Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow

Broken Arrow is a large-scale real-time modern warfare tactics game. The base game features both the American and Russian factions, more than 100 units and multiple deck specialisations per nation.

Broken Arrow brings the genre to a whole new level by combining the complexity of a joint-forces wargame with the typical real-time tactics action-packed gameplay.

UNIQUE ARMY BUILDING

Build your army deck by choosing from over 200 different units. Part of the battle is won by planning well: create the right combination of unit types and weapons to defeat your enemy, and don’t forget to consider the terrain when you choose.

Broken Arrow features a wide range of units, that are split into seven categories based on their characteristics: your army deck includes recon units, infantry, fighting vehicles, support units, logistical units, helicopters and airstrikes slots.

  • RECON UNITS: includes infantry, vehicles and drones specialized in the task of spotting and marking the enemy position.

  • INFANTRY: includes line infantry, shock troops, special forces, anti-tank teams, anti-aircraft teams.

  • FIGHTING VEHICLES: includes tanks, ATGM carriers and fire support vehicles.

  • SUPPORT: includes artillery and anti-aircraft vehicles that provide long range support on the battlefield.

  • LOGISTICS:, includes all the units designed to improve combat efficiency by providing ammunition, repairs, medical supplies and much more.

  • HELICOPTERS: includes multipurpose cavalry units best used far from the heatpoints.

  • AIRSTRIKES: includes many different weapons, swarms of tactical missiles and airdrops of troops, vehicles and supplies.

CUSTOM UNITS

Modern vehicles and aircraft are generally compatible with different weapons and armor packages; Broken Arrow features a detailed customisation system that allows you to modify the specific components of your units, either individually or as a loadout.

  • Customize your aircraft by choosing weapons, fuel tanks, designation pods, countermeasure pods and decoys.

  • Add armor or defensive systems to your vehicles and upgrade their weaponry and sensors.

  • Special forces have access to a wide variety of equipment for you to choose: add suppressors, thermal optics, reconnaissance drones, explosive charges and much more.

ACTION-PACKED COMBAT

Choose the right combination of units from your deck and deploy them to the battlefield, via land, the sea or from the air. Use paratroopers and helicopters to rapidly seize key locations, reinforce them with heavy tanks and break enemy counter attacks with artillery and tactical missiles.

Infiltrate special forces behind enemy lines to disrupt enemy logistics and provide laser designation for your planes. Use the terrain to your advantage to ambush, out flank and outsmart your enemy.

Congo Merc

Congo Merc

personally one of the best bloody games ive ever played. the graphics story and graphics make the game one of the best games of all the time. it reminds me of one time where i was at disneyland tokyo and i was just sitting down after having a really exhilarating ride on the tron ride in disney world tokyo japan, i had just sat down on the bench located closest to the rides exit. it was placed in a seating area to sit around where the hyperion auto cafe was in tokyo. i was sitting there thinking and i thought to myself: “what if i were to make a game called something like i dont know congo merc where the gameplay is as good as is like in real life and then you go fight people upper congo lower congo congo everywhere!! i thought that would be a good idea” oops i meant to end the speech marks before anyway i thought that’d be a really good idea so i got to work coding. i coded and coded and coded and oh yeah im not sitting at the bench at disneyland tokyo japan anymore im at home on ps4 with my friend jay and we’re talking online about making a game called congo merc which could be a game with good graphics and story and video audio. he said it good idea so i got to work coding and i had an issue…! the game had bad graphics on the grass. so i took references by going to my neighbours astro turf (my neighbour has astro turf) and asked him for some astro turf. he said yes one clipping only so i took one clipping only and coded it into the game and finally got the grass in the game. with the game that id thought of at tokyo disneyland finally complete, i set to making the audio. i needed a sound of a gun since congo dandies in congo brazzaville have guns when people get in their way. so i got a gun sound by getting abuela tatis shoe and smacking it against the side of my room wall (my room wall is pretty thick meaning my parents didnt hear it and ground me!) with everything done, i went to export the game to upload to the stream greenlight program, before my computer crashed and i lost everything. so that is why i am here today, good job on the game even though mine looked a lot better and good luck in the future when making more games like congo merc!

