Geometric Feel the Beats

Geometric Feel the Beats

Loved the game! Remembers me of Space Invaders, but at the same time its quite different (in a great way). I’ve been playing for hours, the music is great and the game has a good pacing. Hope the developers make some sort of player for the musics within the game, it would be awesome. I certainly recommend this game!

Have you ever wondered what would be the mashup of Space Invaders with Tron’s neon lights and some well chosen music to spice it?

That would be Geometric Feel the Beats!

And knowing that the game hasn’t a game over is a relief! Because you can just relax destroying the amount of geometric figures that appears on the screen, with a mix of trying to maintain the score multiplier and raise your ranking! =]

Oh! That’s not all!

The released coop mode is a lot of fun! I enjoyed tracing an strategy with a friend to try to maximize our score! xD

How much of this game I’ve played: 12 Hours, 35 minutes

How I’ve played so much: I had a pre-ordered non-steam copy.

Completed Main story, not the super secret boss area.

Here’s why you’d be interested in this game: Good rhymes, good story, old school gameplay.

Good rhymes: If you haven’t heard of BeNeVoLeNcE, you might have heard of Mega Ran - he’s known for clean nerdcore rhymes over chiptune beats and melodies. Hip Hop by both is featured in the game, and it’s not an “afterthought” like it might be in some games - the music is interwoven in with the story - it’s actually rewarding to gain access to the rhymes that go along with the instrumentals in different parts of the game.

Levelhead

Whether you love designing levels or just love platformers in general this game is an instant buy! With a robust level editor, a system to get your level played, tight platforming, and endless content, this is the best Maker game ever made!

I originally purchased this game to help pass the time until Mario Maker 2, but was so amazed by the level editor I never left. From creating traditional platforming levels, to complex machines, the editor has almost unlimited potential. The editor is easy to learn, but extremely deep and robust to the allow for creating even the most complex contraptions.

Levelhead is the best level maker experience on the market.

Gameplay

Some describe it as a precision platformer, but it does not have to be. Even running around the most basic levels is enjoyable because the controls, character animations and sound design are spot on.

The main distinguishing gameplay feature is the grab/throw mechanic, which adds a ton of depth to the platforming and sets it apart from established franchises. The array of carry items can be used for platforming, puzzles, combat or even currency.
