Darius Cozmic Collection Arcade

Great port with one glaring omission: the lack of 4:3 resolution support. Running the game in full screen on my 4:3 monitor results in letterboxed 16:9, which causes two significant issues:

  1. Darius Gaiden cannot be played in true fullscreen at its native aspect ratio. You can either play in stretched letterboxed 16:9, or in letterboxed-and-pillarboxed 4:3. No matter what, it won’t fill the screen.

  2. Multi-monitor mode for the games that support it cannot be correctly lined up and scaled, because the “seams” of the screens don’t correspond with the monitor resolutions. Stretching the game past the internal boundaries of the game resolution just results in the image being cropped, even though there is screen space there; said screen space is just black. I presume this is also an issue on multi-monitor 16:9 displays.

EDIT: It’s been almost a week and nothing regarding possible issues is coming, kinda scared they aren’t saying anything about it, not recommending until they at least give words for the issues on the port (That is, if M2 stops reposting Senjin Aleste Fanart in their goddamn Twitter…)

The price is quite excessive if they don’t fix these issues (It’s 2021, these issues shouldn’t be there in the first place, no, “M2 is not experienced with PC, that’s why BASIC stuff happened” is not an excuse).

Not a perfect port, but it’s been less than 2 days since it was released.

Synth Riders

Synth Riders

This is the rhythm game you want if you want to dance!

Line your hands up with the incoming target balls - as opposed to my other favorite VR rhythm game, there’s no need to strike them, it’s all about just being there at that time. There an option to enable the strike mechanic instead, but it really doesn’t work that well here, especially above the first difficulty setting or 2. Also on difficulty: there are 5 difficulties to choose from. From super-easy-going Beginner to flail-like-you’re-convulsing-from-a-seizure Master, there is room for everyone here. There is even the Spin-360 Degree mode available for every song for when you don’t want to just face forwards. If you’re looking to get down with friends or strangers online, there is multiplayer waiting for you.

coming from expert mode on beatsaber, i actually found this game a challenge at first.. despite people claiming it was easier!

imo it wasnt (but synthriders is more fun imo)

i was soon playing expert after hard (with a little encouragement from friends)

and now around 20 hrs in have even managed to complete a few songs on “master” difficulty!

its got similar practice tools to beat saber, (speed up, slow down, section practice etc)

i personally think this game is better than beatsaber, despite me playing both frequently! sometimes in the same session.

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage

FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage

This game is literally FlatOut 2 remake.

the game have all FlatOut 2 maps and car, but the difference between this and flatout 2 is :

-the online still work on this game (but you will need to install game for windows live and a patch to make the game run)

-in solo mode, you play versus 11 NPC instead of 7

-You have some extra cars

-You have 2 or 3 extra games modes

-The games have some improved graphics, but to be honnest I liked the graphic of flatout 2 equally

-The NPC AI is a little different than flatout 2 (I think In solo mode in flatout 2 all the npc target you)

I’ve played the retail of this game, the not retail, the steam release on another account and a few times on this account..

So.. What is Flatout UC and what makes it tick?

Basically, an upgraded Flatout 2 with some chievs and stuff. But saying that isn’t helping much so lets just do a list of pros and cons. Cons first.

Cons:

  • uses GFWL

  • that glitch with rubbish on the road that normally should just bump from the car but that one critical time impales your car thru the middle and makes it vault into the air when you could have got that new lap record or won a hard race.

Spacelines from the Far Out

Spacelines from the Far Out

In A Galaxy Far… Far… Just Kidding!

Welcome to ‘Spacelines from the Far Out’ a heavily comedic sci-fi party, co-op, rogue-lite, tycoon, space sim, almost an action RPG (is that too much?!) game that blends the golden era of air travel with the utopian space age of the ’60s!

An original richly detailed sci-fi universe filled with all the annoyances you’ve come to expect from being in the commercial Spaceline industry, including but not limited to…

Serving incredibly bad food, performing dance-offs, random encounters of the 5th kind, repairing broken equipment, dealing with gravity loss, piloting 101, vomit puddles, floating vomit puddles, hull damage, space hazards (no moon wizards), so many asteroids, lack of fuel, various paid entertainment features, price hikes, and the Inspector!

What happens when you take the 1960’s and put it in Space? Well, you get Spacelines from the Far Out!

From the World’s Fair to ‘It came from Outer Space’ cinema types of the times, we’ve taken a great deal of inspiration from the best of 60’s Sci-fi!

Time to Customize! Space doesn’t need to be boring!

With tons of unlockable ships, various upgrades, playable characters to collect, and more, you’ll have everything you need to make your Spaceline your own!