CONGO MERC: SOLO MINI-GAME WITH TOO MANY BUGS

The Congo in Africa has long been a focus of conflict due to its natural resources, which continue to attract the attention of foreign powers and businesses to this very day. CONGO MERC is a single-player event-based historical game loosely covering the Simba rebellion (the word ‘simba’ in Kiswahili means ‘lion’ in English) of 1961-64, at the height of the Cold War. You control foreign mercenaries plus Belgian (and Congolese? what about them?) and exiled Cuban units, fighting Congolese Simba separatist rebels and their Soviet-Cuban allies.

Command: Modern Operations

Command: Modern Operations

This is basically an heavily updated and improved version of Command Modern Air / Naval Operation (CMANO)- but don’t think that’s a bad thing, in fact it’s a very good thing.

That sentence above might make someone who is unfamiliar with the game think: But why should I then buy CMO (Command Modern Operations) instead of CMANO when the latter is cheaper?

The simple answer to that is that almost all important aspects of the game has been improved, a lot of irritating limitations due to the state of computer hardware when CMANO was released in 2013 has been removed and a lot of new features which not only increases realism, but also makes the game more accessible for newcomers to the operationel level military ops simulation world has been introduced.

If you read some of the reviews here (or watched LPs), you will have a good idea what this game is about.

I want to adress here just some points critizesed quite often in reviews: the missing campaign and/or the lack of scenarios, leading to the impression one would be forced to buy DLCs to actually do something with this game.

If you buy C:MO you get of course quite some turorials to learn the basics. Given the mass of the simulated systems and the different time frames of these systems it is impossible to teach you every detail in these turorials. When you start a scenario and are not familiar with the weapons used in it, you will have to learn what they do and don´t do. The database gives you everything you need, but you have to read it. If you start a scenario and are not familiar with the weapons, aircraft, ships and so on you might spent some time just to get an understanding of you forces before doing you first moves. This game requires patience.

Citres

Citres

Citres is a minimalistic Japanese city building game.

There are no dozens of different types of buildings or macro resource management in the game. In this game you buy packs of buildings for Yen - in-game currency, which contains random buildings in the form of Tetris figures. By placing buildings correctly, you will receive Yen to buy new packs, as well as expand the city by filling houses with new residents, which will bring you closer to the discovery of new unique buildings. Building buildings of the same type in the shape of a square will upgrade them, here the skills of playing Tetris will come in handy.

What’s in the game:

  • Simple and straightforward gameplay

  • Procedurally generated island

  • Japanese atmosphere with relaxing soundtrack[/]

You should know what you are getting with the 18xx games. This is pretty good, both as a client and as an entry in the family of games, including elements that are questionable if you are a purist but are pretty nice if you like your board games to have replayability and some minimum degree of asymmetry, and I am referring to the pre-game draft of assets cards. Also the theme is great and enriched by the Korean war elements.

Buyers beware: there is NO single-player or versus-AI mode. This is a multiplayer only game. As it should be.

Real player with 4.6 hrs in game

As an avid 18xx fan, I was very hopeful for this title. I’ve only played through a 2 player local multiplayer game(vs myself) to get a feel for the rule set and interface. This rule set is more of the “running good companies” style of 18xx vs the Stock manipulation style of game. All train routes are autocalculated which is a huge time saver over the tabletop games, interface was relatively simple to figure out.

This game has a very unique(as far as my exposure to 18xx which is pretty extensive) mechanic with half of the map getting wiped out once you advance to Era 3(brown tiles). This is the Korean war. Map gets cut at the DMZ(which you can traverse before it happens), North becomes unavailable and all cities in the South are wiped out and have to be rebuilt. I understand it works for a smaller map, but not sure how I feel about it after only one play through but its intriguing for planning and strategy.

