Just Dance 2017

Just Dance 2017

ºWhat to say to Just Dance 2017?,in short, is another bad game of Bugsoft.

-Control (phone) disconnects ALL TIME, there is not 40 seconds connected to the computer (sometimes).

-In addition to paying $ 49.99(R$ 99,99), you DO NOT HAVE ALL THE MUSIC RELEASED TO PLAY, some you buy with the Ubisoft currency, some you need to have Just Dance Unlimited.

-Just Dance 2017 looks Just Dance Now, ridiculous.

-I did not ask for a refund because I am hopeful that they will solve the problems of this game soon.

Pros :

  • One of few games in Steam that makes you do workout instead of sitting all day.

  • Many selections of songs (about 50 built-in + more than 200 from Just Dance Unlimited).

  • The respond and accuracy is very good (better than Just Dance Now).

  • You can pay for Just Dance Unlimited subscription either from Credit Card or Steam Wallet (I like the latter option, since I don’t have credit card). The subscription price is more or less same than Just Dance Now subscription price.

  • Many modes, so pretty high replayability (apart from that many songs selection).

AVICII Invector

AVICII Invector

AVICII Invector: a rhythm game and tribute to the late beloved Swedish DJ AVICII who belongs in anyone’s Music Hall of Fame.

Avicii Tops Shazam’s Most-Searched Songs Hall Of Fame

That honor befalls “Wake Me Up” by Swedish electronic dance music DJ and producer Avicii which, according to Shazam, the go-to app for figuring out what it is you’re listening to, is the most ‘Shazamed' song of all time. It has so far been checked 19.45 million times and counting.

Introduction

We all know & love the man known as Tim Bergling, who Is no one but AVICII himself. Unfortunately, he died too young on 20th April 2018 which left all of his fans heartbroken. Although he is no more, he will still continue to live through his overly popular songs. AVICII Invector is a game made in the memory of AVICII which features a few of his songs. There aren’t a lot of Rhythm-action games out there & this surely stands out since this is purely AVICII music. Not only is it a wonderful game, most of the proceeds that the developer earns from this game go to the Tim Bergling Foundation which supports those with mental health problems, so you are also contributing to a charitable cause!

I guess no one else saw this and paid for it. I think the idea is amazing however i hope that i can use the game in the future because none of the dates and times for the events were correct. Also i did not see a single person who wasnt an npc. Basically it is just a recreation of an insland festival in VR. Some of the scenery and music was great and some of it wasnt. Giving this a bad review only because i paid for this and the description of the events was innacurate so basically a waste of money unless they redo it.

Intralism

Intralism

Intralism is a rhythm based music game that requires precise and precision note hitting to get the highest possible scores and ranks for charts using the w,a,s,d or the arrow keys (can rebind them to anything you want in the options still). The game has a very steady community that makes charts for various genres like anime, blues, children, classical, jazz, rap, metal, rock and more so there is something for everyone. Charts range from easy to hard, slow to fast even one/two handed charts. There are community events for summer, winter, Halloween, Valentines day and so on that allow anyone to make charts then are chosen to be in the event that can get you special Steam inventory items and regular users can play the event charts and obtain event only items too.

Intralism

A fun rhythm game quite similar, but not the same as other Beatmania’ish games.

The circular layout can be hard to get used to, primarily if you are used to playing other rhythm games, but I believe it is much more pleasant to the eye and can result in more impressive maps/storyboards (while that is obviously up to the mapper).

Some pros:

There are official (==ranked) maps for various levels of skill and a diversity of genres available.

New official maps are (at the time of writing this) chosen every week.

Audition Online

Audition Online

Since I have been playing this game on and off for about 10 years now and having spend lots and lots of hours in it, I should give it my honest review.

The game is, especially for beginners, tough to learn, due to not many in game help or tutorials (there is only a small page describing the modes in a help tab). The community on this server mostly consist of old Audition Veterans who are still playing the game out of nostalgic reason, immature young people who act like “internet heroes” and people who uses Audition to be afk or just chatting, there for most rooms are private rooms or afk rooms, which doesn’t do the game any favour, because if you really want to dance you most likely have to open your own room and hope that someone actually wants to play with you. The game can also be very demotivating if you play with people who are very good at this game, because of the perfing system (every 2 perfs you can chain in a row gives your enemy a “red face” and if he doesn’t perf while “red faced” he doesn’t get any points).

