Minimalist Space War

Minimalist Space War

It’s a good game for a good price. It made me feel very nostalgic! It starts off easy, than gets progressively harder. Just what you’d expect in a space shooter game. Recommended!

Simple but aesthetic.

But need more optimizations (not really big problem but particles are not optimized I think.)

tl;dr - If you’re even mildly interested in the genre and you like the aesthetic, this game is 100% worth your time.

Fantastic bullet hell game. The bullet patterns are creative and beautiful, and are complemented by the music so well. This game is art condensed into a bullet hell game. Bosses in particular have some of the coolest bullet patterns I’ve ever seen in this genre, being both fun to learn and gorgeous to look at.

It is both difficult yet forgiving. It’s easy to die, but the game gives you so many lives that it’s not hard to beat the game on your first try. Yet you’ll want to come back to see if you can improve your personal best.

Airplane shooting spree

Airplane shooting spree

Leo pilots the fighter to highlight the enemy’s encirclement. You can shoot the plane or effectively avoid the opposite plane by moving the mouse left and right. You can move back and forth to get more supplies to help break through

There are three types of supply

Red: single shot becomes double shot. If you break through in time, it becomes three shot

Gray: you can summon one aid to attack and destroy the enemy in full screen, but it will not change in a limited time breakthrough

Armada Skies

Armada Skies

Pros:

  • Decent graphics.

  • It offers some fun.

  • A bunch of weapons to try.

Cons:

  • You start with a very low speed until you buy better parts.

  • Movement is kind of weird, like the collision isn’t perfect.

  • Most weapons are kind of useless.

  • Some bosses towards the end of the game take years to kill.

  • It has some bugs like not ending the level after defeating the boss, so I had to restart the level.

  • Bad visual effects. They feel too static.

The game had potential but towards the end it’s not very good because of the problems. With more polish it could have been much much better.

Dear god it’s beautiful. My premonitions used to manifest in visions of utter terror and desolation, humankind wiped from this earth like excrement from a boot.

But now, thanks to the420, I see fields of green, red roses too. Play this game, if only to say you have become a part of what makes gaming good.

Super Glitter Rush

Super Glitter Rush

Super Glitter Rush is a cute and amusing little Boss Rush shoot’em up. Shots cost energy which you can earn by collecting coins you get from shooting into enemy bullets and flinging them back and by picking up special enemy bullets that are safe. The amount of bullets that hit the boss with your shot is your chain. Chains are not cumulative, however you can increase the chain value of your shot if it’s deflected back. The higher the chain value the more damage you deal.

There are several characters and pallettes to unlock.

This is a super short but fun and frantic bullet hell shmup where the goal is to shoot when a lot of projectiles are lined up between you and the enemy to send them flying back in your enemy’s face for maximum damage. The music and graphics are fun and cute and give a very pleasant feel while you cause carnage. I really enjoyed the throwback CRT graphics on some of the stages.

The only really qualms I have is that I’ve encountered a bug where playing as Jasper against Bookie Box caused them to stop moving when I shot the little present box, and I had to restart the battle!

DRUM’N’BASS MASSACRE

DRUM’N’BASS MASSACRE

good pick up and play type game. Highly recommend for anyone who has change to spare

pros:

  • I love the mechanics. Movement is simple enough to understand immediately, but hard to completely master. It reminds me of a good Atari 2600 game

  • The music and art continue to feel fresh despite reuse

  • satisfying sound effects

  • low price

cons:

  • the music and samples could be a little bit stronger

  • closing the game with the in-game X button freezes it, and it’s a slight inconvenience to have to remember to alt + f4 every time

Fun Game, low cost and easy mechanics

but

it has so many “bugs” (they aren’t bug cuz is a bad programming problem, not an error)

-because planes collision box some of them will go outside the map so you can’t complete the level

-you can’t go fast cause the camera doesn’t follow you correctly on the borders of the map and some spikes are randomly placed so you can’t dodge them in time

-you’re suppose to learn the map to fly freely, but you don’t have a mini-map to follow and the map is bigger than what your memory can handle\

Two by One

Two by One

Have you ever wanted an extra gun to face the enemy with? A way to destroy the boss twice as fast? Or to cover twice as much space with bullets? Then this game is made for you. But beware, because the price of having twice as many guns is having to protect all of them.

Two by One is a Shoot’Em Up that tasks you with controlling two ships simultaneously in order to progress. Enemies that would be invincible with a single ship become beatable with two. Threats that’d fill the screen with bullets disappear before they can shoot a single one.

Yet at the same time you have twice as many weak points. A safe spot for one ship might not be safe for the other, and a single hit on one of them means death for both.

Too intimidating? Then bring a friend to take over one of the ships and work together to overcome the challenge! Just make sure he doesn’t end up sending even more bullets in your direction.

Features

  • A challenge like you’ve never faced before: 75 stages with 3 bosses, all of them designed to test your skills, reflexes and perseverance.

  • Live, die, repeat, win: Levels are short and respawns fast, so that death isn’t a setback, but just another step in the path to victory.

  • Massive Bosses: Endurance runs where the question is how long you can dodge for.

  • Style: Stylish graphics that stand out like black against white.

  • Local co-op multiplayer: Bring a friend to help out and then make the bullets meant for you go in his direction.