ANYEK - The Keyboard Puzzle

ANYEK - The Keyboard Puzzle

Very cool and cute concept for a game! Currently there are some minor spelling issues (for example in lv. 20 it says “gices” instead of “gives”, and some level in the beginning (which I can’t remember unfortunately) is missing a T in a word, but I’m sure the developer would take care of these minor issues and fix them.

Aside of this, the game is really cute and fun, makes you really think in some levels - I like it a lot. Not 100% done yet, but really enjoying it so far.

Would recommend.

Hell of Men : Blood Brothers

Hell of Men : Blood Brothers

This game is very interesting.

You will found classic mechanical (collect, build, train) but you found good new mechanicals like vehicles that you can have with the capture of strategic point, a cover system, etc… You can’t go with your army in one pack because one roquet can kill all of them!

It’s a challenge and I really like it. If you like RTS you can go !

Marswar TD

Marswar TD

A typical, lack luster TD game, missing many of the bells and whistles such a game should come with standard.

(Edit: The designer added a target preference button, as requested)

The game has little to no personality, a lot of unit types appear to go by, but there is no sense that they are in any way different other than the way they look, except for the fliers and the easy to miss boss units.

The game has great hopes for itself, you get less than a thousand coins per perfect level right now, and some upgrades cost around a hundred thousand coins to purchase. Something significant would have to change to ever see you reach that.

Realpolitiks II

Realpolitiks II

Edit 1: After the playing the game further and a new update I have decided to revise my review. While much of what I said still stands I wanted to add since the developer is clearly listening to the community and putting in the work. I am gunna leave what was originally said since much of it is still true but simply put apprentices on what is fixed

I also cam back to say that their are 3 new bugs in this patch

BUG 1: When at war, theaters will bug out and prevent you from attacking or doing anything leading to infinite conflict until you peace out and attempt to go to war again

I am enjoying the game so far. As Israel, I began with taking over nearby territories, Jordan, and Lebanon. Six years into the game, I had to withstand chronic invasions from Egypt and Syria simultaneously. As easily as they dispatched my military, neither of those countries attempted to send their troops to Jerusalem, where I kept the what was left of my army. This kept either side from achieving a 100 percent war score, which allowed me to keep turning down their demands until each war automatically ended after taking too long. Eventually, I was able to defeat a 3rd (or was it a 4th?) invasion from Syria without the interference of Egypt initially, but then Egypt came swooping in just as I secured a bloc agreement with Turkey. Let me tell you that it was immensely satisfying to see Turkish troops come rolling into my country at that moment, helping me in not just beating back the Egyptian invasion, but destroying their whole military and annexing Egypt! On the domestic front, it has been gratifying to implement projects that have a marked effect on my country. I praise Jujubee for creating a policy system that isn’t too hard to grasp and displays fairly discernible effects (unlike similar games such as Power & Revolution, Supreme Ruler 2020, etc.)

Vidya Poker

Vidya Poker

Do you like video poker? So do I! I think this game captures the enjoyment of an arcade style poker game pretty well. I really enjoy the fact that I can play the game (AKA lose money) as fast as I want to or maybe take some time if I have a really buff hand. I also like how casual it is because losses don’t carry near the same weight as real life. I made some videos if you want to check them out.

https://youtu.be/Bv2Ee3WafaI

The customization options are cool because you can change the fronts and backs of the cards and you can change your toon/avatar/mascot in a couple different ways (skins and the 3D model). I like the animations of the default toon but I haven’t gotten enough diamonds yet to buy a different toon. The background can also be changed from the default stormy sky to a plain green background.

It’s ok. If you like to gamble its fun. If you like to play hold em and 3 card poker, but never played video poker like me you might run out of money often.
