Light Bearers
🇬🇧English🇬🇧
Hello, in this review I’ll like to share my interest to this game, Light Bearers is a kind of Hide&Seek, you play a chased: a Light Bear, the hunter: the Shadow or an ex-chased, who has been infected by the shadow: a Shadow Bear.
There is a lot of Shadows with different abilities; a shadow has 3 abilities. For exemple, the simplet Shadow: the Nox, can : do a dash, making clones with a mediocre A.I. but who can infect Light Bears, and for the end, blind Light Bears for a short time.

Great game, fun and simple! Rounds don’t take too long, they won’t keep you trapped to your computer unless you play several successive rounds in a row like i did
I promised myself I would just play the free version…………….. SO i dropped that 15$ real fast and got the full version with more characters to play and things to customize my bear with, which was pretty rad. The maps are fun and creative, the voice acting for the characters was on point.
The only thing I would have to criticize is the frequent disconnects. I needed to manually go in and verify my local files to fix the problem that… still arises fairly often. I hope they fix the issue eventually.

Redmatch 2
Well where do I start… This game is fantastic literally anyone can play and run this game as it is free and as of 7/11 under 10mb on the surface it appears to be another generic unity FPS game, but its much more than that I believe when this game gets workshop support its going to take off.
In terms of game mechanics is pretty great mildly physics are janky and that’s kinda the point but when it pulls you in random directions when using the ODM gear it gets annoying pretty quick on the topic of the ODM gear that too is wildly inconsistent, sometimes I feel like a god grappling around getting sick quick scopes other times it literally doesn’t work weapons feel pretty good I love the sniper even though the scope is off center the AK-47 is great good time to kill pretty reliable and not too much bloom now the shotgun is GARBAGE holy shit its broken stupid range massive damage and its full auto aside from the shotgun the weapons are pretty on point

One of my favourite shooter games. Not always super active, but when it is, it’s tons of fun.
Great community around it and a really hardworking developer.
The game requires the ability to move well, but you don’t need to go too deep into that. The most important part is to not stay still, and something very interesting - you need to know how to switch guns.
I didn’t think it earlier, but for most maps, you generally need to know when to switch weapons, this includes knowing which you are best at, when, and at what range. It sounds simple, but it’s alot of fun to learn the ins and outs of each gun and what it is good at.

Excellent game! Very challenging but not impossible to figure out. The hint system is very good at pushing you in the right direction without flat out giving you the answer. I invited my friends into Discord and we all brainstormed together to figure it out. It almost felt like we were there in real life figuring out as a group which was awesome! Don’t listen to the negative reviews that were left because the game was too difficult. A lot of thought and effort went into this game and it shows.

Dystopia
It doesn’t get any better than this.
Each map is unique in its setting and objective concept (the cyberpunk theme of the game is greatly enhanced by excellent skybox’s and background noise that draws you into the level). They require good team co-ordination in order to win. Especially since aspects of the objectives take place in 2 parallel worlds that affect each other in real time [Meatspace - physical world: similar to most fps with a cyperpunk theme (weapons like laser rifle, tesla rifle, ion cannon), 3 class types (v.balanced) and deus ex like implants, inc increased speed, thermal vision, medic, stealth(invisi). Cyberspace - think system shock 1 or tripping on acid: req decking implant; deckers speed thru cyberspace hacking objectives, adding security and fighting off enemy deckers in low grav/high speed combat using in essence quake railgun, lightening gun and rocket launcher.]

What started out as an old half life 2 mod is now an independent game with a dedicated community and recently updated to 1.5.2! Dystopia gives some quake-style play with objectives and and alternate cyber space realm where players fight in quasi gravity for control over nodes. Cyberspace nodes can be secondary objectives to open up new paths around choke points or seal off defender’s quick access to the objective. They can also switch turrets to shoot the other team! Other times an objective requires getting a player with a deck implant in the middle of enemy territory and hacking an objective.

Apex Legends™
You open the game and finish your 3000 word essay that’s due tomorrow while it loads you into the main menu. You pray they fed the server hamsters today as you queue for a game. You pick Octane cause you like running around fast, not cause he’s on drugs. Your teammates pick Caustic and Wraith. It’s another TTV Wraith. The champion squad is a pred and 2 master players. The game begins and your caustic spends all game on his own trapping buildings, while you run around juiced up looking for loot and killing anyone in your way. You get jumped by a squad because footstep audio doesn’t exist and you couldn’t hear them coming. TTV Wraith goes down. You clutch a 1v3 because mastiff is balanced. Meanwhile, your Caustic is setting up traps outside the zone. You collect your Wraith’s banner and try to respawn them but they leave with 0.2s left on the timer. You’re in awe that this one stayed that long. Someone sees you next to the respawn beacon and kills you. They then immediately get 3rd partied while a far off 4th squad member misses all his kraber shots on them. The predator player shows up out of nowhere and wipes everyone in one sweep, dropping another 4k 20 bomb in the process. Your caustic dies to zone. You’re back in the main menu and a random level 500 is waiting there for you in your party. They complain about not having heirlooms despite playing since season 1 but the dude that started last week has 2. You queue for another game. You get disconnected because two server hamsters passed out from hunger. Code: leaf. You wait to load back into the main menu and queue once more, cause you know it’s worth going through it all again just to take another glance at Loba’s thick ass.

