Recommended with a few exceptions.

It’s a mini-golf puzzle reflex arcade bullet-hell(?) game. Dragging the mouse for power and aiming is pretty standard. Difficulty varies wildly so expect some levels to frustrate.

Where it’s let down is with the controls, you’re supposed to click and drag then let go to shoot, except often randomly the mouse ‘sticks’ and then requires an extra click to shoot, I’ve no idea why and it’s the biggest cause of all my failures on each level. Also the drag bar is difficult to judge the power/aim and will have you rocketing across the level in the wrong direction where only a nudge was necessary.

The writing for this is really funny, interesting, and well-done: a science-fiction comedy about AI, physics, computing, determinism, cryptocurrency, psychology, space, that has you questioning the meaning of life. There are even “ads” that the AI makes you click on that link to an external website with bizarre advertisements for products that help flesh out the story and who this AI “Susan” is - a character on par with GLaDOS.

The gameplay and difficulty is extremely well-tuned. There are some hard levels but they should only take 5-7 minutes of trying to beat, and when you do it’s very satisfying. The difficulty doesn’t constantly increase as there are plenty of relaxing levels throughout and some series of levels that just beat themselves for the visual effects. After beating a challenging level, sit back and enjoy a few easy ones and the story. This game is all about the experience.

Only had this half an hour, the game handles very well, beautiful crisp graphics as we’d expect and good physics.

I had an issue with the DLC, where the game would not recognise the DLC, I ended up restarting Steam and it installed an update that fixed it, so bear that in mind if you hit that issue :)

I will update the review as I play more

One thing I will add is that the power stick on Controller seems a bit too tricky to get the exact power required, it jusmpos around, si it could do with refining.

Great game, but the problem is that some of the holes aren’t of a very high quality…

The game is great but some of the holes are very basic, for instance one piece of course, with a start and a hole, in which the hole is almost right next to the start. I understand that this is because the holes are all made by other players using the built-in editor.

How are the holes shared?

You will have noticed that there is no Workshop support for this game, which raises the question “how are holes shared?” The answer to that is simply via the game’s system which works like this:

VR Mini Bowling 2 is a combination of arcade bowling and mini golf. If you enjoyed the first VR Mini Bowling game, then you’ll definitely enjoy this follow up. I had fun and I think it’s something that would be enjoyable for the whole family.

There are 5 (10 lane) courses, along with 5 different modes. You have your standard mode with power-ups, a mode without power-ups, stroke mode (which counts the amount of strokes to get all pins down), timed mode, and finally just normal (traditional) bowling. The power-ups include wacky things like making the bowling ball a lot bigger or have it split up into three bowling balls, a fast ball, and a bowling ball with an orbiting smaller bowling ball.

I like the concept of this game and it can be quite fun, but it has a game breaking bug:

If you press the button to pick up the bowling ball too early, the game will not let you pick it up at all. Thus forcing you to restart. If it happened rarely I could ignore it, but it happens fairly constantly; Even when I tried to avoid it by waiting for the bowling ball to fully reload to attempt to pick it up.

Great game grabbed it while on sale, my only criticism there is no room reposition toggle button, i say this as i only have a small area to play and constantly have to check that it’s clear to play, i do however have one sweet spot and it would just be nice to be able to play without ornamental damage and dishing out accidental uppercuts to my room mates! But seriously great game short or long time play, you can’t moan for the price.

Really fun game! Great value conisdering it’s only $5 (less if you purchase during early access), but still has room for improvement. The courses are unique and I like that there are multiple scoring modes. The walls are a bit empty… would love to see some extra artwork there and the sound of the pins getting knocked over isn’t the best… maybe just change it to sound like real pins? The unlockable balls are really cool and I love all of the obstacles in the courses. I like how it saves your top scores, but I’ll really be exctied to try and break high scores once global scoring is up and running. Local multiplayer would be nice as this would be a great party game. Overall this game definitely gets my approval. 7.5/10 for now… with a few small tweaks this game can be 9/10-10/10.

Ballistic Mini Golf

I really don’t get why this game has mixed reviews, I may only have 4 hours into this game but it’s been a lot of fun. The game has over 17 courses (Recently added 3 more as of this date), over 10 locations which are very unique from each other, a variety of game modes to play, multiplayer support and more. So why does this game have so many negative reviews? The developers clearly care for this game due to the fact they are actively working to make the game better by adding much needed features.

Ballistic Mini Golf is a great new addition to the mini golf game genre. I am in love with this game so far. and ive only played it for an hour. The graphics are stunning, and there are some great customization options already available. There are for sure some features id love to see added, like the ability to change the player names, and maybe limit shot ammounts and or time limits. I’ve spent either 44 strokes or 15mins on a single hole. As well as having the game take you back to the course selection after completing a course instead of automatically proceeding to the next course. But all around this game is great especially considering its in its first week of release of early access. Loving it and Cant wait to see what the developers have in store for their game!

Mini Golf Buddies

Mini Golf Buddies

MIni Golf Buddies is, unfortunately, a perfect storm of all the elements that I hate in a game. Music and sound effects are either on or off, no volume control. Controls are reasonably straightforward, but on some holes the dividing line between success and disaster is both razor thin and unmarked. Customization is minimal – there is no option to run in a window rather than full screen, and it’s not a game that requires full screen for its blocky graphics.

Most–and worst–of all, it stops you every few holes begging for a 5-star review; after the third one, I clicked on the option for 1-4 stars and rather than being allowed to leave a less-than-five-star rating, I was asked to email them with what I thought was wrong with it rather than being allowed to leave a rating.

Hit a ball into a hole, it’s golf, putting exclusively, it’s mini-golf, play with a friend, it’s mini-golf buddies! You know what to expect, also you can collect coins and get stars too, so that’s fun

MiniGolf

It is a small minigolf game and I only needed 4-5 hours to play all courses - the game has 6 campaigns with 9 courses each - so if you 5-8 minutes per course - it´s about 4-6 hours gametime … But it´s pretty exact the time needed playing a party real minigolf (only that´s more expensive). The graphics are nicely done (but you don´t have a wide screen option). The gamecontrol is easy to learn and to use. The ball physics are very good … I have problems with most other games I already played in this point, because they do what they want with the ball. So alltogether I enjoyed playing this little mini gold game. 7 out of 10 Stars for me.

Introducing Minigolf. An eye-catching game of, as the title indicates, minigolf.

You will be playing through 54 holes of varying difficulty and design. You will only need your mouse to play, the keyboard’s space bar can be used to select your ball to begin each stroke, and the escape key will function as normal. You will be playing through unique locations, such as a circus, an old castle, a factory and more. Inventive layouts & obstacles will challenge you to come in under par. Over hills and through valleys, obstacles galore, and much more, reaching the hole will take a steady hand and a keen eye. The time is at hand, grab your putter and hit the greens!
