, obviously, a PvZ clone. And at first you could easily think there are no real addition than just a sunflower clone and a peashooter clone. However, this game got a Tactic Wheel wich changes everything, being able to change how some towers changes like the Skelly (Peashooter clone) can either shoot bones from the top or the bottom, the bottom being able to attack small ennemy and hit weaknesses of other ennemies. Wich sounds awesome, however the tactic wheel only works on 4 of the 6 towers in game, and yes there are only 6 towers in this game with only 2 being kinda original being the Dark Mage and the Goblin. Now the biggest problem in my opinion is the balance, with only 16 levels wich is kinda short (PvZ having 50 levels and a lot of minigames after the adventure), the Dark Mage is kinda not that good. You can either shoot fireballs dealing a bit more damage than skeletons or iceballs dealing pretty bad damage but slows down ennemies a bit, and honestly sometimes putting a skeleton instead of a dark mage is worth it. Also the ennemies can be unfair sometimes too. The Cowboy guy in particular, that can jump over defenses and deal good damage, and in the final levels it almost becomes mindless spamming of towers hopping not to be overrun. So, Mostly Intense Monster Defense isn’t a bad game, nor is it a great game. It’s decent and I had fun playing it, kinda sad that only in 2 hours the game is finished and all I can do is replay campaign levels or that survival mode that after wave 20 it becomes nightmare simulator. So, a solid 12/20. Play it if you want to have a bit of fun, however just how some achievements are insanely rare (even the “Finish the campaign” one is below 10%) you probably ragequit if you’ve got bad temper.

Out of Oblivion

Out of Oblivion

Showed a lot of promise, there is a a part of the game where you have to survive a horde of zombies - which seems near impossible to accomplish. Save your money.

I can recommend the game. Good horror atmosphere that keeps you in suspense. The story could be a bit better but it is quite fair for this price.

Game is a 7 out of 10 for me the creator definitely improved on it from naginata your sprite is still thicc compared to the enemies but I don’t believe your noggin in this game has near the girth of the geisha from naginata. I like that he added an upgrade system for your weapon in this one where when you get special move bar filling items your shot upgrades and if you take damage you lose it pretty nice reward for not taking damage. Bat form is so much better than jumping as well it can be irresponsive at times for reasons I couldn’t pinpoint but it’s a DEFINITE imrpovement to jumping in naginata. The special move in this SUCKS terribly compared to naginata. Stage 3 is soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo long and one thing that would take this game a long way is instead of focusing on making the game more difficult by making stages longer and adding a greater number of enemies would be adding different mechanics for enemy attacks quality quantity. Another change that would be super beneficial in this game but possibly a lot of work would be some kind of upgrade shop where you can unlock different attacks, special skills, etc. it would add replay value and just make the game a whole lot more entertaining. Definitely glad the creator made improvements though!

Update: So, I was able to play again, and was doing rather well now that I understand what to do and how to do it. It was nice after a certain stage that when I died I could reload and try again from the same point, and not have to completely start over. Unfortunately, the game froze again and the character stopped responding to the controls. This really needs to be fixed because the only thing to do at that point is to close down the game which just makes me not want to play again. So until this issue is fixed, I cannot change my rating. Once that issue is fixed, I will change my rating from “No, I do not recommend,” to, “Yes, I recommend this game.”

Rescue Operation

For the price I paid for this game? it is SO worth it!!

It’s a bit of a throwback to the days of Far Cry and FEAR… both of those wrapped up into one. It has elements that obviously feel like an indie game but that’s not always a bad thing :) It is on rails… yes… no open world. It uses health kits only for healing like in the days of Quake and Quake II. But the atmosphere is oppressive… the level design may not be quite to the level of “inspired” but it’s very creative and not at all repetitive. The music is excellent! Definitely sets the mood. The game was obviously written by not English speaking coders but the story is pretty much the same as usual… “we need you to go into the secret base and find out what happened.” Not important. Lots of different guns, and all feel VERY real with good animation and very realistic sound effects. The enemies are challenging without being bullet sponges… the game chooses tactics and execution over raw power or pre-scripted “run around and click all the switches” boss fights and I very much appreciate that.

Resque Operation

Positives:

  • its short

  • some parts are ok

  • the sound and atmosphere is okay

Negatives:

  • bad graphics and view distance

  • extremely slow movement

  • you cant run and shoot at the same time

  • a lot of bugs, some almost game breaking

  • jumping height is to low and buggy

  • the monsters are bad

  • the last level is too hard

I didnt have the greatest expectations, even though a lot of people was positive to this game.

Unfortunately I have to say, it wasnt any good.

Sure the idea is okay, and some elements work.

Dungeons & Bombs

Dungeons & Bombs

A neat, little sokoban puzzle platformer game with crates and bombs as the title suggests. Go through the various levels and rescue the hot bearded princess. Difficulty-wise, it varies nicely over the course of the game with the 50 or so levels getting slightly harder as it progresses. New additions of obstacles makes it fresher and keeps it fun. The puzzles themselves does get you thinking with having to make the moves taken within the levels matter in order to proceed and reach the end of the levels. From alternating pop-up spikes to various dungeon monsters, there are a lot of things to face. Of course, with there being bombs, bombs and more bombs, there are a ton of explosions. Visually, it looks quite cute with the little characters and design of the game. The music and audio is also a great combination with the arcadey and retro type which makes it kinda feel more oldschool. Price is cheap enough being only a dollar, after having a price reduction, so it is worth a try for those interested in a cute, little puzzle game. Those into the sokoban genre is also in for a treat. So overall, is nice little buy.
