Risks: (I will be totally honest with you. Thus, I put it here)
1, The game is made with a very old game engine. (For memories' sake)
2, There is only one developer.
3, I am terrible at 2D art.
4, I am not a native speaker of English.
Thus, I provide an honest demo for you. The demo version will update all the way till the game release.
It reflects the current stage of game development in almost real-time.
As the game is one of the first and last RMXP games that’s ever being developed, I’m not exactly aiming to make it something great. (or even sane.)
Instead, it needs to be unique and fun in a way that people can rarely see nowadays, to make people laugh maniacally even in a grimdark world where both the in-game world and the life circle of RMXP are coming to an end.
Story
Welcome to our secret society of [redacted]. We are among the most ancient ones in our line of work.
For a long time, we have witnessed the rise and fall of many others.
The situation is grim, the world almost ended in 2008, 2012, 2015, and 2020.
Some people predict it will keep ending this year, next year, and the year after.
But, well, even if that’s true, even if the ending is inevitable, it is tragic, we are still alive.
So, cheer up! We shall carry on.
As long as we stand, the world shall never fall!
To the end…
Features:
Unbalanced and Unfair
Beneath the facet of the beautiful life people called “normal”, lurks the truth that this secret struggle is never fair.
There are things that can hardly be killed. They may come in great numbers to overwhelm us.
Even when not facing such a supernatural entity, a well-trained Kung-Fu master can still be killed by just a bullet.
But, We Fight on With All We Have!
We have guns and our own magics. We even learned to bind supernatural entities to our wills.
We have tools and artifacts, we have skills ranging from combat to conversation.
If there is a lock that can hardly be picked, try blowing it.
There are always solutions.
You Are Different.
Your arrival was not expected. You were not on any lists. We know little about you.
Show us, who you are and who you will become with all the perks/skills/proficiency you may develop.
We may still stand a chance against all odds with your help.
Lead us…
In This Vast World
Your loyal companions will follow you from ancient ruins to modern metropolis, from east to west.
You will meet common folks we swear to protect, watching them live their “normal” life.
You will discover mysteries, solve them when combat evil forces lurking in the dark.
The Secret History
The story behind this game:
https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/1519140/view/2986431641632413538
It’s the first Neolithic game with English localization that comes to Steam since 2004 when the first game of Neolithic was published in a dark corner of China.
_Comparing to a commercial game, this is more like a memento to the old golden age of RPG Maker XP (when indie games are really indie; when updates are free instead of being paid DLCs; when developers update games for years, even decades instead of abandon projects as soon as it’s no longer profitable; when games are made with passion instead of money-hunger; And, when RPG Maker was not used to just make those cheap adult-only games.)
This is NEOLITHIC!
There are many games out there, made with modern tools and more than 1 developer. They are supposed to be better than mine.
But, they are not. Why?_

Disc Creatures
Haven’t done everything yet, still missing a few creatures (~92% done) but i’ll share my thoughts so far:
Pro:
+A good roster of 200 creatures, with fun/interesting designs
+Varied Locations, having the colour scheme change according to locations is nice.
+A decent story, not all that exciting but did it’s job alright.
Con:
-Too little difference in stats for early game to late game/rare/hard to get creatures
-All creatures you get starts at lvl 1, so getting creatures at later locations are actually worse than getting them at the first point they are avalible, also makes the grind to get a creature you think looks nice discouraging.

One of the better monster collectors I’ve played in awhile. This game is everything I love about Dragon Quest Monsters: Terry’s Wonderland and Pokemon Red, Blue and Yellow both for the GameBoy Color and yet miles improved compared to both.
The overworld encounters make it feel like getting through an area is less of a hassle compared to the random encounters of the above games.
Having a huge skill pool for each monster to switch between makes it so you can deal with far more situations as opposed to the limitations of TMs and relearning moves in Pokemon games or inheriting skills in Dragon Quest Monsters games.

Tales of the Elements
I have beaten chapter 1. I have chapter 2 on my system however after the finale of chapter 1 I spawn out of bounds and am unable to do anything. how can i start chapter 2???

How much of this game I’ve played: 12 Hours, 35 minutes
How I’ve played so much: I had a pre-ordered non-steam copy.
Completed Main story, not the super secret boss area.
Here’s why you’d be interested in this game: Good rhymes, good story, old school gameplay.
Good rhymes: If you haven’t heard of BeNeVoLeNcE, you might have heard of Mega Ran - he’s known for clean nerdcore rhymes over chiptune beats and melodies. Hip Hop by both is featured in the game, and it’s not an “afterthought” like it might be in some games - the music is interwoven in with the story - it’s actually rewarding to gain access to the rhymes that go along with the instrumentals in different parts of the game.

