Summoner’s Mess

Summoner’s Mess

Worth every cent (and much more) of its price, it’s very entertaining to discover the map and each unsuccessful run makes you go for another one to see how far can you go this time.

It has a really nice art direction, and the sound ambiance goes perfectly with the game. Just buy it, with that price it’s like a gift.

This is a very nice and interesting game, the graphics, the music, the mood… everything fits perfectly.

I really enjoyed playing it and doing all the possible endings. It is cool to be able to easily remember the rooms and little by little knowing all the place like it was my own house.

If you enjoy games where the progression is based on your own knowledge instead of unlockable skills, then give it a try!

The game gives you a proper amount of hours of game time given the fact that is super cheap!

Before I go into the rest of my review, this is my final word: Love.

Wow. This game did a lot of things well and successfully elevated my heartrate purely through artfully placed simple questions and atmosphere. Even the positioning of the question-asker and his design were unnerving.

You can see pretty quickly what the game is trying to accomplish, but it still throws you off guard. It is exactly what it says it is– a series of yes-or-no questions that range from “Do you prefer cats over dogs?” to “Do you feel like I know you yet?”

This game does not and cannot deliver what it promises.

Anyone who takes this quiz should familiarize themselves with the Forer effect, where people give high accuracy ratings to personality descriptions that are supposedly tailored to them. Such personality descriptions are vague enough that they could really apply to almost anyone, and people interpret the information to be more personal that it actually is. This test is an example of this effect.

I’ll use my own example to illustrate. After you answer all of the questions, the game will assign you a secret word, which supposedly represents something fundamental to your personality. The secret word it gave me was “love.” The game goes on to explain what that word means; for example, according to the game, I’m insecure: I don’t trust others and I don’t trust myself. That’s true, by the way; however, the game goes on to make a number of claims that could apply to just about anyone. In my case, it said:

Fun game.. JUSt Dont MISclick the Wrong Answer by mistake…ok, um ya, moving on…. this is the 3rd and best iteration of the game yet. This game is VERY similar to the first 2 games as are some of the questions… this is basically the original couple test games with a lot of nice touches and improvements as the test evolves. Best of the 3 I’ve played so far…

Same game as b4? Kinda… Worth playing if you have played the first 2? YESSIR!!!!…. Worth playing if you’ve never played a previous game in the series? YES…. basically same psychoanalysis tests as before but with many improvements and a better look as well as different types of questions and more diversity to the questions and some questions from previous games I may have answered differently then, than I did yesterday playing through this game…

Secret Word: Trust

Again, I was gifted with a fairly accurate diagnosis by the end of the trials. Just like the previous game, there is an eerie atmosphere, and the art given to Fate is very eye-catching…I just wish I had a better idea of where this was going.

My main points of critique are that the ending (at least the one I received) seemed to waste a lot of breath discussing the importance and value of time (which is very important)– but for someone who already values such a resource, I felt exasperated. When I finally reached the real ending, the advice I was given wasn’t much.

Solidly spoopy game. If you’re fast and clever, you’ll probably enjoy it. Check the other reviews first as they seem to be pretty mixed.

While the game has some decent spoops with a good atmosphere, I don’t think I will ever complete it because:

  • The AI corners me in the school so much that I’m ready to give up.

  • The blur effects that I have turned off in the menu are still there and it makes it very difficult to play.

  • The inventory interface feels clunky and reloading the flashlight feels like it takes forever.

Great game!

I personally think you nailed the atmosphere in this game. When you’re walking through the foster home you can almost feel the dust on the walls and a dark damp place that you don’t want to be in. Some of the smokey effects in the rooms also brought the room to life for me. The quirky effects while running down the halls are great too and give you the dizzy effect.

The soundtrack and the audio effects built the atmosphere up really well! Great Job!

I enjoyed the story and puzzles and also the intense chase around the school! xD

Overall so far this game has been an absolute masterpiece the puzzles are engaging, but not unfair. The sound track is a banger and Walter took me on a feels trip I did not expect. I absolutely love the visuals and am going to purchase the soundtrack to support the creator it’s most definitely worth $3.99. My TWO complaints are one I got 12/21 achievements and did so much in the game and still only had bad end options at the end of my first play through which was a bit disappointing after doing so much and the Arcade game Pink Style it’s absolutely the devil it feels unfair and took the luck of the gods for me to beat it once and I believe I’m going to have beat it again since I was missing 3 chips to get all the endings. The Hit box of the jelly and the mouths of those little evil turd devils IS AWFUL especially when you have to do it with a swiftness that would make The Flash Gawk in wonder at your precision and speed. Literally my least favorite mini game ever I think and the fact that’s the most disdainful memory of the game I have after having to do 3-4 of those shifty block puzzles is a feat, because I hate those two I can deal with that though if I don’t have to feed those ingrateful turd devils.

Need a puzzling game to play, but you don’t have time for a large scale, AAA title? This game is for you. The puzzles in this title will get your brain working, requiring you to sift through clues in emails and files as well as deciphering codes left by the inhabitants of this abandoned station. You’ll have to carefully manage your time and resources between crafting items to keep your life support stable, and fending off alien intruders.

Pros:

  • Good, satisfying puzzles

  • Pixelated visuals and simple geometry are a nice change from the realism of today’s games

This is an interesting game. It started off a bit flat, seemed like straight out time/resource management. You split your time between telling drones to go auto-gather resources, rushing around to build stuff, and then occasionally going outside to shoot bugs before they get inside and cause problems.

But there’s a surprising amount of logs and emails and info you can look through, and the offscreen support character makes her own little comments on what you’re reading.

All while mutant alien bugs eat through the walls to come get you.

It was a fun little game… my only complaint is not about the game but that I earned all the achievements and then discovered what “Profile Features Limited” means. I’ve never noticed this note on any other games but now I know this game doesn’t appear in my “Perfect Games”… why Steam???

Otherwise, good luck figuring out the trash can… you can do it… and the Elixir mission… lol. They were tough but doable. Nice touch by the game dev to make those a challenge.

This game is a really simple adventure indie game. I really enjoyed playing this game, I like the genre and games with strange atmosphere and funny and weird quest. Sure the story might be mind shocking to genre savvy people but I liked the twist anyways. Plus I am a big fan of how the quest tied in with the story/message of the game. The game does have issues with it inventory and picking up items. It was really annoying trying to get an item off the floor and no way to toggle to it. Also the way way you shoot your gun. Sometimes I am clicking directly at the enemy but it doesn’t connect and takes a few tries before they die. Also there is some game mechanic that felt useless like the heart v body stats? I am not sure if the affects the ending. There is some spelling and grammar errors but this guy is doing everything himself and it is way better than other translations it brings charm anyways.
