Koma is a confusing, both in a bad and a good way.

First the game seems to have some optimisation issues. Even on my Ryzen 9 XT and Nvidia 2800 Super, I had some lags and micro freezes, usually when loading a new area.

Also, sometimes I felt some issues regarding of the usual rules of game design in the way to indicate you the path. Combined with the fact that you can glitch the camera trough the walls, and sometimes yourself, it result in situations where you don’t know exactly what you’re supposed to do or where to go. I completly understant the goal to make you feel lost in this strange world and I like that, but sometimes I just felt lost because of confusing game design. It reminded me it was a game and kinda breaked the illusion.

Einar - Loki’s Traps

Einar - Loki’s Traps

The player controls everything with keyboard and mouse, being a very simple and intuitive interaction.

The game screen is totally clean without an interface, where the player can focus directly on the character and the traps the game offers.

In a dangerous environment, where your death is served on a silver platter to the gods and your chances of staying alive are pure fun for them.

With countless obstacles and puzzles between you and your goal, reaching the end becomes challenging, even in the simplest of things.

Survive in this puzzle adventure game and prove to Loki that you are worthy of a second chance.

With easy commands, well-crafted puzzles and lots of challenges, Einar is a simple game, but it takes a lot of time and is guaranteed fun, or not!

The main difference is the mix of obstacles and puzzles and a camera move where the angle will help a lot, especially in puzzles.

If you want something different and challenging, then give this indie game a try and have fun.

Moxina

Moxina

This was a good game. It was pretty short only around 30 or so minutes to complete so that is a downside for the price of $5 but not a deal breaker. It gave me some decent scares and was pretty creepy. The story also kept me engaged enough to play through it entirely. It definitely wasn’t super polished but overall I would still recommend. Typical Steam horror shovelware, sadly. I was interested in the hazy atmosphere and very beautiful palette. I tried to excuse the copy/paste enemies teleporting in front of my face as their only method of attack, but then during my only two attempts it broke halfway through each time. When trying to cross a large bridge it would fade into white and then become only interactable with via alt f4. There’s potential for the ideas here, this just doesn’t scratch it.

Confusing, bewildering, nonsensical and not particularly scary. Save your money.

Pretty good game. It was for sure weird but was interesting and gave some good scares. I only wish it gave more direction on what to do cause if you are stuck on something there are no hints or anything to help you out. Overall for the price I would say it’s worth checking out. D100 Dungeon Computer Companion

D100 Dungeon Computer Companion

Hello! And thank you for checking out this review. Before we get to the main body of the review for the D100 Dungeon Computer Companion I feel I should make a few things known:

I play a good bit of D100 Dungeon in pencil and paper form.

I make overview, review, and tip videos covering D100 Dungeon on YouTube.

I purchased this product with the intent of spending a good bit of time with it and writing a review.

I value my time and money.

All that being said, lets begin:

The D100 Dungeon Computer Companion is a program that essentially automates and tracks the D100 Dungeon Solo Adventure Game experience to include fully managing the player’s Adventure sheets, Map, Combat Encounters and all dice and Table rolls. The program also guides a player step by step through each phase of a turn. With a D100 Dungeon Solo Adventure Game core rule book for reference and the D100 Dungeon Computer Companion app, a player is able to run a digital D100 Dungeon experience.

Although I’ve seen several negative comments, so far this has worked really well for me. I usually have the pdf open of the game so I can look up monsters or treasure or whatever is needed. I like that you can move windows around and drag/drop them. It really takes the load off the bookkeeping which I think is awesome. Given I have every hardback book for D100 Dungeon, I hope they continue development to add in the adventure companion and other supplements later. Well done!

Adventure Minesweeper

Adventure Minesweeper

Mixed recommendation. It’s casual minesweeper-style game, with several, fixable issues.

Imagine Minesweeper, except instead of mouse, you walk on the map and turn tiles. Turning a mine will result in a health-loss. Also, there are stones (impreachable points) and food (healing). Find all non-mine spots and you find the exit.

That’s Adventure Minesweeper as a concept and in a nutshell.

Does it work?

Idea is actually alright. It introduces some deviations from the regular Minesweeper tactics.
