FINAL FANTASY® XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition

FINAL FANTASY® XI: Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition

This game is not for everyone. Many people coming from other MMOs seem to often misunderstand that the design of FFXI is simply made with a philosophy that is quite different. Consequently, this seems to lead some to go into it expecting the game to try and accomplish a lot of the goals that are now standard in the genre. I believe this unfortunately sours the experience for many. Nevertheless, if you are willing to set aside your notions of what MMOs should be and do, there is a great experience waiting for you in FFXI.

Idk where to begin or how to end on this review. Ima just try to make it short (Maybe it will be long) and simple. Btw my main character name is “Ghostmonkey”, for those who want to add me.

The Pros:

-The game does indeed have a good amount of players, if you know which server to join.

Asura is the one for non-japanese players and most populated.

So don’t be discouraged to buy the game if you are concerned about the game being dead.

-Another note is how friendly the community is. I started in my first 2 and a half minutes and already approached by a veteran.

Note: I played this game completely F2P (more on this) and was considered a top damage dealer(AKA DPS) before I quit the game in April 2020. I will try to say a few things to help you make up your mind before you start the game.

Tree of Savior is a F2P game, but you will find yourself struggle if you’re not a casual that doesn’t care about how strong your character is. There are ways to earn in game currency, and it’s definitely doable, but know that you will always see players who spend money have it way easier. This game is very P2W (Pay to Win).

Hello readers, here is an informed review on this title.

Tree of savior suffered from the work of uncaring developers and caused it’s own backlash to begin with. The game has from that point been unable to amount a comeback. IMC brought it upon themselves for ignoring the community.

In recent times it has begun to make improvements and changes for the better, but mistakes hamper the game to this day and in some cases gotten worse with time. I will cover the aspects of the game for anyone reading that may be interested in playing and what you can find if you do.

TLDR

Regardless of whether you’re a veteran; returning to indulge in some nostalgia, or a complete newcomer who has taken an interest. STOP. Don’t install this. If you already did, uninstall it.

Installing the Game

If you can actually run this game without blue screening your computer from a false positive, detected by their anti-cheat for having a resolution greater than 1920x1080, then please continue to read on for what else plagues this piece of crap.

After 2 weeks of coming back, it is obvious that this game is cashing out on its old legacy. It used to be an amazing game I admitted. But if you’re looking to come back for the good old days, there’s not much iRO can offer here.

  1. Pay2Win system:

It is against term of service to purchase in-game gold (zeny) using real cash. Yet it is ok to sell your warp portal energies into zeny ( which is obtained by cash). So the only way to cheat is to give money to WarpPortal.

Cash shop items also rendered many other in-game gear useless. And the only way to upgrade safely to +9 is to choke up $20-$50 in game cash for it.

Old School RuneScape

Old School RuneScape

I have played this very addicting Java based medieval fantasy point-‘n’-click RNG-simulator (Old School RuneScape) since its launch in 2013 - to this date, I have 4,600+ hours of total time played clocked in. Unlike many others, I do not have any alt accounts (yet) - and yet I’m still not even maxed. Total level 2100/2277.

“OSRS” is a copy of RuneScape from August 2007 (in other words; legacy version of RuneScape) (with game updates until that date; meaning no Evolution of Combat, no trade limit (free trade) or the removal of the wilderness) - but the game hasn’t stayed all the same in the past eight years.

There isn’t any other game quite like OSRS. It is an open-world retro MMO with many skills to level, bosses to fight, and quests to complete. It is fairly simple in its controls and most of its mechanics, but it can still offer challenging and complex gameplay. There is no central storyline to complete in favor of smaller quests to build the world, focusing more on story and puzzles than just running around and killing stuff. The game has a lot of content to explore and what you go for is really up to what you want to do.

Onigiri

Either you love it OR you hate it. A BIT cliche of an opener, I know, but if you don’t come into this game and it’s community with a specific mindset you’re simply not going to like it. I’ve been playing this game since it launched on steam, and before the Steam version I played the PC US version which launched in December 2013. I’ve always had a soft spot for Onigiri, as it is one of the VERY FEW surviving Anime MMORPGs! However, this game is by no means perfect. And I’ll be putting all nostalgic bias aside in this review.

Real player with 2515.6 hrs in game

The game is overly complicated with no explanations. You will spend a lot of time on wiki. There is a problem with DC’s, I mean you will get DCed probably within 10 mins of playing and it will continue through playing. The weapon system sucks u need items for every aspect of crafting… even repairs. That means if you don’t have them…. your weapon gets wrecked if fail, your 1st weapon smelt can fail which is dumb as all hell. Did I miss anything… oh right the language isn’t fully translated on some NPC’s which makes quests difficult…and also means they pretty much said screw it and stopped trying to make the game better. Bad feeling about this game like it might be dying due to the fact the creators gave up? RNG and bad weapon system with huge DC’s is it worth the nonsense? Break my weapons, waste my time…to bad for you clowns.