Easily one of the best games ruined by bad management and run by a very greedy, short sighted publisher.
Pros:
-
Excellent Movement.
-
Satisfying gun play. Huge variety of guns of all types - Shotguns, SMGs, Pistols, Snipers, ARs. And they all are very good.
-
Map sizes are excellent, not too big and empty and not too small either. Games are quick and no down time in the middle portion.
-
New legends and weapons added every season.
-
Maps are changed/updated every season keeping things fresh.
-
Seasons are 3 months long offering plenty of time to complete battle pass.

This is a game where you are a Kirby who brutally murders other Kirbies to death with Hammers, Guns, Grenade Launchers, Lasers and even Katanas.
This is one of those games which is super easy to understand, yet is very hard to master as I am constantly learning new tricks, maneuvers and ways to play.
Pros:
-
Runs well on lower end PC’s
-
Runs god damn gloriously on my computer, at its worst I get 500 fps… So you will have no problems running it.
-
Cute art style and characters.
-
Fun to play.

Spellbreak
Context:
I have been playing since the earliest days of the Pre-Alpha and am probably one of the first players to ever enter. Now to be fair I am not the most active, but combining all platforms together I have somewhere above 1500h playtime since 2018.
Review:
I love this game and that holds true even though this is a negative review. However, I can no longer recommend this game for the following reasons:
1. Spellbreak For Dummies
The game has been “streamlined” from its original complexity in the pre-alpha. From what used to be many different classes and access to every gauntlet at all times (even duplicate gauntlets could be carried), you now get 6 classes and a total of 12 talents. In a lobby you have access to 1 class and 3 talents, which cost talent points to use. You can carry a main gauntlet and an offhand, the exception being the Spellslinger Talent which allows you to carry extra gauntlets and runes in your inventory at the cost of slots for heals.

While I absolutely love Spellbreak’s combat system, it has a lot of missed potential with blaring issues that either never get fixed or take forever to get addressed.
I have been playing the game since it launched back in September with 500+ hours on the Switch version and 150+ on the Steam version.
There are several issues with the game that is easiest just to list out:
1: Bots. Almost every match done in the Battle Royale mode will have some amount of bots in it generated by the game. The game at no point mentions these bots exist within the game nor does the game identify which characters are bots and which are real players. I went my first 10 hours not even noticing that a lot of what I was facing were bots. At low level play it gives a false sense of accomplishment, and at high level play they are just free loot that pretends to fight back.

MINDNIGHT
I’ve put enough time into this game to understand a lot its strengths and weaknesses. This is a social deduction game that was balanced to favor one side in many modes, enabling the game to lean on that mechanic. It enables a unique type of gameplay that I find very engaging. The devs threw a ton of thought and patience in the core mechanics, and they’re incredibly active in the game’s discord server. They regularly receive feedback and interact with the community.
Unfortunately, the game is unfixable.

A simple hidden role game, and free to play, at that. The gameplay itself is very good - not perfect, but it’s still in development - but the community is VERY bad, and I consider this to be partly the fault of the developers. Not ENTIRELY their fault, but….
For example, the report system. You can report people for harrassment or abuse or spam. That’s good. So what’s the problem? You can also report people for cheating, or for gamethrowing. If a person is reported often enough - for any offense - they are automatically banned by a bot and must appeal to the mods. This encourages bullies to sling reports at people for perceived offenses that didn’t occur, giving them even more power and generally fueling a negative atmosphere.

Of Guards And Thieves
This game is a hidden gem. It is still in beta, but it is a very high functioning beta. The developers manage an active discord where they speak and listen to their fans’ feedback. They dedicate what time and resources they are able to the game, and there are active developments coming out. This game is basically cops and robbers with multiple different game modes. If you’re a thief, run around and turn off lights while you’re after your objectives. If you’re a guard, keep those rooms lit while searching for the thieves. Below is a list of some of the available game modes.
– Real player with 326.7 hrs in game
I am writing this review after I have played over a hundred hours on this game.
What to say?… Well, lets start with the balance of the classes. There are currently three teams. Guards (aka. Survivors, Anti-Terrorists), Thieves (aka. Terrorists), and Zombies (esclusive to only one gamemode; more later). Oh, and the Sages, which are also in a class of their own.
The gamemodes are varied, including Bomb Defusal, Team Deathmatch (Types: Guards and Thieves, Guards only, Thieves only) Instagib, VIP, Zombie Rush, Soccer, And, of course, Guards and Thieves. I’m sure some of them are self explanatory, so I’ll esplain the ones that aren’t.

Brawlhalla
### EDIT: Overall, Brawlhalla has changed drastically since the release of this review. A lot of the information here is no longer correct and there are new gameplay features, dash being the most important. I certainly still feel that it is far too easy to avoid and/or delay interaction between yourself and the opponent, but it would be disingenuous of me to pretend the specifics of this review are still accurate.
Although I am giving this game a positive review, I must say that it comes with a massive disclaimer. If you just play Brawlhalla with your friends and never take it seriously, you will likely enjoy yourself. However, if you ever get good at this game and play at a decently high level, Brawlhalla’s glaring failures as a fighting game will become so unignorable that your desire to play it will steadily decline till you’re on the subreddit crying about the passive float meta like everyone else. All of the reviews - including the negative ones - are ignoring the real problems with this game, and it’s something I have thought about for a long time. So, I’ll try to explain my reasoning as best as I can and briefly include the reasons why I still consider it worth downloading despite its enormous flaws.

–- At a glance —
Brawlhalla is a free to play, Super Smash Bros esque Game that is easy to pick up, even for the most novice of gamers. This cartoon stylized game is primarily Online based but can also be played single player(Training and Couch Party with friends)
The simple visuals and punchy sfx will entice (and infuriate) most people who choose to pick this game up.
Overall, I recommend this game for everyone to try out at least once.
