Hired Ops

Hired Ops

Decent FPS Shooter!

I can’t recommend this game to anyone for a million reasons!!

Another missed project by Absolutsoft!!

From the beginning of the development the game was supposed to be P2P, and many times the developers as well as their community manager promised that the game would never be F2P, however it turned out to be the biggest lie of Absolutsoft company and their team!

It went further in the development of the game where it took the company and developers more than two years to create four different classes of operators aka the characters in the game that the players would play with!!!

So to preface.. I just logged over hour 100 of Hired Ops, additionally i’m currently sitting at Rank 68 on the world leader boards. This isn’t me flexing the e-peen about my stats but rather to add validation for my forthcoming scathing of some persistent issues with game.

Firstly, you’ll notice that i DO recommend this game, highly in-fact. I consider Hired Ops a true reawakening to the glory days of fast paced tactical shooters ( circa MW2, MW3 ). The mashup Counter-Strike/MOBA perk and currency system is a surprisingly unique and enjoyable mechanic to progress through matches, constantly tipping the balance in either teams favor while rewarding good gun play for the individual. The customization system has a pace that makes you feel validated ( although slightly grindy ) it keeps you coming back searching for rare attachments and weapons. The gameplay is fluid, kills feel rewarding, weapons have good feedback, and the maps are fleshed out with competition in mind..

GOOD POTENTIAL… AND THAT’S IT!

This game had been heavily touted as a “Battlefield Killer” in the past, but the only thing it managed to kill was itself. And it’s now going Free to Play in one of the worst platforms there is. And they’re asking for your personal data to keep testing it.

And that’s thanks to devs. It used to be a fun game, despite the bugs that Farm 51 ignored from the beginning. Unfortunately the gaming industry is plagued by a “build first, polish later” myth that simply doesn’t work, and this game is the posterchild of that mentality (which btw never works). Bugs amounted to the hundreds, every update introduced more bugs without fixing previous ones, and devs stubbornly insisted on cramming more features nobody wanted while ignoring the pink glowing elephant in the room.

This is clearly the Battlefield game of the year (since Battlefield 5 shifted to “run and gun” kids gameplay style.

After Gigapatch update this game is definitely worth buying. I started playing since the game release, and i can tell you the game we have now is like a new one. The game still has some performance issues (whether on server side or game optimization), but if your PC falls into recommended requirements you will not notice any issue.

In one sentence: This game is like BF3 but a much more hardcore version.

Note: All features and information subject to change as the result of testing and community feedback.

Medal of Honor™

Based on the real Battle of Roberts Ridge (Takhur Ghar) where SEAL PO1 Neil Roberts and Air Force Combat Controller TSgt John Chapman both lost their lives fighting alone. The game, despite it’s horribly cheesy and sometimes downright bad moments, portrays a solid image of what it might have been like to have been in the Shahi-Kot valley during the early days of the War in Afghanistan. The game has the player playing as members from two different AFO teams from the SEALs and Army Delta Force and as a Ranger from the 75th Ranger Regiment, all of which were present at some point and in some capacity in the real battle.

Unlike Call of Duty - Black Ops II, this actually gets Afghanistan right. The setting looks like the mountains I flew over and the valley I rucked in. It looks like Afghanistan, it sounds like Afghanistan, and despite the game-isms, does a good job of telling the story. Little things stand out to me - the visible selector switch from semi to full, the relatively realistic weapons models, the radio chatter and dialogue - as authentic. There are some reality breakers, like a general in a suit during cutscenes or the wrong time period highspeed gofast gear on dudes in a game set in 2001, but I can put them aside and enjoy the atmosphere.

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator

I have been a virtual Pilot way back since FS2002 Professional.

I currently fly FSX SE, Prepar3D, X-Plane 11, Aerofly FS2, Helicopter Simulator from Lines Studio, Combat Air Patrol 2, etc.

Lets just say that I am not new on customizing my loyal Thrustmaster T-Flite Hotas X.

Some platforms are more intuitive than others.

World of Aircraft: Glider Simulator is sadly one of the most head scratching interface mapping so far, at least for this Pilot.

Here are the problems: If you select the profile “simple joystick” for my device, it is a constant hit and miss that your binding will register.

I spent $90 and didn’t refund to save you wasting your money.

The good:

  • Portal might be good some day.

The bad:

  • No classes

  • Wide open maps with no cover

  • Maps are too big and turns the game into a running simulator

  • No scoreboard

  • No changing squads

  • No changing teams

  • Awful hit registration

  • Awful random bullet deviation

  • Broken hover tank that can scale walls and harder to blow up than a tank.

  • Bug that won’t allow you to re-deploy when you die. You have to leave the game.

  • Bug that will show your team mates as enemies and they can knife you to death

This game delivered on none of the promises that it made, do not buy it.

I have played every Battlefield game since Battlefield 3, and this is by far the most disappointing. Dice made gigantic promises for this game about a return to form and classic Battlefield moments and gameplay, but completely failed to deliver on anything they had promised. The lack of weapons in the game is perhaps the most disappointing part about it in my opinion. There are a grand total of 22 primary weapons in this game at launch. this game has been out for a week and some people have already unlocked every single gun. Most of the weapons are also wiiiildly unbalanced. If you buy this game today you will find yourself being killed by the PP-29 sub machine gun for 60% of your deaths to infantry. The other 30% will be the SVK designated marksman rifle. This is because these are the only weapons that actually feel usable. Assault rifles suffer in close range because of their abysmally low rate of fire and lack of kill potential. At range the combination of excessive recoil and the game’s “bullet spread” mechanic makes them unusable. While the starting LMG is moderately okay, it also has similar problems to the Assault rifles. The PKP lmg has an insanely high recoil that makes it exceptionally worthless when not in bipod mode, when in bipod mode its performance is still forgettable and you’ll find yourself not being able to defeat sub machine guns in ranged combat.

could multiplayer is sadly LAN only, movement feels like I’m high on ketamine and am trying to play cs 1.6, tab opens menu like normal but also is your in-game chat button so you start typing when you hit tab, guns take 10+ bullets to kill even to the head unless its the awp, throwing a nade is like trying to swim in a vat of honey, you move slower than a 90 year old with a walker and 50kg of weight strapped to each ankle, and crouching while scoped with the awp causes the barrel of the awp to cover half your view.

COD 4 what can i say but it was the call of duty to start the prime days back in 2007 of complete pure fun until after BO2 then they went off the rails for me but this is a very good game i tell ya but its modded to hell now well most of the severs are and another problem i could not get my hands on with the multiplayer is there is no prestige mode for you once you have reach level 55 thanks to some of the severs they have added a prestige mod for you to carry on enjoying yourself and having more of that replay ability there for you and for an old game there is still a good amount of players floating around so that’s something i appreciate but if you like the old school call of duty with its campaign and multiplayer this is for you to try you will not get bored.