Really love the game. Now playing it over 1 year and still having fun with all the content. Zenimax is bringing every year new content and there are a lot events within the game you can join. Its great to play alone or with friends or also with strangers you can meet in the game. :)

1 or 2 times per year its possible to play the game free and if you like it I recomment to buy the base game with the DLC together. Take a good look at the description at the different versions on Steam, but it says clearly what in which version is included and what not.

Good points :

  • Beautiful for a MMORPG

  • More The Elder Scrolls lore

  • Bosses are god tier

  • You can meet Sheogorath

  • Only TESO have the most charismatic Khajiit ever : Razum-Dar

  • The main quests on each different places are great ( better than the main in my opinion )

Bad points :

  • Updates = 75% of my 700 hours

  • Can lag easily if there are to much persons in the same place ( like in events )

  • Bosses are god tier

  • The EUW server is often down

  • You can’t marry Razum-Dar

  • All the players looks the same, character customisation is a meh/20

Age of Conan: Unchained

Age of Conan: Unchained

A couple of weeks ago I noticed AoC:U has gone F2P, so I got curious and installed it. I’m now at level 41 and have found no reason to hate this game. Actually, I love it. You can’t hate a game in which boobs and booties play such an important role, can you? The graphics may be a little dated, but the game mechanics are quite solid, the quest design is good, the game balance is good, the boob modeling is great, glitches are rare and I’m yet to experience a CTD. The only thing that’s not working for me is the crafting system, which doesn’t seem to be doing anything, or maybe I’m doing something wrong. I’m pretty sure you can get to level 80 without crafting a single thing, so it’s not such a great problem, really. As for the size of the game universe, I’m still discovering new areas at level 41, so I can’t complain about that. On the whole, I find the game quite pleasing and entertaining. It’s been around for years, so it’s a finished product, which simply works. By modern standards, the game is a 9/10, but by the standards of its time, it’s a 10/10. Being free to play, I’d say it’s excellent value. Unlike some games, this one is actually fully playable without having to make a single online purchase or microtransaction, so it’s even greater value. You can speed up your progress by buying some better gear, but why bother, if you can advance 41 levels in two weeks, using nothing but gear you’ve taken off dead enemies or received as quest rewards?

Real player with 283.3 hrs in game

This game had some rough early days. Graphically the game was way ahead of it’s time when it was released, you needed top end pc’s to play on high graphics. The lack of content didn’t help either, this among other things resulted in bad rep for the game which led to a mass exodus of players. The game never recovered from this and as a result funcom decided to invest less and less resources into the game. However the game is now in a much better state than it used to be. And if this game waited a couple of years it could have suceeded.

After thousands of hours playing on JP since 2014 as a Solo Player, and already a thousands hours on NA (sadly once again as a Solo Player), I have come to give you this advice that you will desperately need:

Don’t feed your MAG till you do research

Don’t go to block 69 if you’re streaming Block 69 has been removed. RIP hentai lovers. (I think they are migrating to block 34 because you know…rule 34…)

The Review has been edited to an extent, I am only playing the game at this rate to collect game-time because this is the game with my highest playtime on steam. I have not done any content for weeks infact. I am even slowly losing interest in this aspect.

Edit 5: I am tired.

SEGA sent mmoloda C&D to tell them to take down all pictures they had that was taken INGAME, with INGAME fashion and INGAME poses.

Y-yeah, sell us fashion that you end up wanting us to take down, more $90 scratch rewards please!!!!

The game is definitely not the same as many people remember it. The game has evolved to be more up to date as compared to other MMO’s out there while keeping it’s charm. I’ve had many friends and memories on this game and for that i thank Jagex.

There is a bit of everything for everyone. lets start with skills.

Introduction

I have been playing Runescape for a total of 10.000+ hours for the last 10 years. This game is really enjoyable and has so much to offer! Very different from other MMORPG games. Now lets get on with the review.

Runescape

is a game made by the company Jagex. Runescape has been around since 2001. That version is now called Runescape Classic. That version is not available anymore. Runescape can be played in two versions, Runescape 3 and Old School Runescape. I will introduce OSRS in this review aswell. Both games have a very stable and high player base. This version of the game is Runescape 3. I personally play both games because they are very different from each other and offer different content such as bosses and raids. Both games are really enjoyable. This review is made about Runescape 3.