COPPER ODYSSEY
This game is one of the best I’ve seen from the RPG Maker crowd. It’s non-linear, and you can technically defeat the four bosses in any order, so if you enjoy exploring weird and colorful labyrinthine worlds, check this one out for sure.
Beyond the main quest, there are TONS of secrets and optional content you can do that kept me wanting to go back. It’s very short and not that hard, so doing multiple runs with different builds looking for easter eggs is easy and fun.

Copper Odyssey is a pretty nice-looking game.
The art direction is its strongest aspect thanks to excellent character designs and a good variety of art styles.
The designs of the enemies are especially really gorgeous and very distinctive between each other (putting aside the variations of some obviously) and certain art styles manage to either enhance certain scenes pretty well or contribute to the surrealist aesthetic of the world in general.
The music gives also a positive contribution to the mix. The best themes are the ones of each world you’ll visit, making the exploration of these more satisfying.

Terrain of Magical Expertise
I was a fan of the Terrain of Magical Expertise concept since middle school after discovering it’s original iteration, TV Tome Adventures. Discovering the 2011 web series at a tad bit much later after being introduced to several alumni’s work prior to TOME (e.g. LittleKuriboh’s work with animation done by the creator of TOME himself, DBZ Abridged, etc.) was also a big shocker to me because of how much I loved the cheesy simplistic animation, story driven writing and decent voice cast. And the moment the Kickstarter was announced for this game a few years back, I was initially excited for it. After finally purchasing the game and playing 3 consecutive games of it, trying to undercover each easter egg, minigame, quest, side character and everything possible, I figured it was finally time for me to write a review. I do not want to have this review come off as mean spirit and any way and I have no hostility regards to the creator himself and any outside drama that occurred prior to the making of this game, but this review is a preparatory mix of my experience playing it beforehand, witnessing the development of the game step by step when it’s publicly announced and nitpicking each and every single aspect of what I liked and didn’t like in the game. So don’t look at how the game was not recommended and immediately think, “Oh, he says it sucks”. That’s not what I’m saying at all. I have sort of a mixed middle ground with this game and Steam does not have much options on what I should say and since this game had hardly any not-recommended options, I figured to just add one more to the already good pile of reviews which would sure knock it down of the park. If I get chewed out on it, I’m sorry but this is what I think of the game overall. So grab a snack and a drink because this is gonna be a long one….

I love TOME, I’ve always been really a big fan of it ever since the webseries, I’ve been anticipating this game for years now and I can say as a big TOME fan this has really lived up to exactly what I was looking for.
I can say that it has its few fair share of bugs here and there of which many I’ve reported on the discussion forums and on Twitter, but the only reason of which that should detract from your experience should be if the game outright stops you from playing from a bug, of which you can probably fix due to removing your previous save file from one of the previous demos, likely the Itch demo, this happened to me and I was kinda bummed but I got as far as like 10 minutes into the game so starting a new save file wasn’t a problem really, and it certainly wasn’t the developers faults. They’ve even gone into suggesting the same fix to many people and have been active about responding to people on the forums for reporting bugs, and good on them, they’re really great developers who are listening to feedback and I legitimately hope eventually we can make this game as perfect as possible.

Savior of the Abyss
TL;DR - Cute anime girl runaround the research facility to survive the nightmare and creature.
If you have spare money and time to kill then not a bad choice to try it.
Translation a bit off right now so it make story hard to understanding.
Overall the game itself not that bad pretty straight forward with multiple ending. The puzzle isn’t hard but the hint is make the player confused sometime. Horror in this game combine with sound is quite good.

”A Nod to Lovecraft Horror Experience and Question of Morality”
Savior of the Abyss (SotA) is indie horror adventure game developed by small Korean team. You play as a young girl named Stella; suddenly wake up in some kind of underground facility which is now full of corpses and bloody massacre. Guiding Stella to escape the nightmare and avoid unknown threats is the ultimate goal of this game.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2587958912
As you progress through the level and learning story from notes and events. SotA heavily takes inspiration from Lovecraftian / eldritch horror represented in RPG maker style and anime character sprite. The mixture between Lovecraft element, paranormal, and splatterpunk horror is well executed that sometimes catch me off guard or punish your curiosity. It’s an unforgiving experience, but intriguing by its settings, lore, and ethical that shift between horror and thriller with multiple endings.
