FACE MONSTROUS CREATURES
Throughout your journey you will fight against an array of creatures, from at first seemingly harmless slimes to monstrous trees that can walk, to horrors that come from the darkest depths. Dodge traps and find unexpected allies, where danger lurks around every corner.
FAST TRAVEL THROUGH THE MUSHROOM TUNNELS
In Darkest Valley there is little need to backtrack. Each area contains a mysterious enoki-like waypoint that acts as a portal and can be used to instantly teleport you from one area to another. If you die, you can simply teleport back to the latest waypoint and continue on your journey.

TERA - Action MMORPG
After playing this game for roughly 4-5 years I can honestly say it’s my go to MMO. My main is a reaper which I like the rotations and skills used, it’s a class I find more unique then most other games online. At 1st I had a lot grps complaining about my dmg and my rotations and I actually thought I was playing my class properly. Truthfully though, I did some research, looked up the skills and rotations and found out that other players were correct and I was actually a terrible reaper.
But after sometime, research and putting skills in the correct area of the tool bar, I got better, much better. The game itself in all the years it’s been around has improved in some areas, considering how it used to be when I 1st started to now, you can see the developers put sometime into it and made things for the better in TERA.

It’s going to be F2P next week, so there is actually no reason not to play it. It is, after all, the MMORPG with the best Combatsystem (and the most beautiful as well… especially the Castanics. If you know what I mean. ;) ).
It’s more like a Hack n Slash with one of the Melee Classes. lol.
I can only recommend checking it out if you are into MMORPGs.

This recommendation is from January 2013, so take it with a grain of salt. I don’t know how it is now, what gameforge changed and if it’s good for those who play it without spending a dime.

Skitt
I want to first of all thank the developer for offering me a free evaluation key to his first game title here on Steam so that I could provide this review.
Unfortunately, that’s about all the thanks I can give this developer. I certainly can’t thank him for cobbling together a bunch of ultra cheap Unity store assets into the massive mess of a game he presents to the Steam store here. It’s a nightmare and asking a nickel for this game would be asking way too much for it.

Crystal Project
Explore the world, find Crystals, and fulfill the prophecy to bring balance to the land of Sequoia.
…Or maybe you’d rather spend your time collecting neat equipment and artifacts? Or tame strange creatures and fill out all the entries in your archive? Or perhaps you’d rather hunt down every monster and conquer the world’s toughest bosses. Or maybe you’d rather travel to the farthest reaches of the land and uncover the world’s greatest mysteries.
The choice is yours, as it should be! Or is it? They say that those who stray out of line will be punished, killed, or worse. Maybe it’s for your own good that you stick to collecting Crystals, just like everyone else. But where would the adventure be in that?

My life as an archeologist
Every run will help you go further in the archeological treasure hunt, in this clicker roguelite blending the simple mindless entertainment of the clicker with the ever-renewing fun choices of a roguelite, where every single decision can help you reach the final boss or hasten your demise.
With 60+ types of equipment and 60+ fully animated monsters to loot them from, you will be able to mold your character as you choose by improving a wide array of stats and gaining unique abilities!
Every single boss you slay, up to 10 per run, will let you choose one artefact from a pool of three. These artefacts will help specialize your character as you wish, by giving her attacks a chance to do explosive damage, allowing you to stop time, gain a ferocious turtle buddy, or a healing fairy to help you to deal just a bit more damage before you die.
Three classes to choose from every run:
-
The bulky zoologist: This heavy hitter knows the enemy’s weak point and specializes in deadly poison and survivability!
-
The cunning ethnologist: This ancient technology specialist knows how to maximize her results when using long forgotten machinery and managing her own energy to do it again, and again!
-
The never-alone theologist: Why attack enemies on your own when you can call on ancient spirits to do your dirty work faster while you relax?
Finally, even dying is not the end of the world! Every monster you kill during your run advances your research, and with enough coins you can even acquire some of their powers!
American Isekai Prologue
Really enjoyed this demo. The game, despite being clearly identified as a work in progress, is nonetheless a fun diversion. I’ve been playing this style of RPGs since the Apple IIc version of Might & Magic II: Gates to Another World and the OG Nintendo Final Fantasy I. I really enjoy learning new systems and progressing the story at my own pace; this game gives me the same sense of wonder and control over my own destiny in the game that those games that originally captured my imagination so many years ago.

Black Legend
This game is a rare gem, even though there are others like it. It’s true that it has gone through some rough stages, but if you like turn based tactics, this is a challenging title. Especially on higher difficulty, but unlike in the other similar games, the Ironman rules are not about the save scumming. You will die if you turn up that dial. That is certain.
You will only have one save and one goal, to survive. Luckily they don’t throw you in the deep end straight from the beginning, but you won’t be able to feel the bottom under your feet either. The encounters will start to come in fast, but if you’re into speedrunning, there is a sprint and you can find a way around the encounters. So anything is possible, but towards the end of the game, you will have to do some clashes.

I think when judging this game, it is best to keep expectations in check. This is from an indie developer and not a AAA one so there is a limited amount of time and money that can be put in a project. This naturally means some areas of the game will suffer and I am a bit more lenient regarding it.
My thoughts:
My first impressions of this game were actually very good. This is because I love the 17th Century period in general and was drawn to the turn based approach of this game. I have also wanted to play some of the classes present here in a game. The atmosphere of this game has been good along with how you can freely run around the city. The animations and designs, although not perfect and could do with some work, are still pretty impressive. I paid full price for the game and do not regret it as I do not find it disappointing or sloppy.

Rumours From Elsewhere
Deep and challenging platform action game attempting to meld Prince of Persia with a modern Roguelite. Momentum based platforming/parkour, ability based combat with character classes. Inspired level design, smooth controls, solid performance, excellent music, and imaginative worldbuilding are enough to carry the experience through a steep learning curve and significant UI deficiencies as well as occasional frustrating bugs (and sadistic gameplay systems that act like bugs).
I recommend this game if you like hard platformers with an emphasis on momentum rather than air control. Be warned, however, that the high-pressure gameplay involves features like a stamina bar (depletes with attack or dash but not jump or abilities), a timer on every level (which have randomized objectives), potions that do damage to you, weapons that kill you if you unequip them, monsters that CC you so other monsters can knockback you to the other side of the map where you fall in a lethal trap…you get the idea. This game is rewarding but punishing and a better UI would make it more comfortable.

This game is a lot of fun!
I love the look of the game, and it has a ton of character in everything you play as, kill, pick up, or read. Not to mention the sound design and music are great. Once I got used to the core mechanics, I was hooked and kept starting new runs to discover more about the game. Each of the characters feels unique, just as each of the areas are distinct, vibrant, and fun (except Misty Peaks, that place is agony).
On the downside, sometimes the platforming is just a little unwieldy. The jumping or dashing or platform grabbing seemed to occasionally glitch and caused me some significant frustration. This didn’t ruin the game by any means, but it did feel like an unfair game flaw that would crop up now and again. Also, here and there a hit box would be in dire need of updating.
