Dance Collider
Game provided via the Steam Curator program.
Dance Collider is a VR rhythm game.
There are a couple of games of this genre already so how does Dance Collider stand among them? I believe it’s one of the best. I’m having a lot of fun while playing it, unlike other rhythm games moves here actually make sense which makes it even more enjoyable. While in Beat Saber you are forced to make random erratic movements trying to hit the boxes(let’s face it people who make custom songs there have no idea what they are doing), here in Dance Collider your movements are much like dancing. You are punching nodes by the rhythm of a song/tune. The visuals are wonderful, not too much on the eye and not too little. Despite me not being fan of dubstep and modern electronic music I do think the sound effects and the music included are excellent to get your groove on. What makes this even better is that you choose characters which act as your opponent. Each of them has unique style and has different tunes. Movement is fluid with no tracking issues.

TL;DR: For an already small selection of titles Dance Collider is a must have title for any rhythm game enthusiasts that want to get into a cyberpunk themed dance battle.
The review:
If you want to find out what “you’re yoghurt” is continue reading.
The Street Fighter of dance battles set in a variety of distinctive arenas that give off a strong cyberpunk vibe. Each character has a unique musical style and special move to keep you moving. The idea of a dancing off vs a character that taunts you occassionally gives you a better sense of purpose rather than just dancing alone in a game racking up points.

Mod and Play
I was a mod creator of Mod and Play, you see my props and level ports and even a pack of some old models I made in school. What do I think of this game?
Don’t buy it. Garry’s Mod is better, and if you want a next-gen of it then look into Modiverse, which is to be released January 29th. The game aims to be way better than Mod and Play, and the developer is actually skilled in Unreal and is very helpful with modders and gives proper documentation to his SDK which are project files that work in the normal Unreal Engine, so all plugins are supported. The link to their Discord server is right here and I suggest you guys check it out: https://discord.gg/XUSereXTFU

Had very high hopes for the game but it is apparent that the Dev has no care in the world about the community.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY…
The community discord is a load of hopeful gamers asking for the content they paid for only to get shot down by the sad reality that the Dev is highly irresponsible and unprofessional. A few reasons to save your cash.
-
Constant promise of updates for 5 months with nothing to show for it.
-
Developer with poor communication skills and no care for his community.

Project Heartbeat
I love this game. It’s just..it’s great.
Fun Stuff:
I played PPD before I got Project Heartbeat. And I have to say, if you are currently a PPD player considering getting this game. Do it. Now. The controls in this game are much less janky than they are in PPD, you aren’t punished for needing to use both sides of your controller to play (CSInput not allowing leaderboard entries :/). And getting charts made by the community is much less of a hassle in PH.
The F2nd play-style is so much better in PH in comparison to PPD too. Star notes (Heart notes), specifically, are handled way better here

2021-07-01 edit: (negatives/feedback)
The song list needs an overhaul. The current source filters and sorting get more useless as songs pile up. A “missing media” filter would also be nice but there is at least an icon for it.
Have the in-game Workshop use more of the screen.
Random buttons. I’m here to play not scroll. One on the song list and the results/pause screen to save time. Let me never see the song list.
Improve menu controls. Better click targets, right click as back, and controllers in non-menus. Currently the mouse cannot leave the song list and only the mouse can close the PPD manager window (if stumbled into).

This is a great game where you can change the game as you play it! It’s still in early access, but the idea is amazing, and I am looking forward to see where it goes as it is developed!

Dracula’s Castle
Manage the castle by expanding it, then build and unlock new rooms granting new mechanics to explore. The Alchemist will allow you to equip Dracula with mystical tools, unlock the bat cave to improve Dracula’s Mist Form. The more you expand, the more your labour force can grow. You’ll need to grow your army of servants in order to accumulate enough soil to sail to England on the Demeter.
Travel Transylvania by night but watch out for Van Helsing. Stalk the towns of Transylvania, on the hunt for fresh blood, or attempt to overwhelm them to gain powerful bonuses. Feast, recruit laborers or “invite” a guest to the castle, the choice is yours. You’ll need to entrap Jonathan Harker to fulfill Dracula’s dark designs.
Grow Dracula’s power the way you want to. Dracula possesses different attributes such as Power, Cunning, Speed, Charm and Magick. Choose which ones to train and equip the right relics for your build. Build new monsters at the Alchemist’s Lab utilising recipes found in the Necronomicon! Craft or acquire new gear throughout your adventure.
Engage angry mobs, town militia and even dedicated vampire hunters in exciting tactical turn-based combat. Leverage Dracula’s powerful abilities and forms to outwit and overwhelm the enemy. The spoils of battle are yours! Hand over curios and materiel to the Castle Alchemist to craft new items and raise new monsters to join Dracula’s dark menagerie.
Follow the early plot of Bram Stoker’s masterpiece, the main goal centers around Jonathan Harker, Van Helsing and the trip to Carfax Abbey in England; but plenty needs doing in the dark corners of Transylvania. Engage in various side-quests given to you by Death and other denizens of the castle as you work on building up Dracula’s regional power.
Hellbreaker
The dev posted a thread about this a few years ago and I picked it up. The movement is fast and fun, and the guns are very satisfying. I had a performance hiccup once in the outdoor level but it got fixed, and thanks to the limited visuals it runs at full blast with 100+ enemies on screen with no issues. Good art direction keeps the game looking nice despite those visuals and there’s good variety in how the levels look and play. Chasing gold medals is extremely fun and the game is very straightforward with the criteria for a gold rank, a big plus. If you like Doom, Quake, or UT this game is a great deal for a few afternoon’s worth of fun, I’m looking forward to what this developer does next.

Hellbreaker is a fun game, not sure why it didn’t got more attention…
Looks like it flew under everyone’s radar, haha where are those so called “influencers” when you need them ?
Non stop fast paced action, put your brain aside and kill everything type of game.
Nothing really good though, it could have been better if it was a bit more polished and balanced.

I’m getting some QUAKE II vibes with the levels artstyle and ennemies design.

Race.a.bit
It’s been a while since i had fun with a game who do aim “retrogamers”. As usually they are all the same… But right now i finally found one that can handle most of my needs.
Pro:
It will remind you Slick’n’Slide but in a good way
Music quality
In-game racetrack editor encourages pixel arts which help to give a unique atmosphere to each of our creations.
Control intuitiveness
Compatible with a gamepad
Subtleties of power-ups, obstacles, traps, etc. make this game having a very long longevity
Con:

Can’t recommend at this price, unless you are a die hard retro top down race fan.
The game itself is kind of fun. I played through all the included tracks and enjoyed it for the most part. The retro graphics are an eye sore for many and the AI is pretty inconsistent, yet there is a bit of charm to the overall feel. The controls are fairly smooth and there is a neat level editor included which opens the doors to tons of potential community content. In the end though, it is too short, too retro and too pricey to recommend.

Type Up
so i have play this Type Up game and i think my typing skills improved, i would very recommend buying this game if you want typing challenge and like growth at the same time than this is the game for you. The Dav did a good work on Type Up but there is only few things that need to be add to the game like spending more points because almost have 27 points and i max out everything so is kind of pointless playing the game besides typing that really it, can’t wait to see the next update if there is a update to the game.

Written for 1561’s Thoughts - Honest reviews, for busy people.
Type Up is a simple typing game where your score increases the size of your character. The UI is rather low quality, and the game loses all of your settings whenever you finish a round. 4/10
