Nira

Nira

Nira is a pixel based RPG which heavily reminds me of the old Holy Grail on the Atari 800 from back in the 80s.

The price is very generous for the content, hard time, and updates to come.

I purchased this game moment it was released as I could not bare to be without Nira once the beta ended.

I had the opportunity to play this game and help with debugging and suggestions along with many others who helped out as well.

The game is quite simple to learn, and very enjoyable. It’s one of those games you start playing then realize the day flew by.

I’ve been really enjoying playing Nira, so far, I know it’s early days right now but I find the gameplay engaging and the items satisfying to obtain and use.

It’s very easy to get into; the way that the tools progress leads you nicely through the crafting tree, the combat is simple and rewarding (especially once you have gathered enough resources for projectile weapons), and I enjoy the foraging/farming aspect, it’s nice to see crops that you have gathered, or traded for, grow.

I cannot speak to the multiplayer myself, as I have yet to try it, but I enjoy the single player mode immensely.

English:

Game installs problem-free on Windows 10.

At the start of the game, the first problem comes to light:

you are immediately in the game - without any possible volume settings etc.

Also no help, which functions there are in the game …

You are constantly playing in the same screen area and can only click left or right to change direction or to shoot around there, with the figure itself running in the previously selected direction within the screen area, which is why you find death quickly and often, especially since the opponent is simply short show up without warning. So a very chaotic control and programming.

Jurassic Fantasy

I really enjoyed this game!

At first I completely missed that you could put points into your stats by clicking on them so I moved around at the lowest speed, attack and defense which, needless to say, didn’t go well at all.

However, once I figured out how to increase stats it became 100x more enjoyable!

I eagerly await Jurassic Fantasy II!

I’m really enjoying this game, but each time I play, the game ends up going to a black screen at some random point (typically ~10-20 minutes in) and it shows a picture of a sad computer. There’s no way to back out of that and return to the game. I wouldn’t mind so much if there was a way to save/not start over every time it happens. Any assistance would be appreciated!

4/22/21 Edit: I’m sorry, I really like the game, but I have to recommend against it at this point because it keeps crashing before I can finish it.

Lab Craft Survival

Lab Craft Survival

This is a difficult survival sandbox game that doesn’t hold your hand. If you like figuring things out yourself and discovering hidden game mechanics, you’ll enjoy this game. If you don’t have a high tolerance for failing though, you might find the game frustrating.

It’s definitely rough around the edges with several bugs and translation errors, and updates have been non-existent. If you’re looking for polish in a game, you won’t find it here, although overall I found it enjoyable.

An interesting game, a simple but addictive indie toy to use the skills of adaptation in an unknown environment. Top for your money

Mortal box

Mortal box

overall it’s a pretty good game.

it’s quite simple every player haves a target to chase, as well it’s the target of someone else. like a catching mice kind of gameplay in 6 faces of a cube.

there are some power-up based on math. that may benefit you or harm you harm you. it could be hard to understand this kind of perks but once you get used to it it’s pretty easy.

the AI it’s ok. but the main mode it’s to play it with 2 friends

so does worth the price? yeah, it’s a pretty simple game but for 2 dollar it’s worth.

Something Strange in the Woods

Something Strange in the Woods

Something Strange in the Woods is a Unity asset flip from serial scam artists, INFINITE BRIDGE. In this case I’m not 100% sure which asset/game template they’ve ripped off, but I’m sure it is one. Why? Because they do this crap all the time. Here’s a list of the other ones they’ve done that I’ve seen so far:

Zombie Simulator

I was really pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this game - especially given it’s low price. I played with the Steam Controller and found the partial support a little frustrating at times (I switched back to keyboard for a couple of precision jumps) but overall it didn’t really impact the gameplay. The graphics are good enough for what the game is and the swarming of the zombie horde is very nice. Of course, it would be nice to have more than twelve levels but for £0.79 who can complain - the levels that are there have some nice variations on the basic theme. I like it. I like it a lot. It’s a nice way to unwind if you have a few minutes to spare and some tensions to release ;)

In summary, I can’t recommend Zombie Simulator, it’s a good concept that’s weighed down by overly simplified gameplay and repetitive objectives. It lacks challenge, engagement, and fun - with no replayability, there’s little reason to pick it up.

You are an unnamed protagonist trying to face her horrors which stem from childhood but have matured and carried unto adulthood. Listen as she narrates of her past and try to make it to the end, for some much needed closure~
