Castle Constructor

Castle Constructor

This game is way too addictive weirdly enough, there’s already so many things in the game (as of posting this it isn’t fully released) you can almost never get bored, after loading it up for the first time I played 8 hours straight of the game!

great little game, with lots of potential, a little buggy when it comes to the enemy ai and spawning but otherwise amazing. Hexagons are just perfect for star fortress fun

Misericorde: Volume One

Misericorde: Volume One

The year is 1482.

The age of exploration and enlightenment is on the distant horizon and the Renaissance is in full swing across Europe; but in England, the War of the Roses is in its final throes. Change is coming, but in one little convent in the north of the kingdom, everyone has seemed blissfully unaware.

Everyone except Sister Catherine, a beloved nun and firebrand thinker who has just been murdered. In an isolated monastery with an already mysterious reputation, any one of the Sisters could be the killer—and Mother Superior is as stumped as anyone else. That’s where you come in.

As an Anchoress, you took an oath to never leave your cell; to devote yourself entirely to God and provide spiritual support to all who came to your door. But as the only Sister who couldn’t possibly have committed the crime, you have a new mission: solve the case, before the bishop shutters the convent and the killer goes unpunished.

The Superior hasn’t told everyone why you’ve suddenly joined the regular congregation, but something tells you most of these women know exactly what’s going on. Who can you trust? Who is being honest, and who has their guard up—and why? Is the convent really haunted? Who killed Sister Catherine? And worst of all… are you next?

Knight’s Retreat

Knight’s Retreat

Knight’s Retreat is a simple chess-themed puzzler which requires careful planning to complete its 80 stages. While the difficulty isn’t consistent, it’s easy enough to play in short sessions, ideal for break times or multiplayer queues. It’s cheap, suitable for all ages, and awards achievements for completion.
Pros

✅ Easy to understand, with ample tutorial stages

✅ Pleasing low poly design, including different environments

✅ Chill music and SFX

✅ Multiple mechanics (sliding panels, flip switches, linked pieces)

Too many bugs when using the undo button, such as some tiles becoming inaccessible, and sometimes it seems to undo a few moves at once at once (I’m not certain of this, but I sometimes notice that a few of my knights have somehow moved backwards on their own, which I assume was caused by me while undoing a different move), and when you move a piece onto a tile with a button and then undo the move, the effect of the button is reversed but the piece remains on the button. This game only allows you to undo one move per turn, so you can imagine how frustrating it can be when the undo button is as wonky as it is. This isn’t a problem for most levels, as this is a relatively easy puzzle game, but there is one particular level near the end that is significantly more complicated than the rest which I’ve been trying hard to solve, but the wonkiness of the undo button keeps forcing me to restart the whole level, which eventually led to me giving up on it.

Reigns: Game of Thrones

The only reason I don’t recommend this game is that it doesn’t seem like anyone really knows what’s going on. This is a spin-off of another series of games with the exact same mechanics, so it naturally does yourself no favors for this to be your first time playing this sort of game, as the case is with me. Like other reviewers have mentioned, it’s never clear how your actions will be taken (whether you will increase or decrease certain bars). Not only that, but when you leave for the Wall, you are unable to see how your actions are affecting others. Luck, rather than skill, is what determines how far you get even if you manage to memorize what the cards do. Certain key events sometimes don’t happen until far too late. You are almost always praying that something will show up that will raise or low a bar that is in critical danger of triggering a death state.

edit : 28.01.19 / The main story does work but 2x achievements are broken and you cant unlock the whole story/cards.Its been a while now……

///

  • Me after 2-4 hours Reigns:GOT (while quitting multiple times) - F* it. Everything scripted and random. Cant even survive 20 damn moons. Very weak mechanics.

  • Me after 4-8 hours Reigns:GOT - Okay.ok. I get it. Mechanics are not THAT dumb, and there might be a bigger storyline behind unlocking characters and the good old 3-eyed raven. Lets give it a go.

Warcube

Warcube

Warcube is a fast-paced combat game. Obviously, because if you are the intelligent individual you are, you read the description before reading reviews. Now on to the actual review. I am going to be doing a 10/10 review on Graphics, sound, etc.

–————————————————————————————————

Graphics

The graphics in this game are cartoony and I can see how that might make some people look the other way but hang in there. The graphics are not at all realistic in any way, meaning they are minimalistic, simplistic, and cartooney as mentioned previously. I personally like the simplistic graphics but I still think they could use some work.

Like shadow of mordor, but cool.

For real though, I’ve been with this game since “day one,” and though it is still in development and it has all the bugs to show for it, it has been enormously fun, despite using such small cubes. Now, my sarcastic comment about shadow of mordor is actually not too far off. The individual enemies lack various traits, and there are not many special moves so far, but otherwise, it plays like one would expect a top-down version of shadow of mordor should. I am not saying that this is a simple copycat game, oh no, this is a game that is going against the grain to be unique, and it doesn’t cut corners doing it. There is no need to take a chance when you roll with these cubes.
