Teenage Blob

Teenage Blob

Hello there Ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Mitch Larson, and I’m here to tell you about An awesome game called Teenage Blob.

This Game is brilliant. Let’s talk about it. The controls are fairly simple. you just use keyboard arrow keys and space bar etc. The controls are smooth. And the gameplay is really fun. There’s a lot of different minigames and there’s a lot of achievements for this game too.

Music gets a 10 out of 10 because the music in this game is absolutely stellar. Seriously, completely awesome music. Written and played by the SuperWeaks.

Finally, a game I can play as a blob.

Honestly, I never got to go to a concert. I know, lame, but I can’t help that my family couldn’t afford concert tickets back then anyway. The one concert I was actually able to attend actually got canceled at the last minute (totally not still salty). And now when we’re better off now, I live in a town where nothing happens and if I do want to attend something I’ll have to travel a long distance to just get there (my dreams of going to anime/gaming conventions are crushed). Well, if I was never able to go to a concert, I might as well go to one in a game.

Video of what this described.

don’t buy this.

I have no idea idk if this is some sort of meta joke, but this game is an abomination.

the graphics are ugly, there’s literally no UI - you walk tiny chibi characters to start the levels.

so the game is 6k sort of like Dj MAx respect.

the first song i tried had about 1100 notes. and went on for an eternity. There were mega advanced note patterns for the first song you’ll likely play as a player. 4+5 note at times, multiple times, in a row. But i never failed out; despite missing 360 notes, and it ran fine.

BeatBeat

BeatBeat

I received the full game for free through the “beat BeatBeat” Promo where if you beat the level “do my thing” on suffer you where given a free copy of the game (though you can not get it for free anymore but I bileave there will be future promotions, join the discord for more info), and I have, and will continue to, thoroughly enjoy it.

This game is difficult and doesn’t scale to well between the Resolve to Suffer difficulties (hard and super-hard), so be prepared. There is currently a level creating system were you can use your own music, create a level, and share it to steam for others to play. The level editor currently is pretty decent but I have not tested it out since any updates.

This game is actually incredibly fun, I highly recommend buying this game and supporting the people behind this because I can easily see this becoming the next big rhythm game.

How much of this game I’ve played: 12 Hours, 35 minutes

How I’ve played so much: I had a pre-ordered non-steam copy.

Completed Main story, not the super secret boss area.

Here’s why you’d be interested in this game: Good rhymes, good story, old school gameplay.

Good rhymes: If you haven’t heard of BeNeVoLeNcE, you might have heard of Mega Ran - he’s known for clean nerdcore rhymes over chiptune beats and melodies. Hip Hop by both is featured in the game, and it’s not an “afterthought” like it might be in some games - the music is interwoven in with the story - it’s actually rewarding to gain access to the rhymes that go along with the instrumentals in different parts of the game.

LOOM™

LOOM™

Loom is a fun and charming game with an interesting world and unique way of interacting it. Unfortunately, while this version does have voiced characters, some dialogue and scenes have been cut. I’d recommend the FM-Towns version run through ScummVM, which one can find with a quick google search if one wants a fuller experience. The EGA version is also the creator’s preferred version, which completely uncensored, so that version is recommended as well. Finally, listening to the audio drama, which is on YouTube, is also recommended to provide a bit more background on the world of Loom.

PROS: Mysterious and alluring world that is rich with lore. Interesting musical system, no hand-holding. Nice voice-acting.

CONS: First game of a planned trilogy that never came to fruition. Starting the first game to a project that’s been unfinished for around 25 years now may sound completely absurd to people who have never played Loom. Understandably so. Many different versions of Loom were released, and I’m disappointed to see that this was not a version cobbled together for the most content available.

A good game.

However I’ve played until 5055 points and then I hit a car.

When I looked for my achievements I didn’t win the 4 palm trees (pink & blue), the 2 stars and 2 music notes (pink & blue) and the letter K (pink).

ℝ 𝔼 𝕋 ℝ 𝕆 𝕎 𝔸 𝕍 𝔼

What a super chill game. :) I love its simplicity and it captures the retrowave aesthetic really nicely. This is 1980s personified. You can also unlock a Tesla Cybertruck in the game. I’m dead. ✖‿✖

I really do love the synthwave genre sooo YEA, good sh*t. They really captured the feel by making your screen look like a VHS being played on a CRT TV which is cool, ya know. Sooo, you basically just drive straight in a carefully crafted synthwave environment avoiding cars when you can. That’s all there is to it. Once you get decent at it, you can switch your brain into autopilot and just 𝕧 𝕚 𝕓 𝕖 out. The music is really wow.

Updated from Negative to Postive

As of Update 10 the huge pop in issue has been fixed with the inclusion of “viewing distance” option.

To be clear, the pop in IS still there, but it no longer hinders gameplay & is now only slightly noticeable when using some of the faster cars in the 3rd person or cockpit views.

The music no longer cuts out after you crash, but does cut off for a second if you restart the level.

Full controller support has also been added now too, which pretty much goes hand in hand with a game like this.

Synthesis Universe -Episode 00-

Definitely more than 15mn contrary to some reviews!

(More content was added after initial release)

Some users don’t pay attention and miss most of the experience.

This is not fast food, this is not a game or a thing you have to try to speed run.

Why not taking some slow time in there, relax and enjoy the show?

Many interactions are hidden, delicate and add replay value, there is even a secret ending.

This is not for everyone:

If you are a gamer in a hurry: don’t buy it.

If you are looking to be fully immersed surrounded by music and FXs, enjoy every polygons, music notes and pay attention to the cues and the cryptic story… then go for it.

A truly beautiful experience. The detail and the complexity of everything around you is so amazing, and the music makes it all come alive. Lots of genuine “wow” moments.

I can’t wait for what’s next in this universe.

Edit:

One tip for players is to look up in the “menu” area. I think you need to view the main story part first to unlock them, but there are three pentagonal flower shapes above you to the left and right that open up and take you to other scenes/modes. I had no idea until I read the store page that mentioned the added scenes. Anyway, I was very happy to discover this.

moon: Remix RPG Adventure

moon: Remix RPG Adventure

In 1997, the now legendary anti-RPG “moon” launched in Japan. Now, under the watchful eye of its original creators, it’s finally in English!

Have you ever felt it odd that the heroes of RPGs go around opening villagers' closets and stealing from them? Or that they travel the world indiscriminately killing all monsters they meet? This game looks at the RPGs we all know and love from a new perspective.

Story

One moon-lit night, a young boy is sucked into the depths of his television set.

He falls into a place called ‘Moon World’, and thus begins a search for love in order to recover the lost moonlight.

Here, the mighty hero of Moon World murders innocent animals for experience,

but the boy’s growth comes from saving the souls of the animals and gathering the love in the world.

Yes, in this game, you level up by loving, not fighting.

The inhabitants of this world are all unique. Observe their daily lives and learn where they hide their secret love.

“Now, please, open the door!”

An RPG without battles - Save the monster’s souls -

All the monsters killed by the ‘hero’ are actually just innocent animals. As you explore the game, you will encounter the bodies of these pitiful creatures. But, if the boy can catch their souls, they can be saved.

A living, breathing world! - Peek into the secret lives of the NPCs -

Moon World’s residents go about their routine lives, depending on the time and day. The florist goes to work in the morning, and the castle guards arrive at their posts. Some folks have secret midnight hobbies, and others just spend their days fishing.

MD System - Choose your own soundtrack -

In moon, you can choose your own music. By using the special music playing Moon Disc(MD) function which appears in the game, you can walk around the map listening to the tracks you like in the order you set them.
