Horns of Justice

Horns of Justice

Horns of Justice is a brutal sports MOBA. It is inspired by the MOBA genre and has added the elements of ball sports to the mix. The brutal part comes from the resources you can employ; weapons, spells and basic melee moves. These help you in taking possession of the ball, scoring goals and defending your own goal. It is the tension between the sports field play element and the violence of the MOBA element that creates the dynamic gameplay which makes Horns of Justice the unique game it is.

Pick your style

In the arena the aim is simple: Score a goal. The way you achieve it is up to you. Good old brute force, powerful spells with nasty side effects, or clever ball-passing tactics. Stick with a style or pick your own by blending all the elements into a dynamic strategy that rules the arena.

Online Multiplayer Matches

Join or create a team and play matches online against other teams. Choose your player from a roster of different characters each from one of 6 classes and master their unique abilities and weapons. Choose a fighting ground from a multitude of arenas and engage in single or multiple matches. Become the ultimate player by enrolling in the deadliest tournament in history.

Single Player Campaign

Get to know Horns of Justice’s fascinating universe and characters by playing through the single player’s tournament. Guided by an animated branching storyline where your decisions affect the outcome, this 5 hour campaign offers a tournament that takes you trough dramatic highs and lows.

Learn why the tournament exists and discover its dark origins.

You can play 2 player local. I don’t believe you can play online. Though the game play itself is not bad, the concept of single player game is bad. You start with 6000 coins and can play a single match betting 0, 100, 500 or 1000 coins. If you win, you get more coins and can buy better looking cues. If you eventually lose all your coins, then you will need to in purchase coins. There’s no point of this game, there’s no tournaments or multiple opponents. Opponents always about the same ability, they’re pretty good.

I would reccomend this to people who have played the web version and been following this steam version for over a year now on reddit, really glad it is here.

I would play the web version first if this is your first time.

Only thing I would like is if we could have custom backgrounds?

The Gukurahundi was a series of massacres of Ndebele civilians carried out by the Zimbabwe National Army from early 1983 to late 1987. It derives from a Shona language term which loosely translates to “the early rain which washes away the chaff before the spring rains”.[6]

During the Rhodesian Bush War two rival nationalist parties, Robert Mugabe’s Zimbabwe African National Union (ZANU) and Joshua Nkomo’s Zimbabwe African People’s Union (ZAPU), had emerged to challenge Rhodesia’s predominantly white government.[7] ZANU initially defined Gukurahundi as an ideological strategy aimed at carrying the war into major settlements and individual homesteads.[8] Following Mugabe’s ascension to power, his government remained threatened by “dissidents” – disgruntled former guerrillas and supporters of ZAPU.[4]

Monday Night Combat

Monday Night Combat

This game is a ton of fun.

It’s set in a gameshow in the future where you play as a contestent (one of 6 classes – Sniper, Support, Tank, Gunner, Assault, Assassin). There are 2 modes crossfire (PvP) and Blitz (Co-op). Crossfire is the mode that I play the most. Basically it’s a 6 on 6 arena where your goal is to get your team’s bots past the enemy’s turrets in order to take down their moneyball. Once the moneyball’s shields are down, you can attack it. Lots of strategy is involved though due to the varying skills that each of the classes come armed with. You’ll need to take out enemy players, enemy bots and enemy turrets before you can get your bots in. There are environmental hazards you can use to your advantage, you can upgrade yourself in-game, you can buy/upgrade turrets, and you can even purchase additional bots to come help you out.

A simple fast paced team based shooter with moba like elements, pick from one of 6 classes each with their own unique skills and abillities. All classes have their strengths and weaknesses each with their own personality. Monday Night Combat is my favourite game on steam and always will be! Unfortunately the games playerbase is very limited, but with the help of the MNC community games are organised regularly. So don’t threat too much about never being able to play. The commentator of the game spews out hilarious dialogue about your situation and the teams performance, the game even has a mascot that appears on the field that you can shoot for money and prizes!

VolleyBrawl

VolleyBrawl is a futuristic Volleyball style game played by robotic competitors. Play in the steel arena with a variety of different robots combining tactics, skill, teamwork and aggression to win the match. Work solo with your AI team or with some friends as you combine a variety of tactics to ultimately dominate the game. Pass to a teammate to create the perfect assault, protect your side with your magnetic field, or use your unique special to throw the enemy off their game. Are your bolts big enough to be the champion of this electrified arena?

TLDR

the Managment stuff is a boring minigame to fill bars and the gameplay itself is a static rng mess ; the stats of players and developing them feels too linear and doesn’t provide enough options. No Teamfights not much active managment in game no hero comp buildings, Picks and Bans are too similar atm. Jungle feels so useless and is too much of a lottery. So even Early Access has a long way to get thumbed up and the publisher is sadly tainted with sort of abandoning other projects let’s hope for the best.

This is a “not yet” recommendation, because there’s a lot of fun to be had in this game, but right now it’s so wildly imbalanced.

But first, the good stuff:

-Fun premise

-The MOBA mini game is neat

-Character progression

-Character customization

-Ladder scaling premise is fun

-Decent variety of things to manage

As for the “needs to be fixed for this to be fun” part:

-Chemistry, as a research method, is very broken/overpowered. Potentially getting to take twice as many turns as your opponent does swings the RNG so wildly in your favor that it becomes very difficult to lose, even as a team with a rating of 59-62, I was consistently able to beat teams with ratings up to 74.

100% garbage game. POS.

The best summary of this game is that there’s a button on the title screen that says “Immediate Start”; I click on it and nothing happens.

Generally sluggish and weird. Starts with a very long loading screen, and then to actually play a game I had to wait for more loading (meeting all minimum specs and then some). The English text is so confusing I had to guess at what I was doing. It’s a pity because I quite liked the aesthetic of it.

Full stop, this game is D..E..D Dead. You can find some random games every now and then but there should be no expectation to join random lobbies as the game died off years ago. You should only aim to purchase this title if you have friends that will be playing with you. I do check randomly for games but they are typically locked or just a 10 wave.

That being said you should add this game to your Wishlist and grab the 5 pack bundle when it goes on Sale. I think this game is worth 25 bucks for the 5 pack and it is a steal if your group of friends like these survival wave based games. This game is best enjoyed in groups of 4 or 5 in my opinion. Three is a decent time but you won’t be pushing as hard as it is harder to cover map objectives on the harder difficulties.

A year or so back I purchased the Fatshark Bundle for myself and a friend. At first glance all the games looked entertaining and the reviews were good. Letting the game run for cards it unlocked one achievement and in doing so dropped my overall percentage score, it is because of this that I have played this game a lot sooner than I was planning.

Before I get into the details of why you shouldn’t purchase this game let me tell you what’s good about it first. The game itself looks good and runs smoothly at 60fps. The gladiators/arena remind me of Borderlands with it’s wise cracking commentator and post apocalyptic atmosphere. It shares the same universe as Krater, so if you wish to find out more details about this world you can do so if you please. Your character’s upgrade system although improperly balanced is fairly fleshed out, allowing for a wide variety of customisation. It’s got achievements, trading cards, a cloud save, and cooperative play, all of which work perfectly.