I know some reviews for this game were because people want to get money from RedBana apprently XD but this one is not for anything like that just a normal review :) Pretty long one so don’t feel the need you have to read it all unless your really interested in this game XD

I had never heard of Audition Online until it hit steam, since then i have been hooked to this game and gotten to love it! :D In this game, you press a number of arrows and press space once a red circle goes into the white area of the bar, this is just the main mode but there are many other way to play such as: 8keys,a guitar hero type mode where you prsss ZXCV and shift and much more! As far as other modes go there are: normal individual, team battles, Club Dance (couple dance), Block Beat (dance in teams of 2), 1-2 mode where you memorise a sequence and reapeat it and more too! :D

Conga Master

Conga Master

Every new congo session game starts off slow then soon enough you will have 30+ people in your conga line, sucking everyone else in around you which is very satisfying. Music is also enjoyable; some more than others.

Looks like it’s only local multiplayer. I cannot find a way to play online multiplayer. There is however an online leaderboard.

Solid game and gets pretty difficult in Story mode. Cost me £7.99

I was following the developing of this game closely and it’s finally released! Ludum Dare sometimes gives you amazing surprises ;)

Seems like an easy gameplay, but it’s hard to master it. Don’t be fooled by the cute pixel art and voices. I need to play it with some friends to really enjoy the game fully. We will see.

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

Kind Words (lo fi chill beats to write to)

This is not a game. This is a community of kind strangers helping each other with kind words. Your only reward will be nice music and rooms to decorate. But that truly is enough. Kind words are not for those who seek rewards or validation. You don’t meet or talk or make friends with anyone. Kind words isn’t made for that. It is just meant to be kind words spoken without reward or consequence between strangers. And in doing just that Kind Words elevates itself. It truly becomes a place where you can seek kindness from strangers, when real life deals you a bad hand.

I bought this game a long time ago on a recommendation from a friend, but never picked it up. Then one day recently I was feeling really down and useless about myself. I didn’t really want to play any of my usual favourites and I remembered I had this and thought I’d give it a go.

At first I thought it might be fun to vent into the aether (and I got some lovely responses), but soon I realised that replying to other people’s messages and helping where I thought I could felt great. So many people were going through things I’d been though and could help with. It’s a thoroughly charming game with so many enDEERing features, I’d recommend it to anyone whether you’re feeling good or bad. It’s the sort of game where playing for 15 minutes can make you feel better about the day.

Ragnarock

Ragnarock

Ragnarock has the best tracks of any rhythm game and I’ve played almost all of them. It takes time learning to hit the drums and booster shields accurately and getting the timings right. It’s a simple concept, but hard to master. Completely skill based. The multiplayer races are super fun and as far as I know, unique to Ragnarock.

The best multiplayer VR Rhythm game hands down, easily accessible to new players while offering great features for veterans, awesome soundtrack with support to import additional custom tracks.

Details for rhythm veterans; a faithful translation of a 4-lane VSRG into VR with tight timing windows and extremely competitive leaderboards even on lower difficulty songs. Highly customizable controls (angle/length/offset type settings for hammers), custom scroll speeds, practice mode with variable playback speed up to 120%.

Summary

This is an amazing Rhythm game. I can’t really stress enough how fun this game is, and how it feels to play to the music. The key word I think that describes this game best is flow. There is an incredible feeling as you move the wheel, hit notes, hit beats, and match the colors. I don’t play very many Rhythm games, but SRXD has gotten me to take a closer look at the genre. It takes some gameplay mechanics from Vertically Scrolling Rhythm games, and makes them its own. As well as introducing entirely new sets of gameplay systems and mechanics, which I will try to explain below.

Real player with 1922.7 hrs in game

Finally a fresh concept for a rhythm game, and it’s executed extremely well. Some of the most fun in a rhythm game you can have. Songs and charts are good, community is good, and the dev team actually does a good job to maintain and improve their game. There’s a good amount of in-game customization to suit the player’s needs, it also supports MIDI controllers.

I have a small issue though, my issue is the game is trying to be a hybrid of a casual and competitive game. The reason this is an issue is they’re limiting the skill cap with the hardest songs. In it’s current state, there are a couple people who have a perfect score on every chart. If the game wants to be competitive they should influence players to improve more and more. High level leaderboards is only an accuracy battle of who can get a perfect score on the most songs. Don’t get me wrong, the hardest songs are definitely challenging and very intimidating when you’re new or a casual player of the game. But why hold back players skills when there’s a global leaderboard? This won’t be much of an issue for the average player, but if you spend a lot of time in it you’ll find yourself slowly getting worn out only playing for accuracy.