No One Said This Was Going to Be Easy…

With tons of mechanics in store for you to master (or survive) such as piloting, repairing, cleaning, cooking, dancing, hacking, and ensuring happy passengers, you’ll never be bored!

A Space Odyssey Adventure for You or with up to 4 Friends!

With a robust AI Director at the game’s core, you’ll always have a unique playing experience be it alone or in 4-player co-op mode with your friends!

_*Disclaimer- Passengers may experience the following situations:

Astronomical ticket prices, undercooked food, delayed luggage, lost luggage, damaged luggage, theft of property, space piracy, alien abductions, time dilation, meteorite strikes, asteroid collisions, black holes, life and death situations, sarcastic robots, and oh so much more!

If you experience any of the following annoyances, contact the nearest Inspector immediately via our Discord

Slide - Animal Race

Slide - Animal Race

I am having trouble with Remote Play, the online player cannot control their character. I am unable to configure their controller without having it plugged into my computer. I have removed the controller for player 2 and have the default keyboard set for input. Still waiting to test.

Does multiplayer only work if we are plugged into the same computer? I hope not.

Are you looking for a unique gaming experience? How often do you play indie games? Today, I’ll be looking at a new quirky racing game with a twist. Most racing games like Mario Kart, Forza, and Gran Turismo, use vehicles but in this game, Slide – Animal Race, you can choose between multiple different animals instead of vehicles, a rather interesting concept for a racing game.

You can select between 6 different animals. These animals include a turtle, fox, penguin, dolphin, orca, or even a seagull. A rather diverse cast for a racing game. And it doesn’t matter which animal you choose since the stats on each animal are the same. So go ahead and choose the animal you truly like the most without worrying about which one is faster. I honestly like the fox most cause of the way in runs in the desert stage.

SpellPunk VR

SpellPunk VR

I am not into writing reviews but I think that SpellPunk is underestimated, that is why I decided to say something about it. I truly enjoy this game. It is hard to find a good spellcasting vr game with beautiful graphics, working controls and entertaining gameplay. SpellPunk has all of these. The game is super immersive. I truly admire that its developers have gone the extra mile giving us the possibility to play with a full-body avatar instead of the usual flying hands. This feature makes me feel like I am a pure-blood magician. I can’t find the words to explain the feeling of winning a magical duel after successfully casting your spells. I feel even more powerful than a Harry Potter wizard, because I don’t even need a wand. How amazing is this?

Real player with 9.3 hrs in game

TLDR; Worth supporting, but a long way to go.

This game is a work in progress, there are definitely some wrinkles that need to be ironed out. Having said that, there is a lot of charm to the concept of core gameplay. I feel like there’s a lot of potential and while you may not love the game now, it could grow into something special with support. There are a lot of problems that I will lay out so while I am giving it my recommendation, it’s current state may not satisfy you. Here we go.

Watch Your Ride - Bicycle Game

Watch Your Ride - Bicycle Game

pros - Nice, took few hours to complete main campaign, but it also has procedural infinity mode where you can play as much as you want, also replay some levels to get achievements. Has multiplayer and splitscreen mode, but havent tried yet.

cons - not too much levels (around 50 tracks), will wait for update, hope dev will add more

Real player with 2.8 hrs in game

Watch Your Ride is an intensely fun, nonstop action, deviously challenging game. If you’ve got a grudge to settle with a friend, this is the perfect way to do it. You’ll be bouncing between the amazing thrill of victory and the crushing shame of defeat at a ridiculous speed.

Technically speaking, the game runs smooth and we never encountered any problems with bugs, bad UI design, etc… The art looks great, the levels are well designed and tough, but fair. The local multiplayer is where this game really shines, though. There’s no way we could possibly describe how fun this is to play with friends, so just check it out for yourself!

Ragnarock

Ragnarock

Ragnarock has the best tracks of any rhythm game and I’ve played almost all of them. It takes time learning to hit the drums and booster shields accurately and getting the timings right. It’s a simple concept, but hard to master. Completely skill based. The multiplayer races are super fun and as far as I know, unique to Ragnarock.

Real player with 173.5 hrs in game

The best multiplayer VR Rhythm game hands down, easily accessible to new players while offering great features for veterans, awesome soundtrack with support to import additional custom tracks.

Details for rhythm veterans; a faithful translation of a 4-lane VSRG into VR with tight timing windows and extremely competitive leaderboards even on lower difficulty songs. Highly customizable controls (angle/length/offset type settings for hammers), custom scroll speeds, practice mode with variable playback speed up to 120%.
